Great reaction again.🦊I've seen them in London 4 times, the 3 headline shows were among the best I've been to (possibly the best - the other was really good too, but they were the support and did a shorter set) and I saw some of the recognised great live bands in their prime. The DragonForce similarity was not a coincidence. Herman Li and Sam Totman from DragonForce did the guitar arrangements for this song (it is the only one they were involved in) and recorded the guitars for the album version. They even played it together at an awards show in London later that year. This video was from January 2015 at the Saitama Super Arena. Su-metal was 17, Yuimetal and Moametal only 15 and that was over 20,000 people completely under their control. Even at that age Su just looks at the crowd, spreads her arms and the crowd opens up for a wall of death (actually several walls of death at that concert as the crowd were in sections. A journalist up in the balcony that night said he counted, I think it was, 21 mosh pits). This was also the end of a 90 minute concert - they had been keeping that same energy up without any drop in quality for the whole time. It is what they do - they appreciate people have often paid a lot of money and travelled a long way to see them, they never give anything less than 100% for every song at every concert, whether that is one of their big arena concerts in Japan or at the many various sized venues as they tour the world. About the song itself - 'Road of Resistance' is a very positive song, it isn't the usual "resist the machine or the system etc" that we might expect from the title. It is about forging your own road even where a road doesn't already exist, not necessarily going the easy way (ie the path of least resistance) or following the path already made by somebody else, so if the way you want to go has never been trodden you may have to get past the resistance of the undergrowth, obstacles, hurdles and things blocking your way etc to find your own way. It could easily be used to describe BABYMETAL's own story - they could have followed the well trodden path of J-Pop and been very successful, but they chose to go with Metal ... but again they didn't just follow the same old format of every other metal band, they have done it their own way and it hasn't always been an easy road to follow.

A technical suggestion, if I may: when you pause, go back about five or ten seconds before resuming, that way you regain the flow of the song. You may or may not know that if you tap your keyboard space bar once it will pause the video, another tap will resume play. Also, if you tap the left arrow key once, it will rewind the video five seconds (a second tap for another five seconds), and tapping the right arrow key will advance the video five seconds. "Road Of Resistance" is a power/speed metal song, it's one of their most epic anthems and the album version got the guitar arrangements made by Sam Totman and Herman Li from DragonForce. It's all about facing your own path without looking back. This was part of the Trilogy Of 2015, live at New Year Fox Festival - Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, by this time their fame was already high due to viral success on YT of Gimme Chocolate! MV, people from all over the world attended this live concert in Japan, and 20K souls witnessed this epic moment. With only 15 and 17 years old this moment will be forever remember when they're performing this song to reminds them all the support they got from their fans no matter where they go, either a small or big stages. The Kami Band here are real and magnificent set of elite musicians, they were sent to help the girls with the metal sound, they rotate so probably you won't see some of them in all live concerts (especially the guitarists). They are: - Leda Cygnus, god of guitar, he's the only Kami Band member who's credited as a session musician when recording some albums. - Takayoshi Ohmura, god of guitar, he's Míkio' Fujioka's pupil (another beloved Kami Band guitarist who sadly passed away) and a prodigy child, you'll see his recognizable pink guitar. - BOH, god of bass, he's the bald one and not only got amazing talent but his fun way to enjoy reminds me Flea from RHCP. - Hideki Aoyama, god of drums, comes from a family of expert drummers, and his father was very famous in Japanese music scene. At the end of their shows they always said "We are BabyMetal!" with the crowd, to make them sure that they're part of this show and project too, is a line borrowed from X-Japan saying it at live concerts too. Next suggestion to enjoy another SuMetal solo along with a Kami Band intro: - Rondo Of Nightmare with Mischief Of Metal Gods Intro live at Budokan 2014. Welcome back to Babymetal! This song was definitely made in Dragonforce's style, since Herman Li and Sam Totman played the guitar parts for the studio recording. They've been a fan of Babymetal since before they blew up. This song has been a staple show closer for almost a decade now around the world. Su-metal said in an interview last year that while they see many different types of response to other songs around the world, this song always invoke the same vibe and energy from crowds around the globe, and truly embodies what Babymetal live shows are all about. I'll be seeing them live in Nov in the US, can't wait! 🤘🦊

This footage is from the concert "New Year Fox Festival", held on January 2015 at the Saitama Super Arena (SSA) with a sold out crowd of 20.000+ people. It was the final encore of the show. Just imagine 90+ minutes of concert entirely performed with this level of energy. It's just epic. For this video, they decided to keep the actual live audio, just cutting short the majority of the "We are?? BABYMETAL" extensive outro. Yes, I've been to several BABYMETAL shows: opening for others, headlining in smaller venues on tour and also in arena-sized shows in Japan. And it was amazing every single time and quite an experience. Honestly, I can't imagine anyone hating the experience of attending one of their shows. 🤘🦊

Thank you for this. I quit worrying about if it will be good or not. After close to 200 songs including his bands, collabs etc I figured he is a perfectionist and he won't upload it if he doesn't like it. His live streams are damn near perfect. Playing on the streets for years has perfected his craft, he only gets better.
