I know its easier said than done but so many towns are like this now. Surely a plan to change them from old empty retail spaces to residential spaces would be a good option. They will never return to viable retail spaces.

I live in longton, and whenever i go tesco i see alot of homeless men outside the shop, and theres also this hotel near there and me and my family call it "druggie hotel" since all the druggies live there 💀

IMO, Councils should be offering these retail spaces to small businesses FOR FREE for a period of a year, so at least some have a chance of making something from their endeavours.

People were queuing outside as well, ridiculous

Damn shame. I lived in Crewe, back in the 90's, and believe it or not it was a lively place with some good nightlife (including the much missed Limelight Club as seen on your video!) and a decent shopping center. I was back there for the first time in a long while to visit a friend recently and I couldn't believe what a desolate craphole it is nowadays. Massive mismanagement by the council. So sad.
