Charlie how do we have clipping boundaries for non-xref objects? is there a similar command that will clip other objects like blocks, polylines etc.

Wouldn’t be easier make it in Inventor??
It works well when you only have Xrefs but when you also want to clip geometric entities or blocks already existing in the drawing, AutoCAD generates as many frames as there are blocks and that's really not so good when you want to move the Frames...

At 1:50, you can weld the vertices of spline so that walls are closed. But in extrude modifier, uncheck two options- "cap start" and "cap end". This is the correct way i think.
if I weld, the extrusion becomes a box
"Lets not close this spline" Later in the video "Ok here we have the shell modifier issue. Surely it's the modifier issue, not my mistake at all. Oh, and instead of merging the spline, let's extend it a bit more, but first we have to detach it because you wont be able to do that without doing that first" Wtf. If you dont know how to use max, just watch more tutorial. Not make one.

Use another tutorial. This whole video is a pool of mistakes. Shell will always have some kind of distortion if you bend the original shape. So it's not ok to be used in archvis.

It's super obvious that my username is just a hint of how stupid you are to start an argument with a potato. Just imagine yourself sitting in your kitchen arguing with a potato. Pretty stupid right? That's what's happening right now. I can name my account coronavirus for all i care, it's not even qualified to be a point of an argument. Only the stupid ones picked that one up. You're one of them. And also, if you got so much out of this, then be careful. It's obvious that you're a noob and this tutorial is teaching the wrong way and you're gonna be looking back at this comment in the future and feel how stupid you are to be a lot dumber than a potato.

@@123bacio this whole video is. He's a total noob in 3ds max and made a lot of mistakes. And thats not the best way to do precise walls. Shell modifier will always have a little bit of distortion.
