I have an 05 ranger 3.0l and it overheated one day and it will still start and run but starts squealing after running for awhile then after you kill it, it wont start back. Not sure what the problem is, im use to working on obs chevys. Any advice is appreciated and considered.

Awesome video! My 99’ ranger has been misfiring (and super weak in power) for about 15,000 miles now (currently about 184,000). Going to do exactly what you did here as I think it’s the same issue (code says misfire on cylinder 6). I’ve replaced the clutch & many other parts on this truck & like to keep it as a spare vehicle or loaner to others.. Also, frequently I have the “1 click no start issue” so I need to fix that as well. (Replacing some wires, cleaning connections, new relay & I think it will be good). Great video! Super helpful

This is the 1st I have heard about this problem. I heard some 3.0 ranger V 6s made before 1996 had head issues with possible cracks. Many have gone 250k without issues.

Is the torque spec for the head and lower manifold accurate for a 2001 ford ranger 3.0? I’m stage 2 for the head bolts and it comes completely loose I’m nervous about the torque

Great video, friend. I own a Pontiac g3 2010 and it's pretty much the same car as this. I got it used recently but it's having jerking issues, inside smells of snoke when i start it, deceleration as i go up hill and can't really go faster than 80/90 km per hour. I have already tried changing spark plugs, fuel injector cleaner and nothing changes. I think i should get a new Catalytic converter. What say you, sir?

Hey quick question, I just did my front brakes on my NX300, but noticed, did you maybe forget the upper spring/retaining clip on the upper side of the brake pads? I initially installed mine in backwards on the driver's because when I was prying the pads off, they fell and hit the floor and the spings flew off of them so I could not see and compare how they were meant to be installed, and naturally the spring clips on my new pads also differed in appearance as well. Not nitpicking, just curious.

I have a Ford Ranger 1993 v6 3.0 4x4 XLT and the shop is cleaning the heads and valves, however, the head gasket has all four holes on each end opened, is that because is for FWD and not for RWD? The shop says it should have one open and one close on the head gasket and should say Left or Right, but I read if is for FWD they are the same with front and back holes open, is that correct? Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you

Don't forget to put a oil pan underneath the dipstick..you will loose some oil when you pull it out. I learned the hard way..😫

How did you decide which rotor/pad kit to buy from Rock Auto. Why did you pick the Powerstop vs. some of the other brands?

Just swapped out to a new synchronizer and sensor. Marked everything and new one went in with no problems, lined up perfectly, and in the EXACT same position as old one. Started it up went for a little drive runs and idles perfect. After a restart of the engine we're getting a p0340 code. I clear the code, runs fine no light then shut it down, restart and the code pops up. Any thoughts?

My 1995 SL500 (R129) does not have a analog box on your video. How do I clear the CEL on my SL 500
