This is fictitious, however, the moral sends a message. I don't know where this still happens. I've been to many hotels from 3 to 5 stars and never seen anything like this towards Black folks. However I have seen employees being rude and lie about the state of rooms I've been in.

I'm glad to find these stories. I moved from a large city where there are prosperous/ well to do black and white people. I moved to a small tennessee town 30 minutesaway from my husband family. And yes, things like this really happens in 2024. It happened to me and it was an eye opener I have never experienced open rasism before. Every store, or restaurant when we walked in heads turned and all eyes on you like you're an alien from space. The funny part is we can afford to purchase anything their little small stores. But I will never give them a red penny. I shop where color is not an option. I was brought up that Jesus loves us all. Red, Brown, Yellow, Black, or White.

You can not train decency. You cannot train someone to not hate someone because of the color of their skin. Even in 2024 this still happens. I've experienced it many times. Worst one was when coming home from Kentucky after our son's graduation from Ft.Knox & being chased on the highway by a truck & a car being yelled at by racist people. It was very scary.
