Grizzlies are the fastest of all bear species and can hit speeds of 35 mph+.

Might have a chance outrunning a bear going down a fairly steep hill. Hebert's front legs are shorter than his hind legs so he might end up rolling down the hill. Running uphill or on flat land Husain bolt would not have a prayer outrunning a bear.

The only way to outrun a grizzly is to do cartwheels as this generally confuses the bear and the bear tries cartwheels and is unsuccessful. At this point the bear gives up and looks for easier prey.

They can reach speeds of 35mph…. Even at 25mph a human has zero chance. These bears can keep that pace up for a couple miles. Humans it’s impossible. Our hearts and lungs are too small. Sure the fastest of us can hit 25-27mph, but for a distance of 100m. That’s it. The bear wouldn’t even breathe heavy.

This particular video shows the bear chasing a moose(?) that doesn’t even know he’s there. He catches up to it, chases it into a lake and kills it there I believe. Not only does he run a marathon, he hunts and kills the animal, which is huge, as well.

A Bear can run faster up hill than you can run down hill.

They're beyond nasty. They can run over 30 mph AND run over boulders the size of small houses. You need to shoot them because you are not about to outrun them. They also have tremendous lung capacity which means they can run down just about anything. And lastly they're also HUGE! I doubt many of them go hungry for very long. They can smell you out from miles away as well. Absolutely nasty ain't even the word.

Most people have never seen a wild bear in action. If you ever do i assure you will be impressed of frightened from the experience. Their power is legendary but their speed is terrifying.
