Hey WIlliam! thank you so much for this videos that taught me lot of thing about tihs amazon software!
At 8:00 in the video I was like: OK this would have taken me around 20 seconds in Blender. What's the point? Though I really like the fact this is voxel and you basically never had to move a single polygon. 3DCoat is the tool I am always looking at but it's so intimidating I never pulled the trigger because I feel like it will take me 2 years to learn it. The UI is what is putting me off the most. It seems there is no logic or proper hierarchy. It's very difficult to make a good UI and probably I am also used to other software like Blender, Affinity, Adobe, etc. Maybe one day I'll try it again... 3DCoat overall seems a very powerful tool.
I dont' understand why everytime i use 2D paint on a new layer it automaticallly goes back into the orginal layer with the object. any help with that?
Hey u might have had auto pick turned on at the top of the window. Try turning it off . Hope it helps
my man thnk u so much.. i have been trying to find that baking occlusions and all that too.. they changed places without warning.... they need a dedicated UI team to make this awsome programe user friendly.. right?
Thank you for the video! 😍👍 This is the third time watching and I've learned alot😁 Btw Where can i get those texture stamps?
do they offer non comercial license for non students?
Hey man! Trying tot sign up for your patreon but it seems like you are not active on there and your website doesn't work. Are you still in it?
cool
could you share how to use those shapes/ stamps to add texture for things like the snowy mountains
how is called technique 2:15 , I see this often but I dont understand how to work with that. Its confusing, my brain have problem imagine 3d object in 2d silhouete. Any video where its can be explained? Thanks.
thanks, good stuff! I can see a bit of struggle with some tools and settings, but in the end you got something interesting and quite close to your original reference. Maybe try playing with booleans in your next sessions, they are really good and fast in Coat. As for painting, I wouldn't say Substance is faster... It is different. Substance is great with semi automatic smart materials, and has much better baking tools. In SP you can quickly drop few smart materials on different parts, and get quick and dirty textures really fast. But if you like manual handpainting in 3D - Coat is probably a better choice.
Great video mate! Is it always the case that you tend to lighten the colour the further away in the background the objects are or is that just a rule for this project. I know the further away you go the contrast in tone get tighter and tighter until you eventually just have one colour (usually at the very far background) Also 548 subscribers as of now! This channels definitely going to blow up with the quality of your videos!
was very helpful in understanding how to use 3D coat. hope you make more of them. Sub.
Nice did you follow antons tutorial??
Subbed!
that's great, thanks!
Dude thank you. Please keep making more like this. I was able to follow you and understand your step. Thank you.
I'm glad you found the video helpful! I'll definitely keep making more content like this.
Hi, excellent tutorial 🔥👌 could you share the prompt for the slum facades, id like to follow along.
Thanks! yea here is the Prompt "clean rendered photorealistic image texture of a sci-fi cyberpunk apartment building window facade"
Good job!
Thank you! Cheers!
Cool! Thank you!

Dope! Helpful content bro. Keep Creating 🤘
Glad you think it's dope! I'll keep creating as long as you keep watching!
@@williamstevensart Fasho!
Really helpful. Thanks
Thank you for watching and I'm happy you found it useful!
I like your concept art, a lot more detailed than others I've seen but they make sense. the others just have a bunch of brush strokes: these are trees, this is landscape, a little building . . . to me it just looks like you gave a 3 yo a brush and they just made a lot of lines
Im glad you like the content!
Thank you so much for the videos, found your channel through blender concept art...I want to learn more about Blender. How to create those buildings using many modified shapes, how to create uniue shapes that would match the 2D concept etc
Glad you are interested, I will be posting more real time videos outlining the process more in depth in the near future!
Good stuff bro! We need more 😁
Thanks bro, I'll try to clone myself for more content!
awesome works bro
Thank you! Cheers!
5 minutes in and already like & subscribed, I was looking for something like this, I struggle a lot with background and I get caught up in details so this definitely helps. Can't wait to try it out. Thanks 🙏
Awesome, thank you! Im glad i could share some knowledge!
Awesome more please
On it! lol should have more by tomorrow
Cool to see Smartify Nodes being used on some dope concept. You can synchronize some snow & frost effect on a bunch of materials at lonce if you want, and make it appear by painting vertex colors.
Thanks! im relatively new to the smartify addon and have been experimenting with it a bit lately. I will have to check that out!
Definitely interested to see longer video, I’m really interested in your knowledge honestly
Thats awesome to hear, I plan on doing alot more real-time process vids so I can share how I apporach things in a more realistic manner as opposed to timelapsing everything.
Dude this is insane. Amazing job.
Thanks alot! Ive got lots more content prepared so stay tuned in!
very Good! I'm a novice at blender. Could you please take the assets in your asset browser?
Great music and great art! Thanks for sharing your process
Thanks so much for the positive feedback! Im glad you like the content!
