I think a way for Anakin to show Ben that Vader was not the all-powerful being Ben idolized is to appear as Vader to say "Look at me, does this look like an all-powerful being? No....I was a slave. A slave to a power I chased and would always be out of grasp, a slave to this suit that hindered me, and kept me alive for the purpose of being a slave to a man slaved to his own ambition. To find power at it's zenith and then to watch it and everything around crumble away. Look at me Ben...look at what the pursuit of power brings.
