How to reverse sear a ribeye steak with the camp oven and stove! Blackdown Tablelands National Park
Another Father and son trip ticked off the list! The Blackdown Tablelands has always been on our list of places to check out and it definitely did not disappoint! unfortunately we had very little time to explore here so we will definitely be going back to check out more! In this video we reverse seared a bone in ribeye fillet using the camp oven!, reviewed some of the new gear from @oxoaustralia4184 outdoor range and checked out the famous rainbow-falls and rock pools. We 100% would recommend doing this trip! the sights are incredible. Also while you're there why not give this meal crack! its simple and taste great!
Thanks for watching!

Camp to Kitchen on Stradbroke island 2024 (Cooking on the new Ziegler & Brown Elite Twin Grill)
Please provide some basics on clearing after use, first-time seasoning, and effectively cooking sausages. Thank you
@uchitluktuke5304 I should point out that we are not currently in any partnership or collaboration with Zeigler and Brown, so any advice given here is purely my own and should, in no way, be considered as advice given by, or on behalf of, the manufacturer. Before using for the first time, I washed the grill plates and flat plate down in warm soapy water, rinsed in clean fresh water and placed them back on the bbq on a low heat to dry. I also wrap the catch tray (underneath) in aluminium foil. After use, I will turn both burners to full and close the lid getting the internal temps up to about 330 degree C and do about a 30minute burn off. When it cools, I will brush the grill plates then wipe the body of the bbq out with Selly's bbq wipes. If I use the flat plate, I will wash in warm soapy water, return to low heat to dry. Again, this is what I do and may differ from the instructions provided with the product. I really hope this helps and would absolutely recommend these bbqs. Happy cooking. Cheers Brow
Would you have an opinion of the similar three burner elite, which is about $100 dearer. Good buy for first BBQ and family of 4 to 6. Please guude Thanks
@uchitluktuke5304 my guess is that the three burner would be every bit as good as the 2 and would be perfectly suitable as a family 'home' bbq . I haven't looked to far into the triple burner but would also imagine that it would provide even more versatility than the 2 burner. We specifically went for the Elite Twin as we wanted a portable, 2 burner bbq (with independent burners) that we could take with us on our adventures. For that reason, I also chose not to purchase the matching cart. Nearly 8 months on and I still believe this is the best gas bbq I have ever owned. Thanks for watching our review. Cheers Brow
Awesome episode lads! Definitely going to try this in the camp oven next trip. I did beef shirt ribs in the camp oven the other weekend, was amazing. Would love to see your take on some beef shorties! Cheers.
Cheers @wadeos35. I am experimenting with a new rub recipe today in the Kamado. If this goes alright, I’ll give them a crack in the camp oven and put a post up with the rub recipe. Thanks for your support. Cheers Brow

Posting this Friday at 5pm! Was meant to be in the description but it didn’t load haha I’ll change that now. Cheers!
Where are you getting your recipes from
Hey Terry! Not getting recipes from anywhere, these are just ideas we have come up with over the years through trial and error.
@@CamptoKitchenI think they might mean where are you buying your pizza bases from
Loved your review. Im deciding on buying one of these too. Question. Today I trialed what you did on my ziggy twin but I burnt the bottom of the pizza on my ziggy 30cm pizza stone. I only managed to get it up to a max of 250C, over 30 min, before I put the pizza in. I’m assuming it was black because the heat close to the flame was hotter than the top. Should I have turned the flames down to low after putting the pizza on the stone? I didn’t, and burn’t the base of the pizza on the stone. It was black and couldn’t eat the bottom. I used a wholemeal thin and crispy Tip Top pizza base from Coles.
G’day Chris. Can I ask if you preheated your stone? I always do and I will sprinkle a little flour over it before I put the pizza on it. I am able to get the Elite Twin Grill to nearly 300 degrees Celsius. At that heat, my pizzas cook in under 10minutes. I wouldn’t recommend dropping your heat once the pizza goes in. The beauty of the Elite Twin is that there is quite a good gap between the flame tube and the grill plates which I think helps a lot. From what I can see, your burners look to be a lot closer to the grill, which may account for the high heat burning your bases. I wonder if you could use something to lift your stone a little higher off the grill plates??? Perhaps invert a small baking tray on your grill then place your stone on that? If you like crispy bases (which we do) , don’t be afraid to try pita bread too. I have used them before with good results. It’s all a bit of trial and error. I can assure I have absolutely burned (and undercooked) my fair share of pizzas. Best of luck mate. Let us know how you go and if any of these tips help. And thanks again for your support. Keep on cookin’ mate. Cheers Brow and Chicko.
Good morning Brow Yes I preheated the stone when I fired the bbq up i put it in at the start. I’m guessing you’re right. Too close to the burners. I’ll do what you suggested today and put the stone under a pan to raise it up a bit and sprinkle some flour on the stone just before i put the pizza on, Will let you know how I go.
@@chrisgibsoneventmanagement how did you go with your pizza's?

Just walk
Looks so so so good
Great overview of the product… I getting the elite 3 burner soon. Looks far superior to the similar Weber alternative. There wasn’t much product info on this elite series bbq so your overview confirmed what I suspected in terms of grill shape (far better than the ‘oval-type’ design of other bbqs and gives much more functionality / usable cooking surface?
Thankyou! Glad we could help! Yes definitely more usable cooking surface, we just spent the afternoon over the beach and made pizzas in it and it worked even better than we thought it would!
Looks delicious. 😋
Thank you 😋
Definitely taking after your old man with those cooking skills Nephew
Good work guys - liking the content so far. Maybe have a bit more scenery.... just a thought.
Thanks for the feedback Gavin! will definitely look to do that for the next videos! Cheers.
