The way forward. With the millions of GEN Z and their capabilites its time to organize GEN-Z Chapters in every corner of the country. Chapters will focus on National govt and County govt. 1. The national Govt chapter will focus on the national govt on matters to do with the budget, finance bill , Auditor General reports and all things national govt and do follow ups and any other matter concerning the national govt. For example, If the budget says the money will go to a certain project a follow up is required to ensure money budgeted is for the intended project and actually we need to know where the project is so that we can go there. Kudo to those who shot down the recent conflict of interest bill that Legislators sneakily tried to erase a section that would have benefited them. 2. County Chapters. County Govts are equally important as national govt. They are probably more so since all Kenyans live in a county and the performance of the county govt dictates how you live. Today Kabete county has instituted recall against its MP. What they did they got a constitutional lawyers from Kabete who guided on how to recal Mps plus the evidence against the MP. Spice FM interviewed the Lawyer. Watch the program Every county shall have a GEN-Z chapter to hold their county govts to account. The responsibilties of the county chapters similar to national govt chapters is to get involved in County Govt matters on budget processes and general accountability. Know what the budget and finance bills are and proposed projects in counties. Know how much is allocated to your county and what those funds are being used for and follow up on funded projects to ensure they are done. 3. GEN-Z Chapters should be created for all types of groups from professionals like business, lawyers, doctors, nurses, teachers. Including Boda Boda chapters, Mama Mboga Chapters. These will be created in every county. 4. All GEN -Z chapters will be involved in dispensing civil education to the masses for them to be informed citizens. All GENZ's will have a copy of the constitition on their phone or hard copy whichever suits them. The first citizen education will start with your parents. Citizen education can be done anywhere and every where. EVen in barber shops, beauty shops open grounds, beauty shops, GENZ educating their parents on what matters and how to identify honest candidates and those who dish out money are not necessarily the best because that give those who donate millions its probably stolen money our taxes. We need a civil education booklet and every GENZ should download a copy of the constitution on their phone that they can reference. 5. The Idea of translating the Finance bill in all vernacular languages was a master stroke. This shoud be encouraged 6. Ensuring people have Voting cards and ID's. 7. We need a third force in this country. The force will not be a politcal party but voted in as an Independent. People will be elected as individuals. Individuals will be voted according to issues of like minded men and women. They will be responsible for identifying like minded candidates in their counties for every elected office from MCA, Governor, MP and Senator who share the same values. They will be required to sign a contract that they will be servants of the people and not the other way round. We should remain party less just individuals elected on an independent ticket. The problems we have seen with parties is when they go to parliament they vote party line just because the party says one should vote for a bill regardless of its imapact; brought us the current Finance bill and even past ones that were dragonian to the citizen. The Finance bill will not have passed if we had a party less majority in parliament because legislators will not be beholden by party politics but vote on issues.
