11:30 the reason Kong used his battle axe go block Shimo’s ice breath is because the axe is capable if absorbing Godzilla’s atomic breath, since Shimo looks like a similar species with the dorsal plates and use of a breath attack, Kong must have assumed the axe would work for her too.

Demons are fallen angels sent to tempt humans away from God, whom they fear but obey... So how in the heck are you going to get rid of a demon without God the Father, Jesus & The Holy Spirt? That would be like a stepmom asking her teenage stepdaughter to not use her phone again.
It’s interesting that you said this bc I was talking to my partner about if Demons were real or not & I think they are if you believe in God, so this makes a lot of sense to me.

Andrew Niccol has written several of my favorite films. I liked this one but it's not his best. I think Niccol is a genius-of-our-time writer (educated, insightful, and masterful in the use of speculative fiction) but perhaps only a passably talented director. The movies he directs tend to have a soap-opera feel to them, which suited Gattaca perfectly, but this one I think not so much. And the casting for this film (all people who can pass as 25 year olds) didn't really make for authentic-feeling characters in my opinion. Maybe most people wrote this off as a B-Movie. But maybe there are more young people around today that want to nerd-out on economics concepts, and they might give "In Time" a second go at success.

But overall, I thought the plot of this movie was enjoyable and all the actors seemed like they were really invested. Tbh I went in expecting it to mostly suck with good action scenes sprinkled in but overall in my opinion while it wasn't necessarily "Road House" it was still a fun movie and worth checking out. It's a little cheesy and hammy at times but even going in with a somewhat low expectation I ended up actually enjoying it for the most part.

I like to think that by the end of the film, Batman hasn't yet been cleared for murder. The Bat-signal is calling him in for questioning. Also, The Red Triangle Circus Gang members that Batman stopped from kidnapping the kids, will presumably have been apprehended by the police, and, thus, interviewed. They'd have known about The Penguin's plan.

@@TheFilmArchives That kidnap/murder was a big thing at the time. Most Gotham crimes don't get reported by the press/broadcast on the TV news (not even Max Shreck's kidnap), so there would be a lot of people clamouring for justice. It's funny, but Batman kills in these films, but he only ever gets in any trouble for a crime he didn't even commit.
@@GregOrCreg Lmao that is so true!! It's really funny that the model lady was only credited as the Ice Princess, yet all of Gotham is outraged by her death/kidnapping.
@@TheFilmArchives I wish she was given a real name, but I guess they called her that in the film to maintain a sense of fantasy (i.e. this doesn't happen in the real world, so only the main characters are given proper names, even The Mayor is just The Mayor, and she's meant to represent a 'princess' or 'ice princess'). I like to think she was someone important or related to someone important, and that's why the whole city went into meltdown at her kidnap.
@@GregOrCreg I agree, I think she was supposed to represent a celebrity of some kind, but I do kind of appreciate that they went that direction with the mayor, etc. I think it really helped with the pacing of the movie to not have unnecessary filler. Have you seen the 2022 Batman? I think eventually I will breakdown and recap all of the batman movies. 2 down and only 6 to go, I think? (not counting the animated ones) Lol!
Batman Returns is a great movie... when Catwoman trashes her apartment, she bashes the lights and "hello there" , becomes "hell here"
