I have one question did they start paying you

So how you like it now? I’m in the market for a firm and this shows up in a lot of searches …. Still hate the buttons? Stomach sleeper?

You still sleep on it? Sag at all?

I bought it and regret not returning it when I had the chance. I did everything to make it comfortable wasting a lot of money on extra covers and pillow toppers. It is very firm; and the pillow topper is a misnomer. It is the firmest 'plush' topper I have ever felt. It does not help with pressure points. It's a fine mattress if you have no aches, pains or health problems or like a firm mattress. I don't like the feel of it - takes longer to fall asleep.

Greetings! How is your Avocado mattress holding up now, 3 years later?

September 2022 - we just unboxed and installed our Calif king Avocado brand Green mattress. Thanks to your video, it was easier because you showed the reality of unwinding the multiple layers of exterior plastic. So we were able unwind it same way you did: rotating it back and forth so to speak. We found that preferable to cutting the plastic off which I guess would be another option. It looked like - depending on the size of mattress - you want the open rolled ends facing top and bottom of the mattress and other times facing the width, depending on how it will unfold. The avocado logo, which is the key for orientation, wasn't visible while it was tightly rolled up when you first open the box and may not be until after you've taken off the white plastic. After removing the white plastic, and before you open the inside clear plastic which is semi vacuum packed, it is easy to rotate 90° so that as it expands, it will be oriented the correct way. We were also able to cut all the way down one side of the length of the clear semi vacuum sealed plastic and slide the mattress out of it by slightly lifting it up. We did that purposely so that we could reuse that portion of the packaging for our old mattress, for either transport to a new owner or for disposal. Many cities require mattresses to be in sealed plastic prior to picking them up for disposal. Couldn't really smell much of anything until we put our noses almost touching it, and, as has been described by others, it was kind of an earthy or wool smell but definitely not a chemical or offensive odor. Time will tell how it sleeps but initially feels like it's going to be great. Just for reference we are replacing a very old Tempur-Pedic which was finally losing some of its resiliency but still actually very functional considering its age.

Don't waste your money on their overpriced mattress or adjustable bed frame, you can barely feel the vibrations even on the high setting. An affordable rubber bed brand without the fancy packaging and logo will add savings. If the massage function is your thing, then a better investment would be one of those digitally firmness-controlled mattresses with built-in massagers into the actual bed.

What exact mattress is this? Is it a hybrid?does it have springs in it?

You get what you pay for !! I would rather spend a bit more and get a higher quality mattress and not have problems down the road. A quality mattress should last 8-10 years. Having to supplement the bed with a topper would not be my desire.

Thanks for your review, we just ordered ours. I have a suggestion for you. What if you return your king size topper and purchase two twin size toppers in you and your wife's desired plush or firm feel? Firm for you and plush for her?

I bought a non-green curvy mattress for$500. It works if you are a man and a woman. You can sleep on anything if you don't care. Money is no object.

I purchased a full-sized Winkbed (Luxury Firm), several months ago. I am 5'6" 150 lbs, and, after a month or so, I felt like I could feel the springs pushing back against my shoulder and hips. This wasn't uncomfortable. It was downright painful. They sent me a memory foam topper and, while this DID improve the overall comfort of the mattress, I didn't like it. I returned it, and received every penny back. The thing that I find disturbing is that my initial impression, upon first laying down on the bed, was that it was extremely comfortable. So, now, I feel like I can't even trust my own judgment. Now, I am considering a latex mattress. As a side sleeper, I'm hoping that it will be the answer for me. My old mattress was a standard European pillow-top, medium firm innerspring bed, which I found to be very comfortable...but, alas, the old adage is true: "They don't make `em like they used to." P.S. -- For much of the time that I had my old mattress, I used various feather-bed toppers with it. I just don't care for memory foam.

You're not crazy for feeling the buttons. I felt like the Princess and the Pea at first with those frickin things, but they do smash down after a little while. I can't feel them poking me anymore.

We felt the buttons on day one. My husband and i are not heavy people. A year into it and both our sides are slumped in. Very disappointed with the Avocado mattress. We called them and they said it was the metal frame we use that caused it. I guess it couldn't have been the mattress. They did try and sell us a frame that would abide by the warranty.

Any new updates after your last video on this Avacado mattress?

I would probably not buy this mattress as others make a better mattress. I appreciate the review though.

So helpful, especially watching you having to reorient the mattress, which totally messed up the bed skirt. Ugh... So I learned from your experience and carefully oriented the rolled up mattress on the bed frame before removing the shrink wrap. It all unfolded within an inch of its final resting place. any updates? how has it held up? considering pulling the trigger today on the regular mattress with no topper. i sleep best on my stomach and my current bed just annihilates my lower back unless i position myself oddly..

You can always order a smaller topper for partners who like difference surfaces.

Does it feel like a normal mattress or is it like Nana's couch with the plastic zip covers on it?

I'd be interested in knowing how the mattress is now in 2020. All the reviews on the websites are always five star which is unrealistic. No one ever uses a pillow either in their tests. It's all a crap shoot.

Do you still like it a year in? Is it good for stomach sleeping? Does it have bounce to it? Is it squeaky or noisy when you move on it? Can you feel your partner moving around in it; how's the movement isolation?
