I might have another question. I believe the time zone is being displayed incorrectly for me, showing two hours less than it actually is. Where can I adjust this? Could you please help me with this question?

I followed the instructions as given, but unfortunately, I have a small problem. I'm trying to access the address ServerIP:8080 from another computer on the network, but unfortunately, no page loads. What am I doing wrong? Can someone please help me?

Note that the install script can fail if you have less than 1GB of RAM due to the database not having enough memory to start. This can be solved by first adding some swap space **before** ever running the install script: www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-add-swap-space-on-ubuntu-22-04

How can I insert my own css and js files without using the “Custom HTML Head Content”? I can't use it, as there are a lot of non-devs admin users.

Hi. I've tried to follow this process twice, but using laragon instead of xampp. Always end up with "This site can’t be reached" "localhost refused to connect". Any idea why laragon might be causing an issue? I guess for now i'll try with xampp, but i'm sure it must be possible with laragon...

BookStack is so good. I think if you had some official cloud subscription more companies would consider it. But then what do we do for projects and tickets? Add that and we've finally get the real Jira/Confluence killer :) So many companies are tired of the apps above and are waiting for an alternative.

Thanks for the video, Dan! I host mine locally within a Docker container. Although I don't store any personal info, I feel better about having it in my home network vs. a VPS. It would be more convenient in a VPS, however. I just VPN into my home network to access it through Nord's meshnet on my laptop. No port forwarding required. I just need to figure out how to reaolve local DNS names while away on my phone so I can also use the app. Just saw your old power user video. Now, I have to find time to go through all of my pages and beautify it with all of those shortcuts, lol. Cheers mate

I’m having trouble with installing and accessing the GUI of BookStack on both Ubuntu 20.04 and 22.04. I’m using a script for the installation, but the progress seems to get stuck, climbing from 5/9 to 9/9 without completing. I’ve tried reinstalling more than 5 times on a fresh VM for each version, but the issue persists. Could anyone provide support or suggestions on how to overcome this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately, this does not help. I have Ubuntu 20.04. running, with Apache and MySQL already running, PHP is also there. I would like to ADD BookStack to the existing website/setup without destroying anything. How would I do that? I would love a step-by-step install instruction video for non-fresh machines.

This is my first time to follow your tutorial and successfully install BookStack. It works fine with localhost:8080. However, I was wondering if there is a tutorial which will help me to re-configure, the working BookStack on windows 10 with XAMPP and Apache, to work now with an external SSL certificate. I want to reconfigure it to work with external SSL certificate. Thank you so much for your help with this.

great tutorial but there is no recommendations for troubleshooting. I got all the way to the php artisan migrate command and was given a sqlstate [hy000] [1045} access denied error that I can't find a solution. I've gone back through this vid . . . FAR to many times but see no missteps. Anyone?

Thanks, the restore got me out of worryland. I had bookstack installed in a proxmox lxc via turnkey, and wanted to move to debian 12, but was having a hard time. I moved my instance from docker to the my proxmox in lxc as it was faster and thought I had a handle on restoring the database,as I've done it a few times but I got in a jam. Doing the restore as you described worked perfectly. Can I suggest, if possible, make an import/export option in the gui, to import/export, shelves, books, chapters etc.. to try and make moving much simpler??

Awesome video, I was able to get it all setup. The only difference I had in my environment was I was using the LinuxServer Docker containers. I had to use the command docker ps to find my container id, then docker cp [CONTAINERID]:/config/www/.env /.env to copy it to my host, nano /.env to edit it, Once I was done docker cp /.env [CONTAINERID]:/config/www/.env to copy it back into the docker container. After that I was all set! Thanks!

Fantastic app - thanks for making sure the backend remains in support / keeping the plumbing healthy. Not sure if useful, but pandoc may be worth looking at for document conversion, if it’s not already on your list.
