Va! laisse couler mes larmes Charlotte's aria from Werther Jacqueline Bolier, Mezzo-soprano Saule Garcia, piano Music Academy of the West, Santa Barbara, CA
A vocal timbre quite similar to Renee Fleming ...
Que hermosa!
Exquisite!
I've watched this so many times. I can't believe how beautiful it is. She is incredible.
In 2022: “Soprano Jacqueline Bolier has sung in venues and festivals across the country, including the Kennedy Center, Alice Tully Hall, New York City’s Merkin Hall, and with the Portland Symphony, New World Symphony and at the Lakes Area Music Festival. She was a featured soloist for the 40th Annual Kennedy Center Honors, appearing alongside Meryl Streep and Misty Copeland to honor Carmen de Lavallade. During the Covid-19 pandemic, she recorded new works by Georgia Shreve, including the title role of Lavinia. Additional recordings include Miss Julie (Albany Records). Bolier gives back to her community through the Turnaround Arts Institute, a program of the President’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities. Past awards include prizes from the Licia Albanese Foundation, and the Art Song Preservation Society. She received additional training at the Music Academy of the West and is a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music.” April 2022: Steven Mercurio conducts April world premiere of"Courageous Women Of Antiquity"at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center, Multi-media, semi-staged concert features two new works by composer Georgia Shreve with soloists: soprano Wendy Bryn Harmer, tenor Richard Troxell, bass Matthew Anchel, baritone Ben Edquist, mezzo-soprano Sofia Selowsky, tenor Alexander McKissick, mezzo-soprano Jacqueline Bolier, and soprano Larisa Martinez
Sure on this shining night Of star made shadows round, Kindness must watch for me This side the ground. The late year lies down the north. All is healed, All is health. High summer holds the earth. Hearts all whole. Sure on this shining night I weep for wonder wand'ring far alone Of shadows on the stars.
Absolutely gorgeous. Thank you!
For those who think US is only rap… we need more of this in US thought. Beautiful, music and performance.
Today is March 11, 2022. Thank you.
Gorgeous voice
I love their performance of this piece better than any I've heard. Such heartfelt expression and rich mezzo tone! Where are you now, Jacqueline Bolier?
I agree. She captures the pathos and her singing is so even
Incredible! I love this performance and this piece! You brought tears to my eyes!
I am a shadow
Wow! MAJOR voice!! And technically and vocally very solid and secure. The artistry and subtle textual insights don't yet match the phenomenal instrument, hopefully they will come with maturity and experience.
goosebumps ✨✨✨✨
Gorgeous mezzo voice and beautiful interpretation. What a delight!
Magnificent!
This is a recital piece of mine from 30 years ago. Hearing your performance stirred me to my soul and brought back so many memories. The texture of you voice, the emotions the interpretation of the lyric stirs within the listener reach a new level. What are you doing now? Where do you perform?
Oh my god, this was absolutely ethereal. ❤️
gorgeous mezzo
Beautiful in voice and interpretation nothing more to be said
I have chills!!!
Wow- this is gorgeous & your voice is so moving! Thank you!
Who is your voice teacher?!
And where are you?? This really inspires me.
Wow. Wow,wow, wow Divine. Absolutely, divine 💙🌌
I've never heard it sung like this. Never. Cantabile. Molto espressivo. With such heart. So genuine. No sense of performance. You were the words and the music. Your phrasing, your breathing. Virtuosity without any showiness. None. Full voice but exquisitely intimate. As though you were singing to each listener. You sang this in 2013? It's 2019. I have to see what's happened to you. Your accompanist was wonderful. I would like to have played it instead. Thank you. You have a great gift.
Beautiful song! Barber creates an atmosphere through the plaintive melody and harmonies very American . Has a soaring quality extremely expressive. Similar to his treatment in Knoxville.
Wish I had more line. Good tone needs more crisp on words
Your ability to convey what it "means" is wonderful. Your pianist was also excellent.
her voice is simply beautiful. Trying hard to get where she is someday
wow really similar to Fleming in timbre !!
That's what we told her 20 years ago. Was that right?
@@kimakotrotman6860 KIMAKO!!!!! Omg!!!!!
This was awesome! Great expression
Very expressive, warm timbre and excellent phrasing. Lovely! (Pianist was good too.)
such a beautiful voice, and expressive interpretation!
Thank you so much for sharing your rich and luscious voice with us. This is the best version of this piece I have so far found on RUclips.
LOVELT LOVELY LOVELY! The attacks of the phrases are PERFECT. You are NOT a soprano. Do NOT let people tell you otherwise.
Exquisite! Warm, deep...haunting.
Beautiful. Brava!
Absolutely beautiful, rich voice

Exceptional, exquisite! How many times have i returned to this video to hear Jacqueline Bolier?
Wow - kind of hard to breath watching this - you are SO captivating!!!
What a gorgeous, rich voice and beautiful collaboration.
You are extraordinary! What a stunning voice! WOW
Coming from the queen 👑 I’m humbled ❤️

The most heart felt performance of all of those I've found on youtube so far. I shall follow your lead in studying this song. Thank you for sharing it, JAcqueline. It's gorgeous.

Beautiful singing! Really liked it!
Well done! You brought such depth of feeling to this lovely song.
Wow! Lovely!
Gorgeous!!! I sang this for years, back in the day. Is this original key?
G major is the original key! This is B flat major
Gorge!
I love this presentation. So beautiful...and you have a passionate piano player too! Very nice.
