Killer banjo.. excellent chop on the dobro.. rhythm guitar and bass are totally in sync.. and fiddle knows when to pull in and out and chop vs. long bow.. Put em all together - and it's Awesome Stuff!! Loved it!

this song was written by Judge Joseph Cornett of Letcher County Kentucky in the late 1800's or early 1900's. I first heard in when the Iron Mountain String Band Performed it on the Jane Fonda movie, THE DOLLMAKER. It is a very captivating song. I performed it at a funeral for a 4 year old boy back in 2000 whose funeral I had to preach. The family was very touched.
