Go back home to your mom brothers and kids! Any friendship centre or homeless shelter will help you with a bus ticket! Once you get there - get your ID set up via your mom - you will find it easier with family! If you are worried about the methadone - set it up with your doctor/and either get an extra months supply or have the prescription sent to your hometown!

I am a native Vancouverite, the downtown east side is horrible, the “cobalt” hotel is garishly awful, this lady would not be safe there. This is so sad, 5 daughters, she’s 40. She needs her daughters in her life, please daughters reach out and help your mom, she is depressed and traumatized and needs help. This is depression….this is trauma, “by the grace of God go I”.

Thank you very much to the woman interviewing my mom. It’s nice to see a synopsis of my mom’s life. ❤️ I’ve had no choice but to cut her from my life for not only my safety but for my kids as well. But I never stopped loving her.

Hi Shanna, you are so welcome. ❤ My deepest condolences on the passing of your mother. I'm sorry that you were not able to have a good relationship with your own mother and that you were hurt by her (I saw both of your comments). It's completely understandable that you had to keep you and your children at a distance. I'm glad to hear your kids are doing well and that you were able to shed some light on the picture your mom had presented. Thanks for reaching out. Sending you a virtual hug. Blessings on you and your family going forward. 😊🙏❤

I’m sad to announce the passing of my mother on August 26/2024 due to a fentanyl overdose. Please note: several things my mother said are inaccurate or fully not the truth. But with my mom’s level of trauma and addiction she had to believe what she needed to believe in order to cope and survive. I loved my mom, but she hurt me. And due to my mother’s level of sickness I did not trust her around my children - I have three and she never met any of them ( none are in foster care). I had hoped my mom would get better by getting clean and doing the hard work through treatment which had to happen in order to be a safe person to have around my children, unfortunately that never happened. My moms soul is at peace now. And I forgive her.

I just watched your Mom, Barbara’s interview. I watched it twice. This 9 minute look at her life and how she ended up where she was. Her version. Less painful than reality perhaps. I’m sad to hear you lost your Mom yet again without a resolution or a healing and mending of your relationship. Childhood trauma damages a child and if left untreated in a non nurturing and unsupportive environment they can never recover some of the deepest hurts. 🌹❤️🌹❤️

What he says is the truth! If your neew to Canada, as a friend says 'not from here' youll get a bank account, credit card, car loan - take a look at the bus advertisements - youve got it made. Easy life & open your own business, all good for you. Might spend a couple weeks in a shelter that actually expended their building for street youth but now houses 60% short stay shelter for immigrants - supposed to be for youth - not adults with 4 kids under 10 years old! Help OUR people first, how are we assisting the existance of interlopers!!!

Why does this woman 'interviewer' (term used loosely) with a microphone feel the need to jump on youtube with another drug addict/homesless story???. RUclips is flooded with these stories. It started with Soft White Underbelly. The original. Now everyone is jumping on the bandwagon. Suddenly a bunch of you want to make a living interviewing the unfortunate among us. For 'likes' and 'views'. You don't really do anything to help. You're just shameless users. Copy cats of Mark Laita's SWU. Shame on you. Your motive is so transparent. And your interviewing is so amateurish it's cringey.
