I've always liked the class 56's. I remember seeing them in the late 1970's & early 1980's as they entered service. Would see them on the Didcot bound MGR services taking over from 47's or pairs of 20's.

I can't wait till the Cavalex Class 60's are released. Have pre-ordered the Loadhaul and Coal Sector Class 60's.

The Load Haul livery really suits the class 56 ... I`d better start saving the pension for that one ..

This Cavalex Model has this famous woom, woom, woom sound from the real Class 56 in it. Best sounding loco i ever heard.

Also don't like the packaging and cradle thing.

Not received my Cavalex 56 but is on it way and should be here this week from Rails. I have 6 Hornby 56's and would arguably say IMO that it is the best diesel model they produce closely followed by their class 60. Question I have is which is the better model? Sounds like they both have pros and cons. Issue I have with Hornby is the limited liveries . Colas livery is IMO is likely to be a popular one but don't recall Hornby doing one in this livery.

Not another one, let's just stick with Hornby. This is getting out of hand, no wonder the hobby's going down the pan.

This has to be the best sounding Class 56model in OO gauge I have ever heard.

Got my Colas 56049 with sound today and waiting for my DCR 56091 and yes it is a top notch model up there with Accurascale, the sound of this 56 is absolutely superb. Couple of things I don't like as follows; 1. Cab lights don't switch off after the loco moves off. 2. Doesn't have all-wheel drive, yes I know there are pro's & con's but all the top manufacturers have all-wheel drive loco's especially with the weight of the loco. 3. Doesn't have light up dials in the cab like the Accurascale loco's, yes I do like them. 4. Not a fan of the loco being screwed onto a stand without any protection within the box, loco should have been covered by film at least and not bare under the foam inserts plus unscrewing the loco from the stand will bring accidents if you're not careful. 5. Sound function sheet should be like Accurascale's printed on card and bigger instead on a small piece of paper. Love the model but I wouldn't go as far as it being a game changer as some have said on forums, I think Accurascale still leads the way in that department. Cheers Steve.

Could you please tell me the length of your end to end layout?

Your end to end layout looks very realistic than the unnatural oval layouts with too many bridges, sharp gradients, sudden change in landscapes - from city side to mountain, industries, grasslands, etc,.. laid on a table with sharp curves. I take your layout as an example for my future plans. ❤

Beautiful❤❤ What is the diameter of wheel of passenger car? Wheels and flange look realistic.. ❤ Is Lima ICE 1 flange depth slightly less than that of roco or marklin ICE 1? Please give your reply to these questions.
