My name is Angela and I too turned towards RUclips back in 2020 to learn macrame. My plant addiction got the best of me, and before I knew it my house was COVERED in plants. I always loved the macrame style and wanted to teach myself how to macrame plant hangers. Little did I know I would fall in love with macrame, open up my own Etsy shop, and turn to TikTok to help teach others as well as grow my business. I love teaching others so here I am! Macrame Market Bag tutorial with your option of fringe or not!
Grab your supplies and let's make this easy beginner friendly macrame market bag! The perfect little bag to store your water, book, and some fruit! When your bag is finished you can choose to enjoy it with the fringe at the bottom, or flip your bag inside out and have the fringe on the inside of the bag. Have fun creating your bag and I hope you enjoy!
Supplies used is a 3mm cotton macrame cord from @nooktheory6643
and (2) 6 inch wooden/bamboo rings used for the handles.
Scissors and a tape measure.
*Please remember when tying the bottom knots to make sure you are really tightening the knots to really secure the bottom of the bag.

Hey there. You will need 12 cords cut at 43 inches. These are to work with. And one cord at 22 inches (gathering knot) and one cord at 36 inches (constrictor knot or hanging cord) i hope this helps

These are so simple to make. I love that people are actually paying for them😂 I use to make them with my macrame offcuts because I don’t like waste.
They are easy, and scrap cord is the best to use for them :) I also teach how to make them as well. But for someone who may not have the time or would like to support a small business, it’s so wonderful!

I didn't even measure with this one. It was more so me starting and seeing where something took me. I can suggest cutting your cord around 5 times the length you want each section to be though.
