This is one of the first cadences my former jrotc instructor taught us sadly he passed in February and I will forever listen to this and think about the good times with him thank you captain Hernandez we love and miss you
Not army, but when we came back from the Reaper hike and passed the pistol range, we started singing cadence, and this was one of the songs we sang. Felt great to sing after all those weeks of not being able to
Dude fuck yea that was my favorite part of boot camp. I can never describe to someone who wasn’t there what it felt like at that moment. Bravo Co Plt 1022
We had this cadence in my Navy ROTC thought it went something like this. (And ofc repeat after me) “Momma, momma can’t ya see?” “What the navy’s done to me” (Now higher) “Momma, momma can’t ya see?” “What the navy’s done to me” I used to eat a Mickey D’s “ “Now I’m eat’n MREs” (Now higher) “I use to eat at Mickey D’s” “Now I’m eat’n MREs” It’s longer but I don’t feel like typing all that out. I’m sure you get the idea of it now. “I used to drive a Chevrolet” “Now I’m marching everyday”
My JROTC instructor major Steven speas used to sing this cadence to us while we marched in the veterans day parade. I was in the JROTC program at Cholla High-school for 4 years I graduated as a Sargent first class. I went to cholla from 2011 to 2015 I had two instructors major Steven speas and Sargent first class tedy disusa. Major was a retired army ranger and Sargent D was a artilry.
What kind of special classes I had an IEP but if you mean like color gard, rifle team, radors, or honor gard then no I was not I was in bravo my first year, alfa my second, delta my third, and echo my last year I was first platoon Sargent in echo company my designation was SFC Christopher Hayes I was a L.E.T. 4 ( leadership education training level 4) I marched in only three of the veterans day parades because one year I didn't have a uniform at the time of the parade I was a privet my first year, corporal my second, Sargent my third, and staff Sargent but then promoted to a Sargent first class and put in charge of first platoon
@@jordanx539 so looks like I found a little troll who has a problem with respect if you ever even got into the JROTC program I would teach you to respect those placed above you and yes I did finish of as a SFC and my spell check sucks on my phone.

Lots a memories of wet weather, sore feet and high morale
*lol* "Air Force wings [probably aren't made of gold any longer]" 😶
The most used cadence when I was in usaf bmt
He's the best one, thanks. Um, sorry, no gold stars...that's for the general.
A lot of memories listening to these cadences ! RLTW !

same bro, was passing by the "We Make Marines" sign while singing this and it felt unreal
@@Panda-cg9rxListening to this brings back so many memories I remember I cried from the sign till after receiving my ega

This cadence makes to want to become a drill sergeant and sing it
I used to call cadence while spinning the guidon. Loved this one.
I remember this , ft Benning 2003.
I wish I was back on the block, Drinking wine and smoking pot! Sound off.....
I never drove a Cadillac or dated a beauty queen before joining the Army. 9 weeks later I felt like I could pack it on my back... lol
Brings me back to the good ole days of my army days
This we’ll defend

Good times
I can still sing to this. You didn't have to have a voice, just be in sink.
Ugh, did you mean be in "sync"?
@@proudasiangirl576 no, he meant in sink.

I love these cadences because i call cadence whenever we run and it makes it so much easier for the platoon to run!
Sir yes sir ! Sure does ! 5 miles every morning before sunrise requires major motivation
I remember my SDI was singing this on the final stretch of the Crucible
Even Koreans know this cadence if they worked at the US army as KATUSAs. Sometimes I miss that places, songs, barracks, camps, people and time.
Was at Camp Hovey was a hard but a great time. 93-94
k-16 595th maintenance 86-87
nice grammar 😬😩
Camp Casey 97-98
lord of the flies brought me here, and I'm lovin it
SAME LOTF JUST OWNS MY HEART OMLLL IM SO HAPPY I DISCOVERED IT

That's the version I remember. Haha. RUclips versions are more PG13 than the ones you hear in bct.
Now out i still listen to these when I run to keep my pace. Thanks

What company
I’m here rn, they go hard
Is it weird for me to just listen to this song and feel your mood lifted And I never even went to the army
