Scrapper's Detailing
США
Добавлен 3 янв 2022
I am Scrapper, an average guy with a touch of OCD, so cleaning has always been a big deal for me. I figured what better way to channel that obsession than through creating a side business of cleaning up other people's messes. I also enjoy computers and editing, so I thought I would combine those two passions and create this channel.
I hope you enjoy the content and it gives you a feeling of satisfaction after my work is done. Thanks for spending just a little of your time watching.

How to Achieve the Perfect Spring Car Clean
This is my first ever wash and talk video. I wash my wife's Toyota RAV4 Sport after a rough winter, and I point out some problems with Toyota's white paint. It's also quite the eye opener when I see just how much contamination is in this paint!

"I'm used to the standard measuring system... gallons" lmao, always good to throw some humor in to the videos 😀 Here in Australia we are blessed to have AutoGlym on store shelves, as well as Bowden's Own lines of products. Gives us some very nice retail options.
Yeah, a little bit of humor definitely can make a video come to life! You are lucky to have those products readily available. We also have some great products available. Usually have to order from Amazon as most stores don't necessarily carry the best products, but usually just the best marketed ones...
it looks like you sprayed terminator and then carpet bomber before agitating and extracting. would it be better to agitate and extract with just the terminator and then after do the same with carpet bomber?
The P&S guys apply both so I just do what they do. I don't always use Terminator unless there are some biological spills.
Did you just use the carpet bomb on the car floor carpet? What ratio..turned out great!
I applied Terminator and then Carpet Bomber. Terminator is not diluted and Carpet Bomber about 3:1 with water.
I’m glad mine came with the black hose! 👍
Same now that I've used it!
The black hose is better, it won’t break like the clear one.
I agree!
Great review! May I ask what wheel brush you used in this video - I couldn’t find it in your product recommendations…

Autoglym are a long established car cleaning company in the UK and along with the likes of Simoniz and Turtle Wax used to be to be some of the only car cleaning products you could lay your hands on .... There's an awful lot of brand snobbery in the detailing world though and to some minds if a product doesn't involve you selling off an arm, leg and a kidney it's rubbish and they wont even attemot to look at it and sadly to them Autoglym falls into this category..... I'm not saying they are the best but they are nowhere near as bad as people who, 99% of the time, have never used them claim to be .... Theres no denying though they're not really designed for the professional user and are more aimed at the home/weekend warrior cleaning their own car or cars although they do release some stuff in larger 5-10 litre containers .... I can believe what you paid for it though, its maybe £25 here in the UK or $30 before any taxes are applied to it but we find the same with a lot of American brands on Amazon or even from the company website that adding in postage doubles the price 8:16
Hey, had to see what an American says about our Auto Glym product. I've had to order attachments for a Ryobi pressure washer in the states because I can't get them in the UK so I feel your pain. The accent you couldn't understand is a "Brummie" accent the show is based in Birmingham, West Midlands England and it has it's own accent
Yeah, the trade distance seems to be a problem, but funny enough, I have no problem getting any product from China I want easy. It is quite an interesting accent.
Who lives like that with their car? DIsgusting!! And for those who say "it was the kids"... can you imagine how those kids will grow up after being allowed to be this disgusting? The future is bleak for whoever has to deal with them in the future and throughout their lives.
Yeah I couldn't do but they sure make interesting videos!
In terms of P&S interior cleaner, it also works amazing on leather. It was orginally develop as a leather cleaner but once they realized it worked on other hard surfaces, they marketed it as more of an all around APC interior cleaner. I love that stuff, works great.
Wow, I didn't know that.
I've use P&S products for years but have yet to try their carpet bomber. I am considering it but not sure yet. In terms of your detail, you mentioned you don't have a hot water extractor yet, don't worry, you don't need one. The one you're using is similar to the one I use and it does amazing. Here's my tip. I have a large Igloo drink cooler, like you would use to make juice or ice tea, etc. It holds a lot of water. All I do is boil a few large pots of water as I'm getting my equipment out and chemicals mixed. Once it comes to a slow boil, pour it in the large drink cooler and voila, you have steaming hot water. I use it in my Bissel carpet cleaner pro as well as my steam cleaner. It's nice in the steamer too as it takes far less time to charge/ heat.
This might be the single greatest tip I've ever heard! Thanks much!
Very nice video.
Thanks much for watching!
P&S products really WORK! Granted I normally mix my own carpet cleaner (sweet project cars here on RUclips taught me :) but P&S is the best commercially available carpet shampoo and pre treat! For really old stains sweet project cars has a pre treat mixture featuring Oxi Clean max force stain remover. Best I’ve used for that.
Yeah, I really like their products. I've never known anyone to mix their own carpet cleaner. Interesting.
that's amazing
gross
looks great
Weird question. I have a 2020 traverse and for some reason theres a hump in the floor in our 2nd row. Ive cleaned it many times, idk if im just now noticing it or if the hump happened recently . Does your traverse have the hump in the floor also?
Not quite sure what you mean. Is the hump part of the undulations of the floor or is it only part of the carpet? The floor in the second row does have some sloping in it.
I recently purchased the spotclean pro and it came with the black hose which feels cheaper in a sense. It can be squished between your fingers which in my eyes means it can kink. So I messaged Bissell about this and their response was “The new SpotClean's come with a black hose, rather than a clear one. This hose is slightly more durable than the previous clear one. Neither of these should kink.” So yeah make of that what you will. I guess time will tell haha
Yeah, it has held up well so far for me. And it does feel like it has less chance of tearing. The old clear one had such little movement to it that it was bound to break.
Virtually clean wheels, you need to review it with dirty wheels. For the cost here in the UK I thought it was poor.Always need a brush to clean your wheels so in all honesty many cheaper products do a better job.Wear Gloves when using those chemicals
True, it wasn't the dirtiest vehicle. I tested them out on our own vehicle. I don't like testing products on other people's vehicles. (I want to know how they work before I try them for a paying customer.)
There's virtually no wheel cleaner that will totally clean without agitation
@@petersmith7126 Very true.
Greetings Sir from New Zealand! Auto Glym has the Royal Warrant from the late Queen of England and now HRH King Charles. If you find a product with the Royal Warrant-it'll be excellent no matter what. During the war, the late Queen Mother loved Tabasco sauce. When she couldn't get it; she gave them a Royal Warrant-end of story-she got her Tabasco sauce!
Wow! I didn't even know what a Royal Warrant is! I guess I do now. Very cool stuff!
I used this on my bmw leather seats and it has left dark spots everywhere, would you know why that is?
Hmm. Never have had any issues like that. Did you let the cleaner dry on the surface? That's the only issue I have ever heard of with CarPro products. After treating the leather with conditioner, are the dark spots still there?
Check this link out from CarPro regarding natural leather. www.carpro-us.com/interior/carpro-inside-cleaner-concentrate-500ml-17oz/
If I get a gallon of any chemicals can I put it in a other bottle or do I need put Water in too
It depends. Many chemicals can be diluted down to 1 part chemical and so many parts water. Some are 1 part chemical to 1 part water and others can be 1 part chemical and up to 20 parts water. Just have to read their recommendations. I dilute my Xpress cleaner 1 part chemical to 3-4 parts water sometimes for light jobs. My CarPro Inside cleaner I dilute 1 part chemical to 10 parts water most of the time.
I think the color change was an in-camera issue rather than a premiere pro issue. Either way, it looks like the white balance was adjusted. If you have your camera set to auto white balance, it would have adjusted it on its own.
I’m sure you are totally correct. I’m kind of a noob when it comes to camera settings.

@ScrappersDetailing Aw, how awful for you! It must be really painful. I'm sure your lovely family is looking after you. Speedy recovery, Scrapper. Take care.
@@zoebirch8431 oh yeah :)
The old style hose is well known for tearing around the handle. Hopefully, they realized this and fixed the problem with the new hose.
I hope so. The new hose feels so much more forgiving and flexible. Built to last maybe?
@@ScrappersDetailing There's a video with the following title Carpet Cleaner Down! Bissell SpotClean Pro broken hose fix..like new repair! I did this repair and at the end of the video he makes a good suggestion and that is not to store the handle under tension on the spool. That will hopefully prevent excessive stress on the hose/nozzle junction which is where they commonly break.
@Enigma758 That makes total sense! The new hose isn’t under tension coiled up. At least that’s how it feels.
@@ScrappersDetailing Well that's good, maybe Bissell was aware of the problem and fixed it with the new design.
Hey Scrapper! From wash to finish with coating you said 5-6 hours? Greta job, Even a Corolla can look fantastic!
Without polishing, yeah you could probably do it in that time.
Just a little bit of advice. I'm not sure if you do this, but putting in HOT water and then your car soap really helps with making the foam thick but not too thick
Haven’t heard that before. Thanks!
Man I hate cleaning those things. While that one in particular was dirty I've seen ones that you can't tell what color the seats are supposed to be. Mashed up cupcakes and every kind of candy imaginable. Oh and don't forget the hoard of dogs that have to go along on the trip. I worked at a Chevy dealership. We sold a lot of traverses and Acadias. I'm glad they changed the interiors on the next generation of them. No more food packed floor crevices. I would blast carpet foam in there and let it eat for a bit then slurp it out with the shop vac. Give me a caravan any day of the week over a traverse.
Oh man! Smashed cupcakes would not be fun. I haven't seen any of those, but have seen lots of stuck in candies embedded in carpets. Thank God for my steamer to get those out. I really hated cleaning the tracks in those things. Any advice on how to get them "unstuck" and what to use to lubricate them to get them moving freely again?
@@ScrappersDetailing I would say some kind of automotive grease would help. White lithium or bearing grease. Also violence. Ran into a few that the cables that work the seats were stretched out and didn't release the mechanism. I didn't have to mess with it too much because I worked at a dealership so if I couldn't get it working the higher ups would have to decide to fix it or not. So in that way I was Lucky. Had no extractor or steam cleaner. Still managed to clean some truly apocalyptic cars. Also almost never took out seats.
@@I_aint_tellin_deth Wow. No seat removal. I don't have to much anymore on most SUVs. Coupes are a different story. So hard to get under those things. I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee coming today for a full interior. Those things are IMPOSSIBLE to get under the seats because they are not flat. It's a super weird structure they use on their floor.
@@ScrappersDetailing what I can't get to can be blown out with an air tip on a compressor.
@@I_aint_tellin_deth True. This vehicle coming tonight has some pop explode all down the console and under the seat. Will be tough to get that extracted otherwise. Will see here in a couple of hours.
Im currently cleaning a vibe that's in even worse shape, watching this for inspiration
Wow! That is crazy! Hard to believe it’s dirtier than this Vibe. Good luck!
what’d you have in the foaming sprayer?
I used P&S Terminator and Carpet Bomber on the fabrics and P&S Xpress on the plastic trim. Not sure which one exactly you are referring to?
@@ScrappersDetailingwell i saw a regular spray bottle im guessing was the terminator but then i saw the wand you were spraying that left a light foam where you sprayed, was that the carpet bomber?
@@gregorysullivan3387 Correct. That was the Carpet Bomber. My ONLY complaint about Carpet Bomber is that it can foam up quite a bit. I haven't figured out how to keep it from doing that. But it cleans VERY well. And smells great.

Nice first product review. You can't go wrong with Autoglym, they are a very well established brand in the UK and have a multitude of products. I have a few of their products but particularly like their ceramic spray.
Thanks Simon. I’ll give the spray a look. Just have to get it with free shipping or that cost makes it too expensive.
