Only LMU!
sol in ac in 2024. yeaahhhh right mate. get with the times
I would agree with most of these scores, specially those related to feeling and immersion, however, there's an element of racing that is not being considered in the final verdict for each of these titles and that is the racing experience, especially offline racing (wich is something a lot of peolpe enjoy and actually prefer it to the multiplayer counterpart). I cannot talk about iRacing, but I do have first hand experience with AC, rFactor 2, GTR2 and AMS2 ai opponents and, let me tell you, there's nothing like a good battle for a position even if it is for P20. This is where AMS2 is a winner for me and even rFactor 2 is a good example of good ai, but this one is sometime a little tricky to dial just right because it's very track and car dependent, sometimes they're aliens when set to 100 and sometimes they're just garbage at the same strength level. AC's ai on the other hand can be a bit too boring when raced against because they don't defend their position and/or once you take the position they just hang back and won't attack to try to regain that position, unless you make a huge mistake (go out of track or spin out).
Really awesome quality video with your subscriber count, keep up this quality and you'll be right up there with the top sim creators out there!
With all due respect you may be a tad tone deaf. As a musician sound is everything, and it sounded like AMS2 matched the real sound best. I have them all, except iracing for reasons I will not discuss here so it doesnt matter to me, but overall a fairly unbiased review.
Distinctly possible! I guess one thing is that I haven't ever driven them in real life. Interestingly James Baldwin recently described AMS2 GT3 sound as being pleasant but not particularly realistic when onboard.
@simracinggp well, I was going by the sound of the real car at the beginning of your video. Truth is all sim games are like "injun" whiskey in the old west. Drink it long enough you swear it's the real stuff haha.
Lacks an overall comparison table with scores, as well as RFactor 2, LMU and Forza 8. Otherwise, good job!
Iracing best realistic sim...
For me it’s ACC and it’s not even close. LMU is getting very close nowadays
Great evaluation. I'm primarily a console racer (GT7 and ACC) but have dabbled with PCs. I'm excited for what EVO promises to bring to the table, based on my experiences with ACC (and AC as well). Sure, the online accessibility is not as good as i-Gouging, but a lot of people - aside from the rusted-ons - may be swayed from ACC. AMS2, and AC.
iRarcing is the best in my view, I have tried them all except RR. ACC FFB is awful btw, rubber steering.
im on my xbox like everyday, so take that as whatever, but i reckon the hidden gem amongst racers is Grid 2019. underrated and forgotten, but its so good
You just pumped up all the AC fan boy! If you have to Mod the game to make it feel good or look good then it is not being judge on the same level as the rest of Sims. IMOP. Play AC it in its raw form. People don't get in you feelings this is my opinion FFB is subjective.
I think AC is spot on, i have tried AC, ACC and iracing. Atm i drive iracing because we are holding a league which is just easier to do in iracing. But AC is def the best ffb game, brakes prob same as iracing imo. I think iracing deserved a bit more than 32. But with AC i completely agree. Evo will hopefully be a game changer 😊
lmu might now be the best, ac1 with quality mods close 2nd
I don’t normally chime in on videos here on RUclips. The quality is there, screen captures look rough, and the frames seem to drop off. Unfortunately, there are some glaring omissions in the reviews so yes you are mad. The first thing is that you give no weight to the online communities for racing and multiplayer. iRacing needs no community for “mods” per say and most common settings have pages dedicated to making the experience better. However, hands down they have the most active online racing community. Next, while AC is great, you mentioned mods, however, you make no mention that it takes hours if not days to weeks to get the full experience in AC to bring it up to modern standards. You need to install Content manager just to get started with making mods easier and then the list grows from there. Sorry but the video had great premise but failed to hit the mark. Lets see if the next version of this can be more geared towards a better and more competent scoring system.
I play them all but I'm torn between AMS2 and AC1. Running the custom FFB file (V18) on ams2 and it just feels fantastic. 4k triples just can't visually be beat on AMS2 either.
Speaking for myself as an only VR racer, AC is where I spend all my time doing that. It’s also easy in easy out. Thanks for your video!
I'm also a VR-only guy these days, though I occasionally boot up ACC. I'm in console, though, so there is only one option for me if I'm doing VR, and no, I'm not going to go the PC route.
@@supercededman supercedeedman As you like it is the only option. Drive well 🤜.
Would have been cool to include rF2's take on the AMG GT3, though I would venture to guess AC/RSS' take would still come out on top. One of my favorite GT3 class cars to drive, so much so that I bought a clone rim for it that is pretty worthless for any other cars. I won't argue with your ratings, the RSS AMG GT3 is a hell of a take on the car. ACC has the edge on all of them for interior immersion with the displays, detail and atmosphere. The RSS' driving experience is unparalleled, though, with only rF2's take coming close in my book. iRacing's is the only one I outright do not enjoy, but that's purely down to iRacing's driving/handling dynamics. Never been a fan of their approach, which is purely subjective before some of the more fervent iRacers come out of the woodwork to tell me what a dork I am. Never claimed to be the sharpest peanut in the turd...
No LMU, it's my new favourite, the FFB is really good once you get it dialled in, the car feels planted
I can't make up my mind about LMU. I need to put more time into it. It looks and sounds great, but the cars always feel a bit flat to me and seem to lack detail in the amount of driving feedback you get from them.
Honestly the thing i hate about AC is mods. Hot take i know but everytime i tried AC i spent more time installing mods and trying to figure out how to get it to act right when it inevitably doesnt. Like you said you had to get ffb mods even. Like how is the normal consumer just going to jump in and know magically what mods to get? Which are realistic and which arent? Which are compatible with eachother and which arent? Honestly its annoying to use that by the time i get it to do what i wanted i no longer want to play it anymore. Bonus point The other problem with mods is theres no way to know if its a good mod or not. If i download a custom car i have no way of knowing if it's physics are modeled halfway decent or if its just made up numbers in a txt file that arent how the car actually behaves at all
It's just too much effort to make it good. And also it never acts the same ever again after certain mods. I don't know how to describe it but the game never feels 'right' after being tainted by some mods. Even after uninstall and reinstall. The only way to get it back is to install it on a new PC. I just have it completely stock now plus content manager to avoid the bad menus because it's such a PITA to manage mods
I guess for some people trying mods, playing with them, finding gems is all part of the fun, is for me... but I appreciate that won't be for everyone!
@@simracinggp wish I was that person. I tried but just didn't like the end results. I could never get it JUST right like it seems other ppl can. Even with just graphics mods. I'd follow someone else guide exactly but then the image would be way too bright or too dark, and if it wasn't it would have visual glitches. Eventually I just gave up and play a combo of GT7, WRC, ACC, and I racing
AC braking is terrible
Giving iRacing 7 for graphics is like saying a McDonalds burger is a gourmet meal. Their attitude towards graphics in the sim is criminal.
Wait, a Big Mac isn't gourmet?
Shame you didnt do this a couple of weeks later as Le Mans Ultimate could have been included . Any plans to update this vid ?
Iracing might be one of the worst sims in my opinion, the tyres act nothing like racing slicks do in real life and I believe that’s one of the most important parts in creating an accurate simulation, you can have the best car physics in the world but if the tyres are not right then it’s all for nothing.
Great video! I’m surprised you didn’t experience the weird spinning out of control when using Iracing. James Baldwin, and gamermuscle showed it several times. It would be great to see a video post ams2 1.6 update and the elephant in the room! I.e. the lmgt3 in LMU.
IRacing vehicle is like looking through a periscope with limited view of the track. The rest of the games vehicle views are better. I have all the games but IRacing. I do not like the games that have to pay subscriptions for which IRacing is the only one.
Regarding view... In fairness the FOV is very adjustable in iRacing but that one suited me ok.
@@simracinggp I understand. I guess I am used to racing F1 vehicles where I have no restrictions of outside views. Have fun racing in IRacing and win allot of races. Happy Holidays.
It looks the best onboard too
Now do LMU's LMGT3s
I wonder how Evo is gonna run
Had a try at Sim Racing Expo and early signs were promising.
AC1 is still just wonderful, it's a hard sim to beat in many ways. The 1.6 AMS2 update is very good as well, definitely give it a shot if you haven't already. I hope that AC Evo is a step above AC1.
v1.6 is superb, big fan. Joke is I waited for months to do this video waiting for 1.6, gave up, did it, then 3 days later v1.6 arrived!
Your dead right mate. AC does all the right things in capturing a realistic driving experience.
I'm glad you picked AC as the winner. I've been into sim racing for about three years. I've used iRacing, F1, rFactor2 and ACC - but my favourite is AC. It just feels right to me.
You left out car variety, online racing and AI quality as benchmarks.
AC for the last 5 years, today first time iracing and its nice but nothing beats AC especially since its only 5 bucks and the rest are free mods. i pay now 80 for 6 months iracing with 3 gt3 cars and nordschleife
One thing I would add, is online racing experience. iRacing would likely get a bump up as would ACC. But how would that all play out?
Ams2 is mile over competitor.
AC with Content Mgr, CSP, Pure, and some outstanding car addons, it is amazing that a game as old as AC still has legs. I agree with the score of 40 for Asctto Corsa.
The price is not fair in my opinion for ams2. I think you should count the cars and tracks in a pack and devive the cost by that number so you know what one car/track cost.
Which makes sense if there is a way to buy them separately, but there isn't
one big point that make acc and iracing a great game is the online mode, ams2 and ac is pretty dead or you must join a league
RaceRooms default setups are veeeery beginner-friendly, meaning understeering. I think they doesn't really show RaceRooms real physics on the limit, unfortunately, unless you tweak the car a bit, like rear wing or ARB, so the setup gets a bit more balanced.
Iracing looks even worse then mine somehow
The biggest problems I personally see with ACC is the brakes as you mentioned (if it's realistic there shouldn't be any "getting used to them" needed), and the gear sounds. Most of ACC's sounds are quite good, but the gear whine sounds more like an electric motor from an LMH car. I find it distracting especially trying to modulate power coming off slow corners.
electric motors dont make a sound, so what you hear in LMH cars is actually the transmission
What is the brakes in the real cars take some getting used to?
I 100% agree. Great video
Thanks for watching!
Bro doesn’t know what subjective and objective is 💀 but great video ❤️
IMO, AC is king. Especially with the mods. Except for just GT3, it's the only title you can do whatever the hell you want. Wanna do F1? AC. MX-5 cup? AC. LMPs? AC. Dinosaurs? AC. Any car, any track. I hope AC Evo will have mod support
Where to get good realistic mods?
United racing design and rss
I love all 4 games. But, Assetto Corsa is really addictive! Every day is a new possibility.
RaceRoom Racing Experience is very good since the last update so is AMS2
You forgot the best, rFactor 2
LMU :D
I have driven the McLaren in RF2 and ACC to compare both at Silverstone for a good few hours today, I preferred RF2 for physics and Force Feedback I'll give AC a try tomorrow.
Nothing beats it. Even higher praise on the GT side of things. Dudes like RSS, URD and VRC bring on the heat everytime. Great video! 😎
I love your track overhauls ❤️
@@ColinLinvog Thanks, my dude! Got a bit deeper into the extensions now. Let's see what comes next :)
