I absolutely love it. It sounds futuristic and, in some weird way, hopeless. And that's what makes it so fitting to story where you try to scrape by while avoiding your fate and running pawn shop in dystopia.

Brad, Buddy and Dusty... They all deserved better. LISA is so good at depicting the cycle of aggression it's amazing.
That is basically my opinion no the three of them as well. It sucks to me how so many fans show no sympathy to Buddy. But she was very clearly traumatized by the events of Painful.

Rando/Dusty deserved the Love of Brad, buddy just hate him for trying to protect her.
Buddy was at a bad place he helped her get out of it. It took him dying to start that process fullu. Rando and Brad helped shaped buddy in big ways it'd be wonderful to see the fruit of their efforts in the future.
She didnt hate him for trying to protect her, she hated him for keeping her in a hole trapped for years, barely allowing her to talk to her uncles and forcing her to kill people at a young age. Of course he meant well, but it doesnt mean it was the right thing to do. Not to mention the incredible stress she lives under, constantly having to worry of being assaulted or killed. She has a right to be angry at him and she couldnt have known that he meant well.

the hard part is from buddy's point of view brad was controlling her and restricting her freedom. every story looks different based on who's side you're seeing, brad meant well and cared about her more than anything in the world but her anger isn't unjustified
