Don't like the rear tires. Lots of LO23 Darts on here, and they all have the same looking rear tires. Larger and wider. Car looks wicked.

I had that car with metal Hang Ten Barefoot Pedals and I was a Surfer in Pawleys Island, South Carolina-Myrtle Beach - I loved that car. I cruised Ocean Blvd in it back in the 80's alot in Myrtle Beach, but had it the year it came out. - I had Gordon and Smith Surf Board and tons of hot surfer girls who ride with me up and down the coast.

Truly that is one of the most beautiful cars I've ever seen! And you make a very good point that it is definitely where Dodge got its inspiration for the charger. Thanks for stopping and filming it. Great video buddy.

Plymouth and Dodge swapped body style tooling, Dodge got the Duster body(Demon) and Plymouth got the Dart body(Scamp), Both the Demon and the Scamp just kind of flopped. Had they kept the "Dart GTS" tag for the Demon, I believe it would have been much more popular.

Nice car, i was thirteen in 1971 and my mother went to buy a new Dart and the dealer had a duster and a Demon in the showroom floor. the salesman gave me a Duster and demon promo decals they were cool. i wonted my mother to but the duster but it cost too much for her. good times

During the Muscle Car era, MOPAR was Number 1 and that 426 Hemi was the Biggest reason why!!!!,and if Dodge has any sense they will kill this Electric Car crap,and Start production back up again of the Hemi Gas Powered Challenger and Charger!!!!,and let's bring the Plymouth Divisoon of MOPAR back as well!!!!!!

Another couple features that the race Barracuda and Dart had, were seat belt straps ... instead of heavy window crank mechanisms, to raise and lower the side window glass...and lightweight Corning glass.. also acid dipped rear chrome bumper, a fiberglass front bumper/fenders...all to minimize overall weight. The fiberglass hood with the "Hemi" scoop is iconic, on both models. These lightweight A bodies DOMINATED their respective classes, when they hit dragstrips all over the country in'68! MOPAR or no car!!!

If you do find the manifolds, you may as well have some fun and remove the mufflers before you remove those headers. The pipes still wrap around the back axle, I'm sure that'll quieten it down enough. (always wanted to do that)

Hurtzs bought tons of them in the day. They would sell them at around 60 thousand miles. My dad bought one from them in 71 for 500 dollars. The person who restored it lost a lot of value, not keeping it original.
