God I love this piece. To me this is the perfect piece and they got the perfect guy to score at the last minute. I'm always curious as to what Howard Shore's score would have been like, but THIS to me is the definitive modern Kong score.

at 0:15 the movie I watched has a very very low, short, double bass(or cello, idk) sound at the end of that section. But all the music I've found do not have that sound, instead, it's a harp sound, this drives me nuts

Wow, how did you get your hands on this manuscript?! This is by far my favorite score and I've wanted to study it but don't have the time to do a full transcription. Do you have it as a PDF that you could share?

I also love how John Williams just always brings in harp or random percussion in what he writes.

I don't think I imagined the range so high on a tuba. Lovely. Like a heavier euphonium, almost.

I'm trying to buy the full orchestral score but it's out of stock anywhere and no one is selling. The only PDFs I've seen are for windband. Do you have at least the brass sheet music, if not the full score you could send?!

This was always my favorite recording of the Williams! I remember when having a copy of it was rare and took a lot of work to acquire. Now everyone can hear it!Thanks so much for sharing it with the world!

Okay i am not to the high enuff level to play this nicely i dont think but honestly music makes sence and honestly fire cuts and timings top tier

At 2:07, John Williams accents the fully weighted lower notes, along with the Horn solo (each gravestone equals a new measure). This is POWERFUL. The synch points I think is John Williams's way of showing the full weight of grief that Ryan feels. These aren't JUST gravestones, they were people who stories were cut short, voices left without an ability to tell their story. Mr. Williams, in a way, gives these soldiers some voice, even if brief.
