    The Repar was re-enable at Tesla. But wow my full fat Range Rover has 21inch wheels and I put 2 new Perelli Verde all seasons for £440 £220 each about 2 weeks ago fully fitted and balanced and new valves at my local independent tyre shop also you can just drop in any time. I’ve had very little go Wong with my Land Rovers but maybe that’s down to not using main dealers and staying with specialist and independent shops that I trust. Which also benefits all locally instead of feeding the corporate machine. Like suvs EV’s will wear through tires quicker due to wait and also down to driving style especially if you accelerate a lot very quickly. So keep an eye on the wear due any defect on a heavy car can be disaster.

    • @WolfiesWheels
      @WolfiesWheels 26 дней назад

      The Model S (and X) are prone to wearing the inside edges of the rear tyres, which can be tricky to spot. The problem is that when you reach 70mph, the suspension lowers to improve the aerodynamics and hence efficiency. However they completely forgot that this alters the wheel camber angle so puts more pressure/force - and wear - on the inside edge of the tyre. 🤦🏼I checked for that, but not the inside tyre wall! Glad you’re enjoying your Full Fat Range Rover. I didn’t have as much luck with mine and ended up rejecting it after 9 trips back to the dealer within the first 3 months of ownership of a new car…I knew it was a gamble when I bought it, but if you get a good one they are an exceptional car and a great way to travel.👍🏻.

      @@WolfiesWheels yep very odd even JLR thought of that. Yep get why you may of been burned. Key is knowing the good ones like engines and protental issues like with any car can have. I also stay far away from main dealers due the ones I’ve been to seem to have zero clue. Bar my experience with Volvo have been very good. But when I took my first l322 in to a main dealer for a fault find, they couldn’t find it in two hours and still charged me for the privilege. I then took it to a specialist who found the issue in less than 10mins it was a sensor and was only billed for the repair. He also told me if the main dealer found it they would have replaced the entire component the sensor was bolted into at massive uneasy expense or just start firing the parts cannon at it. Also I found MD have a lot of apprentices and very few experienced MC so it’s a massive lottery how you’re car may be handled. Key find a specialist or good independent garage you can trust and build a relationship with them. Main dealers on the service side can be over rated and tend to be massively over priced. Make of that as you wish and subjective depending on brands and chains, I appreciate with warranties you’re tide in. But I’ll probably never buy a new car, mainly due to depreciation. Good vids I’m not a massive EV fan but find the tech interesting and seeing owners of older models to see how they get on. The only issue I hate is with some EV vlogers and channels it’s like a religion any concern or valid criticism there immediately on the war path with you. Key thing is I believe if some one wants ever a EV or ICE or Hybrid allow them the choice but don’t force us in just one option. But looking forward to see how it all goes.

I would not 'upgrade' for that reason alone - touch screens are a fundamentally unsafe 'feature' of modern cars - the sooner manufacturers wake up to that fact the better.

    I have been looking at the Warwick xl but I find that the drivers seat won’t go back far enough. I am 6ft so I wouldn’t have expected it to be an issue. How do you fine it?

    • @WolfiesWheels
      @WolfiesWheels Месяц назад

      Thanks for watching and commenting, much appreciated. As I recall things, the Warwick XL has the bathroom behind the drivers seat which would prevent the seat going back very far. So with the Kinghams layout, I would imagine the seat would go back further, certainly at 5’9” I can have the seat so far back I wouldn’t be able to drive. On that basis, it would probably be fine for someone who is 6’. There is however a BUT… The drivers seat on the Kingham swivels so as is usual with these seats, they sit a bit higher than the non spinning version. Given the bathroom position in the Warwick XL I would think the drivers seat doesn’t spin and is therefore set lower. I find that unless the seat is in exactly the right position, my right knee can catch on the ignition key, not a problem re accidentally turning the van off, more that in the event of an accident it is likely to go through my right knee…so my point is, that although the seat might well go back far enough, as it sits probably an inch higher than the non spinning counterpart, you might find other issues. I think the only way to find out is to go and sit in one to see… Hope this helps in some small way, sorry I can’t give a definitive response. Wolfie.

    • @WolfiesWheels

      From driving the van, the turning circle seems to be very good indeed. The brochure suggests a turning circle between kerbs of 14.24m or 46.7 feet which seems a lot to me. But compared with a Mercedes Sprinter, this has a turning circle of 16.2m or 53 feet so I'm guessing the brochure figures are right. All I know is that its very good and no problem in use! Hope this helps.

    Hello Wolfie 🙋‍♂️. Hope you and Mrs W are good 💃🕺!! Thanks for answering the points I asked you about in a previous mail. It was very much appreciated !! What did I get from it ?? I think 🤔 like you; in that: I do like some structured meaning to my day, especially if driving in a “foreign” Country !! The cynical 🤨 side of me - also was thinking 💭 “what you covered” that the brochures (Tour Guides) that you received prior to heading off - still has “very good” value on the ”second hand” front as these are of value to someone who is keen, however, does not want to fork out the expense of going with a tour !! That said: I would prefer and probably try one tour - understand how is works, and from there use the information gained and tour different parts of the same Country further on down the line !! Also - if you did become friends with the other people on the tours - you could “swap” the guides to make the tour less expensive that they have already been on !! I like the idea of getting the choice of staying at one campsite for a few days - then meeting up later at a different campsite - (jumping) perhaps two campsites that the others went to first, and - should you do a similar tour (privately) you just visit the sites you missed out the last time !! All the information you get from the Tour Company that provides information on; IE:Crit' sticker, vignette sticker, ect ect is a definite winner !! Takes out the stress and hassle !! Thanks 🙏 James 🫶❤️

    Great informative video, thanks. Would you recommend Autosleeper regarding build quality and comfort?

    • @WolfiesWheels
      @WolfiesWheels 3 месяца назад

      Thanks for watching and kind comment. As regards recommending, there are definitely some quality issues with the build of the Kingham, many of which are no more than minor annoyances as opposed to things not working properly. For example, the drawer fronts in the kitchen could do with being 5mm bigger all round and that would hide the edge of the opening (from certain angles the drawer fronts look too small to cover the aperture). So this to me is poor build quality, all AS of this age are like it but good QC would have picked this up. Things that have failed have been third party items so could happen on any van that uses the same supplier (there are many MH manufacturers but relatively few suppliers so they all seem to use one of two or three companies components such as fridges, handles, hinges etc). Comfort wise we don’t have any issues with the Kingham. Bed is very comfortable, as is settee and driving seat whether in driving position or spun round as chairs. Being hyper critical it would be nice if there were armrests on both sides of the front seats, not just the inner side. I think this has been changed on current models, but not 100% sure. Overall, I took the view that there may be better made vans out there, but the Kingham layout was as near to ideal as we could get. I can change anything in the van component wise etc if I didn’t like the quality, and improve other areas. But I can’t change the layout, so the deck on was made. You might want to check out IH, I was very impressed with the quality but sadly the layout wasn’t as good. Hope this helps!

      @@saltaireorangebicyclechopp8555 nope. A motorhome is a vehicle with a custom body on a base van . A camper is any converted van with original body. The interior doesn’t need a bathroom . It’s no big issue but that’s what the difference is 👍🏼😉

    Good video. I took my grandchildren to the event and they loved it. All the car stuff sort of went over their heads but they enjoyed the bouncy castles, mini Tesla track, electric quad bikes, electric scooters and of course the favourite of the day the ice cream van LOL

      Thanks for watching and the kind comment. Like I said in the film, at first I thought there wasn’t that much to do, but the more I thought about it the more I realised there was plenty laid on, I just didn’t do it! And that’s without the stuff for kids, which was great! Will be back next year 👍🏻

    Thanks for the vlog I'm looking at either buying a Kingham or a Chasson X650. We have a panel van now but wont more garage space

    • @WolfiesWheels
      @WolfiesWheels 3 месяца назад

      Thanks for watching and commenting. I’m not sure the garage space in the Kingham would be ideal if such space is a priority for you. There’s not a lot of height between the van floor and underside of the bed, plus the water boiler lives in the space. And importantly the air intake for the space heater is under there too. We have had the heating turn to fault mode before now when we have put too much stuff in the space and the heater hasn’t been able to get enough air (so goes to safety and switches itself off). Good luck with choosing the new van

    Nice one Wolfie (and Mrs W)….. great to hear that you had a fab holiday and the Kingham was a success. Also, great that you called out a special mention for the Windows. Any issues with condensation on the side / rear windows? All the best and looking forward to your videos on the tour company

    • @WolfiesWheels
      @WolfiesWheels 3 месяца назад

      Thanks for watching and commenting. We didn’t have any issues with the windows, although in late March/October camping trips they do tend to get a little condensation on them by morning. Not enough to worry about or have to squeegy off though, it disappears quite quickly. Tour vs non tour video will be out in a couple of weeks 👍🏻

    The layout of your van is a definite bonus when touring. We have a rear u shaped lounge with beds to make up hmmmm after our 5 week tour of Portugal and Spain it did get a bit repetitive 😂. Look forward to your thoughts about being on an organised tour. Thanks

    • @WolfiesWheels
      @WolfiesWheels 3 месяца назад

      I think as a day time layout you can’t beat a U shaped lounge. When we were looking we decided that a fixed bed was a priority though, and at this size of van didn’t come across any fixed bed U shaped lounge layouts. So we compromised U shaped lounge for the single settee and captains chairs - I don’t think there really is a right or wrong answer, more a case of which feature will annoy you least 🤣

    One can shower in a van with about 10 litres of water (one doesn't stand under a running shower)

    We have just done similar mileage in our Kingham and we were away for five weeks in France and Andorra and just like yourselves we were very pleased with the van. We mainly used toll roads to get to main locations but it allowed us more time staying on sites. We haven’t had the final bill yet from Emovis 😳but to be fair the roads were excellent and no litter. Hello 🙋‍♂️. Hope you are both good !! The thought of doing an organised travel trip in my campervan is appealing especially in Europe. Safety in No’s, exchanging views, ect ect while touring !! My question is - do all (12) vans travel in a convoy from one Country to the next ?? How do you communicate with each other whilst driving - are you given a “Walkie Talkie” to communicate with all the other drivers / vans ?? Are there “toilet / coffee” breaks - where you all pull off and meet up for an hour and exchange views ?? Do the people who run the tour give additional advice on cheap petrol ⛽️ prices, best supermarket, ect ect ?? Are you all given map references and coordination references each day before you set off ?? Is there one just one overnight stay at each campsite ?? Thanks 🙏 James ✌️🫶❤️

    Thanks for the video, just a word of advice with the awning. On the Thule awning you have bracing arms to make it more stable & less noise in the slight wind, they are the silver arms on the main body that pull out and clip in to the rafters then you wind the awning back in a little to tension them. I had mine for over two years before I found them....

      Hi. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Re the bracing arms - I was totally unaware of them until someone else commented about them! I’ve just been away again, and yes, they are there 🤦🏼. And I used them now I’ve found them 🤣. Bet there’s loads of people who aren’t aware of them!

    2 pin adapter in Europe is almost essential. Also I suggest a mains tester (European standard 3 pin socket), I'm not concerned about reverse polarity but it tells me the post is live.

      Thanks for watching and commenting. I was certainly glad of the 2 pin adapter although where we went their use wasn’t as widespread as I’d expected. Good idea re the “is it live?” tester. We had a couple of reverse polarity situations but like you, weren’t concerned 👍🏻

      Thanks for watching and the kind words, much appreciated! The water filler attachment came from the Harrogate Motorhome show, from a small one man band who had a stand. @@WolfiesWheels haha nice one… my wife and I have now made the decision that the Kingham will be our next van and much of that can be put down to your videos. Just need to sell our static and then decide on whether to go new or used (thinking the latter but we’ll see).

      @WolfiesWheels 3 месяца назад

      @@tonks1968 Wow, I is a influencer 🤣🤣🤣! Re the new or pre owned decision, I understand from the Autosleeper forum that the van now comes only on the Fiat lighter weight chassis which means it can no longer be automatically up plated to 4,500 kg. Just thought I’d mention it in case it makes a difference. But this is only what I’ve read, I’m sure a dealer would be able to confirm one way or another. Good luck with the van hunt!
