Hey love, I hope you’ve been well and blessed. Are you able to provide an update on your time in the US? I’m sure I’m not alone in wanting to hear how you’re finding it now!
Well done , such a strong girly I am a man and really enjoyed this thank you
How many hours are you working a week?
45-60
@Alexandrasblog_ damnnn not sure i can do that long term and still be satisfied with my life
love the video, how'd you get a job within the US, Looking to move but i want a retail job
I transferred with my company from the London office
@@Alexandrasblog_ah right I see cool
Congratulations Sister may our father continue to bless and protect you. To him be all the glory, honor and praise. I really enjoy your videos please keep them coming. I will be moving to the states also so the information you are providing is very helpful. You are the perfect example of being obedient to God and following his instructions, now look at what he has done. Again congratulations and keep serving him. 🙏🏽 stay blessed. J
Shared ownership is Scam
The U.K is in big trouble. Good luck for you
Congratulations ❤
Hi thank you for this detailed information. I live in the US and currently dating someone from London. We are trying to figure out a way to get him to move here; without having to use an immigration attorney. Any tips or suggestions? Thank you in advance
Hi, unfortunately I don’t. My experience was very specific to transferring with my company so everything was built into that process. I mean if he wanted to transfer with a company then they would also do all the legal work and documentation for him too.
I was wondering if anyone has any info or if you could even point me in the right direction about getting work out in the States 🇺🇲 as a fully Qualified electrician from Scotland 🏴 I'd love to check out what's its like over there and possibly move one day. Any Information would be massively appreciated. Thanks
Hi from Scotland 🏴 I'm seriously thinking about moving to the USA, I'm hoping to get married over here with my missus in the next couple of years, Is there any insite to what it would intale for someone late 20s full qualified electrician and missus is a auxillery nurse. Any Information will be extremely appreciated
Hi! Unfortunately I wouldn’t be able to advise as my circumstances were very specific to financial services. I’m not sure what the requirements are for other careers/ trades. Your best bet would be to speak to an immigration firm about what the requirements are for your industry as there may be specific visas pertaining to your area of expertise.
@Alexandrasblog_ send details on how to support your channel ❤ Thank you for getting back to me. Really appreciate it 🙏. Subscribed and look forward to more of your content.
im new here and so so so happy for you! praying to God this will be my portion. I would like to move to the usa when i get to a point in my career
Very eye-opening
Congratulations 🎊
Hello...If u r British citizen tourist in America and u want to work or settle in America..how can u change your Visa from Tourist to working? Do u need to apply on your own or your Employer will apply,y that on your behalf? Thanks
Hi! I can’t advise for sure as I didn’t take that route. I entered the US on a work visa. I would suggest that you get immigration advice to get the right answer but I’m assuming that you wouldn’t be able to convert a tourist visa to a work visa. Usually whatever visa you enter in on is the visa that you’ll have whilst you’re there. And yes a work visa requires employer sponsorship
@Alexandrasblog_ thank you so much..
Wont he doooiiitt!!
I legit thought you were alexandra burke
😂
Well done. So I am assuming that you don't have to be an American citizen before you buy a house.
Thank you! And yes correct. I thought you did but you just need to have a valid visa and a good credit score
Congratulations! Praise the Lord! It is so refreshing to see a young person acknowledging God in everything. Continue to keep Him first in everything.
Congratulations 🎉🎊🍾
Congratulations, on your brand new house. It's beautiful, just for right size for a single person. Giving God the glory for all he has done for you. First time seeing your channel.

Alexandra I'm so proud of your accomplishments but you put the wrong day up on your screen (June 27) Godisluv 🩷🙏
Thank you! 😊 also not sure why June 27 is the wrong date?
Praaaaaise Jesus! Congratulations sis ❤
Omg congratulations 🎉🎉🎉❤ your house is gorgeous and so big. Thank you for continuing to share your journey with us and your faith ❤️ This is a random qu but can you speak on the quality of new builds over there compared to the UK?
Thank you!! God is so good! Glad I’m able to share these testimonies with you guys ♥️ So tbh I can’t as I didn’t have a new build house in the UK, I had a new build flat which was made out of bricks but had very thin walls lol. One thing I have noted in America generally though is the plumbing isn’t as good as the UK.
Woow this is amazing. God is good!!! Congratulations!!! 🥳🎉 It’s beautiful to see how far God has brought you from your PH Walthamstow days 😊
Congrats Alex, really inspired by your journey.. been following and truly proud and inspired all in one.. Could you please share how you were able to build credit so quickly as I know it’s almost next to impossible to transfer your UK credit profile to the US from UK except thru AMEX.. Will really appreciate it
Yes I definitely will!
Congratulations, this is a huge accomplishment 🎉. Glory to God 🙏🏿
Massive congratulations, silent watcher for the few years now! 👏🏾👏🏾 your journey has given me so much hope
Congratulations x🎉❤
Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉 and welcome to America 🎉🎉🎉
JESUS IYEEE!! He has done it again!! Congrats girl❤️🔥
Yes HE has!!!
Ahhh yeahhhh, God is good. Congrats Alex 🤩😍
I am so proud of you!
will you marry me..
This is really interesting as I currently work for a large bank and I’m studying accountancy in the UK. I had always thought about moving to the USA. I do wonder how hard it’d be to prove that you have specialist knowledge especially if you’re fairly early on in your career and have a degree that many others have as well. Do many people in the big 4 make the move and if so are they quite advanced in their roles? :) xx
Hi! So from experience I know a few people who have transferred within the big 4. Most of have 2-5+ years experience. The US immigration rules also require that you’ve done at least 1 year outside of the US firm before transferring across
@@Alexandrasblog_ ah ok thank you very much for that information :) hope life is still treating you well out there!
Hi - Thanks for this video extremely useful can I ask how it worked when you said your property went down in value? As far as I remember from the video you said the original value was £305k, the property was originally valued at £320k and then after the valuation expired it went down to £292k, if that is the case your responsible for anything below the original value didn’t you owe the housing association 13k? Super useful if I could pick your brain on how that works as it seems like the property depreciated and actually had negative equity? Could you advise if this is typical and what caused it to go down and the ways you could combat a low ball valuation?
Hi there! So you have to pay the housing association if you sell below the market valuation. I can’t remember exactly what I sold it for but I think it was £295K and so as it was valued at £292k I got to keep the £3k. I think anyway I can’t remember tbh. But that’s how it works anyway. And no there wasn’t negative equity as I only owned 65% and so my original mortgage was for $188k and the 35% I paid rent on. I hope this makes sense but let me know if not!
@@Alexandrasblog_ thanks so much you’re video was super eye opening, could I also ask if you think staircasing up to a lower amount would help to allow the property to sell easier? Of course as you mentioned the HA makes you take your maximum affordability but let’s assume someone’s maximum affordability was 40% would you recommend stay at your initial share and not stair case intentionally to assist with an easier exit? I can see this might mean lower equity growth but is it a risk worth taking? Grateful for your time and thoughts, thanks again for getting back on this!
@@samiulislam5918so my next door neighbour who had a one bedroom had a 25% share and was able to sell her flat pretty quickly. The 65% made it hard selling it another person looking for shared ownership as a lot of people couldn’t afford 65% I think that’s why I ended up having to sell it on the open market. I can’t advise whether it would be easier or harder to sell a lower amount but in my opinion I do think it plays a factor
@@Alexandrasblog_ thanks again for your thoughts and time, best of luck to you on your future endeavours
Congratulations! Did you hire an immigration lawyer in London to help you? thx so much!
Thank you! No I didn’t as my company has an internal legal immigration team
May i ask why did you decide to move to the States? your videos are really helpful! thx
There were many reasons but ultimately - personally, spiritually and professionally it made a lot of sense!
Thank you Alexandra! Wish you all the best!!
🙏🙏🙏 Amen 🙏🙏🙏
Hi, I am flirting with the idea of leaving the UK, considering US. What visa options do I have if I have no family there or a job lined up?
Hi! So I’m not aware of all the visa options and so I would advise you to speak with an immigration firm as I wouldn’t want to give incorrect advice given my limited experience. From what I know and based on what I’ve heard from other people (again please do your own research) options are based on sponsorship from a company through having a job, having your own business, studying in the US, and being married to an American.
@@Alexandrasblog_ Thanks for the advice! Lastly, do you know anything about Greencard lottery and if I can try that?
@@JordanHendersonsBlog www.usa.gov/green-card-lottery
Hi, im 15 years old and i'm three months from starting to my a levels to become a forensic psychologist, i've always dreamed of moving to usa but i also made up my mind that i would like to become a ultrasound technician so i have a question, once i move (hopefully) to the usa, ahould i stick to be a forensic psychologist or become a ultrasound tech, in califorina specifically
Hi! Unfortunately I can’t answer your question as it’s very specific and not in any way related to the work that I do. So I can’t advise specifically. But I would suggest that you speak to an immigration lawyer (you can google immigration advice) and talk through what your options would be. You could also research an American company who specialises in what you want to do and ask them how you could move across as a British person and what that would look like. You might also want to consider doing your degree in the US.
The NHS is not free-some of us pay for it through taxes.
Correct! The point I was making was receiving a bill through the door once you’ve used a healthcare service. Unless you use private healthcare in the UK you won’t be billed (rather than indirectly through income and national insurance taxes which is taken from gross salary) monthly. We don’t have the same concern of calling an ambulance and worrying about a $3000 bill to do so.
