Here in Italy a lot of chemical companies have polluted the water the soil and the air, from pfoas in po valley and chromium and lead in Taranto, and dioxine in seveso those place have the highest amount of cancer cases in Europe, unfortunately those companies have done nothing and neither condemned, today we have green chemistry and technology btw those companies doesn’t want to spend any single euro for innovation.

I've worked with ceramics and everyone knows that glazes with cadmium are universally not food safe. And that's just on the ceramic piece (plate, mug, etc.) that might touch your food. Having it directly in your drinking water or food to consume is so much worse.

Heavy metals are not a threat in alkaline soils but is acid soils yes especially if the soil has little clay and little carbon,lack of carbon is the big problem

Dental florosiss is usually caused by over exposure to floride. How ironic many in Canada and USA have the beginnings of this disease amd were also paying for it financially. Not only is government wasting money putting floride in our water, so no one gets a "standard dose". Some people drink more water than others, allowing disproportionate levels of floride based on weight and exposure.

Problem is not only in one person or company or nation. Problem is in all of us. Blaming others for pollution, while demanding perfectly shaped potato in a grocery stores is duplicitous. You need to use a lot more insecticides and who knows what to keep vegetables only looking beautiful. I see people in stores being appalled by a slightly wilted lettuce and not buying it, when you can easily put in a water for 30-60 minutes and it's fresh again. We all need to change.

Usually most mines starts far away from residential areas building thier own workers villages/towns nearby then when the mine close down people flock to this area's establishing residential areas next to toxic dumps and later blaming the mining campany,but its also not right for the operating mines to pollute existing clean water structures

Everything about nuclear energy is a curse.

When i was a kid we travled round France for tree weeks every summer. One day when i was sitting in the back of the car looking at the landscape passing by i said "soon we will pass a nuclear power plant" my parents looked at me in dusbelieve, " why are you saing that" they asked me. And just as i predicted we soon passed a nuclear power plant. I had observed that every time we aprossed a nuclear plant those balls of misgrowth in trees got more and more numerous, and after we passed they got fever. Every nuclear power plant on earth leakes radioactivity. This unlike co2 is a real threat to life on earth 😢

And they tell us that nuclear is green power, and most people are ignorant enough to believe it 😢
