@MrTaikobo A few things to unpack here. First, pot of duality can be played over morganite but there are some issues, it can be hit with ash, you reveal deck information unnecessarily, and you only add 1 card and cannot special summon that same turn. So there are quite a few drawbacks with it, it's mainly for these reasons that I cut it for my more current builds because I did run it in the past but morganite just outclasses it and morganite cannot be ash blossomed. Second, thrust & talents aren't great in a deck like this. Think about this most of your plays are done during the opponents' turn, which makes sense since this is a trap focused deck. That's the turn your opponent is most likely to interact with you while they build their own board or at least attempt to through your disrupts. It's during this time that thrust and talents would be good to punish your opponent for interacting with you but thrust/talents aren't able to be used during opponents turn. I don't see a deck like this getting lots of value of thrust talents because on your turn you're not doing much other than setting and passing or normal summoning a therezia for example. You don't really give your opponent an opportunity to interact with you during your own turn for the most part which means cards like thrust or talents will usually be dead bricks in your hand. And ash is just okay it's never ending your opponents turn and it plays into their own copies of thrust/talents so i didn't even miss it when i cut it. If you're playing it to make end punisher that's fine but I don't believe that punisher or ash blossom are needed. Again my own opinion though.

@rg03500 i was skeptical about it as well but when I began playtesting it, it turned out even better than i expected! Hasn't left the deck since.

@UnTontoMuyTonto funny you mention it as I literally optimized the list this past weekend. I cut the raiders knight & arc rebellion for a grenosaurus giga & a ty-phon. Also cut dominus purge from the side for 1 ferret flames & 1 trap tracks.

@u.a.perfectace7786 oh yes I saw the support and I literally almost cried when I read the cards lmao we finally have a zombie starter that actually helps us access our engine and isn't just a generic foolish like uni or gozuki.

@sakethparimi7664 The brave eyes is completely optional. You can run the package with just a single crystal clear wing. But if you want the 2nd target there are other options although they're mainly just bodies at that point their effects won't work due to how they're summoned. Brave eyes and crystal wing are the only 2 targets that can use most of their effects when summoned off the traps gy effect. One of the targets that can be used is the predaplant fusion I forget it's name but it's 3600 attack which makes it a huge wall. It's entirely up to you, otherwise like I mentioned above you can just play the crystal clear wing as your only target. The supreme king package is too strong in this deck just to ignore, paying half your LP and getting a free Z-arc is amazing, the rest of the effects on the trap are just a bonus and not solely why the Z-arc package is ran.

Your totally right, I just think that going second in this deck it’s better to play through the end board instead of trying to stop plays. Especially when you’re opponent usually has more gas to keep going anyways and one hand trap isn’t going to make too much of a difference. There are obviously exceptions where hand traps are better. But I don’t think it’s worth main decking them outside of those matchups.

Rex will still float back into more engine and that's assuming I don't have other backrow, imperm, impulse, solemns to stop their push after a Rex is outed. Game is usually still in my favor if they just go bagooska pass. Good advice on the therezia play however. I'll have to try that out myself next time!

@loscar452 face up monster zone is not the main monster zone specifically. Your EMZ is still your monster zone. You can banish the zarc from the EMZ it does not have the be from the MMZ because the trap does not specify as such.

When just open the one of isn't a meme, but legitimate advice. Some people are just on the right side of the bell curve, I guess.

@@s15importFan honestly it's more of a space issue. But also I felt the deck doesn't need it as you're only playing 2 targets for it 1 of which u don't even want to search (diplos) so really you'd just be doing it to add a therezia which is fine but it's usefulness diminishes greatly once you've resolved domain or frenzy more than once or copy their effects with kentregina as you tend to send all your names to the gy leaving nothing for Fossil dig to search by turn 3 or 4 usually which makes it a dead draw imo.

@Nickscruiser yeah but, with only 6 monsters in the main deck i would imagine bricking on only traps and a few spells happens alot

@s15importFan it actually does not. You'd rather have the traps than the monsters. You have to understand domain and frenzy are also access to combo/engine you don't even need therezia when you open those cards. Once you resolve one of them once you'll have all the engine and followup you'll need in the gy. Therezia isn't a bad draw don't get me wrong but at a certain point you'd rather just see traps. And I don't want to see hands that have therezia + Fossil dig because that's bad. The Fossil dig doesn't get any value in those scenarios and you'd wish it was just another trap.

@@s15importFan yea no problem, if you have access to a computer I suggest building this list on any yugioh simulator like edopro or dueling book and run test hands you'll see quickly that the deck draws very well even without fossil dig.

Thanks for the kind words! Yea the deck does well into this format it counters Ryzeal hard. Lanrynth is another sleeper deck this format too! I've heard both ryzeal & maliss have poor matchups into it!

@@Nickscruiser for what i saw. The deck doesnt combo a lot, doesnt need the graveyard that much so shifter isnt a auto win and can recicle a lot too for the grind game

@clockwerk152 well the deck still functions you really just lose the diabellstar ability to bridge into level 1 fires. I think we play the 3rd deception of the sinful Spoils now. There's still good synergy with the package diabellstar herself is still a great discard outlet for the volcanics and a really strong extender. I'll have to think about it some more.

@drdandalf not at all. Just replace OSS with the 3rd copy of deception as I only played 2. Diabellstar no longer bridges into the level 1 fires but there's still plenty of synergy.

@clockwerk152 Yea volcanic plays really well into boards going 2nd. The azamina cards are strong but not needed. As you see in this particular game that engine never even came up. But that horus engine was doing God's work lol.
