Dolly transfer to loader for 757 - Ben Landis
Y’all really don’t have anything to keep this ok track?
Do you have to go through new hire training at another city for a week like an American Airlines ramp agent?
Uhh for us at Ontario ramp in SoCal , only the operators can be on the loader while positioning up to the aircraft
Great video
just an FYI for the new guys coming to ramp, when your fingers get caught, theyre not gonna take off the dolly quickly. Theyre gonna wait for the EMT to get there... then the EMTs gonna determine whether or not its safe to take it out cause they dont want you bleeding out. Last time i heard this happening to someone, EMT took 15 min to get there then 15 min to get him out. LONG TIME sitting there looking stupid
We Have The Commanders & The Trepels At My Job But Not The TLDs
The official job title is ramp agent. Apply at any airline or GSA (global shipping authoirty) usually has an office near the airport. Drivers license required no points on your CDL for 3y and a class VI/VII CDT with a good safety record is recommended. TSA / FBI background check required. Starts at 19 for a freight agent, ramp agents usually 21 an hour. With the clean CDL and CDT Class VII it can get up to 36 an hour and time and a half
The k loader driver cant see the marshller downstairs at that angle lol why marshall? Lol
Nice positioning and great camera angle
I worked for Piedmont Hawthorne as an Airline Service Supervisor and Manager from 2000 to 2003 at the Richmond International Airport. We were contracted to load and unload planes and trucks. We had 727s, 757s and DC-8s. My time ended at the airport in March 2003 when UPS decided to end contract work and hired the workers to work directly for UPS. It took about a year for me to find full time employment. I now work for McKesson (going on 19 years), which is the biggest medical distribution company in the US. From transportation to distribution, my career has come full circle. I really do miss being around those jets, especially the 757. That was and will always be my favorite.
I work for Piedmont in Richmond now love it alot has changed been here for almost a year.
Dc-8s. . .ugh.
@@Peeter8exactly! Every night, we had a crank up the APU to get those old engines started.
@@kevlarbing not to mention 4 bellies and 18 single stack topside. My quads would be jacked after the unload.
'Are you ramped-up for safety?'... Nest-up UP5 Shanghai depot... END
Nice work
This made my cock hard.
So....Nice Explanation
Mam any job vacancy is there mam
I am also working👨 in ramp agent in maa station
Any job is there
Shouldn’t be standing on the wings. Literally has a giant warning sign saying not to stand there.
How to join cargo
Only the loader operator should be on the loader while positioning up to the aircraft.
Lol why? They are adults they will be fine
@@xjww8623 I have done exactly that job before. And it's purely a matter of safety. Only the operator should be on the main deck loader while positioning up to the aircraft.
Careful we have a guy who knows UPS policies Lmaoo if they were audited they would get their asses handed to them
Actually at UPS it doesn’t matter. Places like DHL and Amazon care but UPS is very relaxed with safety rules. I’ve worked all 3 places speaking from experience
@@trevorweddington3888 I worked for a private company who loaded freight for Emery WorldWide and the USPS. All 3 were very strict when it came to safety. Especially around aircraft and on concrete ramps. I for one was happy for that. In the 12 years working there, ZERO injuries on the ramp.
Recipe for disaster
NO steel toe boots? The reason he gave in this video makes no sense; you're more likely to have a severed toe without steel toe boots.
every contry is different deppend on a contry you are at.
How to join in cargo any know plz s suggest me
Threw airline or any gsa
ramp agent with an airline or any shipping carrier gsa like primeflight that does loading for az fatass or wallys. They always need hours. hard work good ot though. Don't skip ya ear plugs and take safety zones seriously don't cross that line and if she's flashing wait on her. It's ur life. Tsa background check and driver license required u will need to get SIPD badged and it is a strict driver exam. Highly recommend to go in with ur CDL and ur CDT for forklift and there must be no points on ur CDL / and no safety violations for 3 years on your CDT as loaders is an OSHA PIT cert for class VI/VII. Gl. Is easy to get a clean CDT if you just work home depot / lowes a few years they hand them out free. Them are propane powered so u can say you did 3y class VI on resume. Hr wants see the CDL out at least 3 years with no points, no dui and no unpaid tickets. The final touch is if u do midnight ground you get 1.5x rate and double ot usually during bad weather which is super nice if you don't like sleep and don't mind being a freezy pop 36 an hour base with the right creds. These dudes are making paper. 😅
Didnt raise the elevator to complete the safety zone before extending handrails audit failed. ☠️
Cool vid i love it so much
Fun gig if you love being around planes. I work as an air ramp person as a side gig in one of their major hubs and it's a pretty easy job. So for me, it's not about the money but more for my love of being around the birds. You'll get a good workout pushing and pulling loaded containers but as long as you use common sense and follow safety guidelines, you'll be fine.
That's what I was thinking! I love planes but I don't qualify for majority of jobs that will get you up close with them aside from UPS' ramp shift. Definitely going to be applying for it. Folks seem to really like the ramp shift more than other positions at UPS based on what I've read!
@@alastor4948 yes! you'll learn and get to work all the roles...pushing and pulling containers onto and off the dollies and onto or off the kloader, locking down cans in the planes, marshalling, driving tugs, spotting containers, and if you want to, learn how to operate the k-loader. It's a helluva lot better than working in the warehouse. More prestige.
@@alastor4948 if you want ramp jobs with an airline or something ups is a great way to get baseline experience and SIDA and understand the fundamentals of the ramp like walking around your equipment every time, not to rush when operating equipment, 3 point contact and the one a lot of rampies seem to miss: *watch* where you are going all the time and be aware of everything going on around you. if you have 1-2 years on ups ramp and your resume say you not once had a safety or load incident and you were never late, you're a shoe in for an airline ramp job once they start hiring again. and at some bases you can be a lead before you get seniority and you should absolutely jump at those as it's considered supervisory experience but you're still a teamster. fedex is also good for full time ramp. good luck!
@@jdspreest I got hired and I start training on the 6th! Definitely excited to get started! I'm sure I won't be immediately training up close to an aircraft but I'll be sure as Hell ready to do so when the time comes!
@@brianlacroix822 Yes!!! I got hired at UPS for Ramp and I'm very excited that I'm able to take this job pretty much anywhere if I wanted to in time. I'd definitely be willing to take the skills and work as a ramp agent at any airport. I know I'm going to be anxious the first few days of training but overall I know I'll be a lot happier there than at my current job! Working alongside with family for a family business is ROUGH! Family can really drive you nuts! 😂
How to apply there sir?
Que caca son unos tarado aprendan a hacer vídeos👎🤬
I'm UPSer from SGN Gateway! Nice video of Ramp team! Thanks.
FOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice video ❤️❤️ thank you for uploading
This brought back memories for me.
That gap is big enough for a foot to go through.
You never loaded an airplane before ?
ROC is great. When ever I get a midnight where I get to go to the ramp it's fun. Better than FT or sorting
Can I apply a work there?
That video was a waste of my time watching it! Thanks a lot!
Damn son, your flight leader assigned you the commander & you’ve been stressing huh?
