(Religion and gender dysphoria are both part of my life, but I'm coming at it from more of an Anglican perspective.) About the verse in Deuteronomy: there’s one more thing besides the text itself, and that’s the context. The context makes it more complicated to read. I don't have a specific thing I'm arguing for, but I just wanted to post some points that might be useful. Sorry for the long post that follows! What are the words in Hebrew for "item" and "garment"? "Keli" for a man's item that a woman shouldn't bear, "simlah" for a woman's garment that a man shouldn't wear. And what do they mean? Apparently "keli" is often used for weapons and armor (i.e., women shouldn't go to war), and the grammar is odd: it makes it seem like "keli" and "simlah" aren't meant to be synonymous. So one interpretation is that women should be prohibited from taking on men's social roles. There's another complication. In Deuteronomy, the prohibition is followed by other rules about maintaining boundaries: don't yoke two different species together, don't mix fibers, don't plant two kinds of seeds in the same field. I'm confused about this. What's going on here? Companion crops can be good for each other and good for the soil, so is it really saying we should never plant beans and squash together? Well, it might be, and we just have to trust it. Or it might be a law that only applies inside Israel (Maimonides says this), or it might be about cross-breeding new species, or it might be a way of defining a sort of sacred purity. And do these prohibitions apply to Christians under the New Covenant? Also, what does "abhorrent" mean? What exactly is the nature of this prohibition, and what is being prohibited? Yeah, I would tend to agree with the majority of what you've said here. It's definitely a topic that's not generally handled with the appropriate level of care and attention. It really irritates me how frequently men will use the Bible to justify actions that are plainly not loving or considerate towards their wives; and it bugs me even more how often they get away with it even when exposed. As a fan of Philosophy Tube and Contra Points, I just want to point out that whatever past they shared is between them. They clearly do not speak ill of each other publicly. At least not directly. It also seems fair to point out that, even though they have made statements that seemed ill informed or insensitive in the past, they have since tried to learn and grow as people. I was an intravenous drug user and heroin addict for years (I'm open about it; earned my state peer support certification last year, sober date 05 Mar 2017). As a drug addict, learning how to manipulate others becomes second nature. One of the things that stood out in this video is the way these p e d o s learn to manipulate children into giving them what they want, just like a drug addict does to people in their lives to get money and/or drugs. A true addiction to *anything* is a sickness, but I do NOT think addiction is a disease. As long as an addict is self-aware, they CAN choose to not feed their addiction, just as I did as a drug addict. I believe that p e d o s can do the same. Just my opinion.

The net sadly is seething with these people, it's truly bottomless. I admire your dedication and perseverance in taking this action, your simply raising awareness and that's something parents to have more of.
