Wonderful interview, thanks folks. Been listening to the girls since 1991 when they first played with Joe at Broardford.
Deborah Conway - propagandist for a genocidal State. May she always be remembered as someone who showed callous disregard for the several hundred thousand corpses of the dead men women and children of Palestine.
Love you Normie the best Aussie singer dinkum true blue Aussie no beating about the bush
Great interview! Midnight Oil forever❤
Maravillosa entrevista y respuestas. Conmovido. Gracias.
🇵🇸❤️🇵🇸❤️🇵🇸❤️🇵🇸❤️
How good is that!
Fabulous musos
He peaked in the 70's on countdown & was pretty cool in the 80s on Hay hay its Saturday.. after that(unfortunately)twas all down hill.
I saw Im Talking support the Models at Theberton Theatre and they blew them off the stage She was a fantastic performer very young. She always references my favourite songs and bands. . Just saw her do The Real Thing on RUclips which was fantastic. And if you get a chance to see her rendition of "Everything Alright" from Jesus Christ Superstar on RUclips it's brilliant. I think one of her best performances.
Fabulous interview, love you Shane, such an inspiration, such a beautiful heart 💙
I lived up the road from Glenns parents in Elizabeth ,Adelaide back in the 80's and always wondered if Glenn was there at his parents everytime I drove by...Great memories.
Interviewer, I hope you have had a hair cut since this interview, you sure need it.
Very impressive Colin. Your ability to do accents is 👍
Thanks for the memories Molly
Why wasnt this doco (or any footage of Molly talking in an interview) included in the Countdown special on Saturday?
Love billy bragg ❤
Class act
Love Molly. An absolute Austalian icon & legend. Such fond memories of him hosting Countdown. That was a magical show. One of the best music shows ever. Thanks for the memories.❤
Sicko....
Hi my father worked as an artist for George Patterson’s Advertising Agency in Melbourne in the late 70’s ’s and after watching this video he remembered Andrew Duffield worked as an Accounts Executive at George Patterson’s . Thought this might be of some interest . 😄 I’m watching from Brisbane Queensland
Was weird to hear his voice again. Been many years!
Alberts, Mushroom, Countdown & Ian Molly Meldrum. The foundation of Aussie music. Don't sell yourself short Molly you weren't lucky mate, you earned it.
Grew up with Molly & Countdown...the guy is a national treasure.
👍 number 100
WoW ! So hard to comment! This man is my generation. He impacted my access to music, culture and Melbourne. I love you always and forever ❤❤❤
🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
Was the interview before his accident?
Thank God for Molly Meldrum. Where would Australian Pop Music be without him? He's still revered all around the world as a passionate advocate of for popular music.
Thank You Molly! We love You!😊😉😊
Molly's a true blue Aussie who has made our music industry rock❤
Molly, you have made a lasting contribution to the Music Industry, Television and the public. I loved watching you and you miraculously survived a nasty fall, but your trademark Cowboy Hat, and your love for animals and general knowledge, you will give anything a go. I will never stop being a fan.
So you dedicated just eight minutes to this man. Great job.
Love Molly 💝
Brilliant Interview, thanks 👍😊
Only 8 minutes. Molly Meldrum was a HUGE influence on myself, my sister, brother, and friends. Seeing him only just manage not to slur - because of all the medication the doctors had him on - before we lost Molly, our national treasure, during this way-too-short documentary, is painful to watch, knowing how much he was suffering before he passed. I'd certainly expect a "Documentary" on the life of Molly Meldrum to be MUCH LONGER than a measly 8 mins. The man was/is ICONIC❤We miss you Molly, thank you for all the fun, laughter, and pure joy you brought into our lives. I can remember that on a Sat night, you'd all go out to party, of course, but NOT BEFORE watching COUNTDOWN with Molly Meldrum, and then HEY HEY, IT'S SATURDAY with Darryl Sommers, - THEN, you were set for a great night out. Molly was THE interview man who spoke with ALL the GREATS❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
He's not dead. He's still alive.
@@thelildennismenace6472 , yes, he'll ALWAYS be alive in our hearts ❤️💜🩶💖🩵💛🧡♥️💙💕💗🤎💚🩷🤍💝❣️🫶🥰😘

8 minutes?
he deserves a 1 hour documentary not just 8 minutes. this is well put together but needs to be longer. this might be old and not from this year 2024 I would assume? big question is will ian meldrum be on the 50th tv special on nov 16th? guess we will all find out when we see it.
He was, at the end.. He isn't in good health at all.
@@judylovell1322 yes the 50th show ended up being hit and miss. most of them are long gone and yes Ian meldrum did not look good and pity he could not just make it to the studio at the end of the show. the good news is 3 lost countdowns from 1978 have been found. 1 was shown on ABC entertains on nov 19 at 11-30pm. hopefully the other 2 will be screened as well over the coming weeks. a new book is also hopefully coming out in 2025.
Lucky to have him.
What a titan- good on you Molly!
Great times in music. So good to have experienced it. And the Australian music industry sure needs it again - now.
Great interview.
Could have done this interview in his Aussie voice!
Ross needs his own show, or at least make a show where his lore and sharpness can be paired with a compatible wit. A show about music , maybe not quite like "Spics and Specs" but something that will appeal to a broad range of musically minded folk. Historically, ABC would run with this but unfortunately ABC is busted.
She said she remembers the song “does your chewing gum lose its favour over night” i don’t believe her, she is too young.
Love this interview. I can identify with some of the things you said. A real inspiration. I’m 62 and I hope I have the same mind set and go as you at 76.
I learn english (by myselff) with midnight oil for lyrivs, and i am not the only one ! ;)
I love Freak Show and Neon Ballroom
Great interview, thanks crew.
Great interview, Mark definitely lived his dreams. On ya mate.
The GAME OVER T-shirt 😂 You had a great sense of humour Ollie! Much love my bro 😘
