This girl did not "upstage" Idina Menzel. She was, in fact, somewhat disrespectful, treating Idina's stage as if it were her own. Taking over someone else's stage in such a self-indulgent, over-powering manner is unprofessional. For a lesson in how to demonstrate one's talent while also being deferential to the professional, compare this young woman's behavior to that of Sarah Horne at Kristin Chenoweth's Hollywood Bowl concert. That's how it's done, folks.

I’m late here, but a) Idina nicely invited the one girl onstage. She did not bring her voice into the picture. Had she done so, upstaging would not be mentioned in this title. Idina could have shut that down real quick. b) Little Miss Molly who felt the need to insert herself into the picture should have sat her skinny ass down the moment she heard the other girl sing. She embarrassed herself. I hope she learned her lesson here. C) There ain’t no upstaging Idina, ok? There is no one classier, prettier, or better.
