One of our club members brought in his O gauge class 55 Deltic loco in BR green with working fans, sound and smoke generator. A couple of clips didn’t make the cut so he’s a selection put together.

Part of the preparations involve opening a blowdown valve that allows particles to move from the boiler. This is what is being done in this case. Once the water level reaches a certain point the fireman will sound the whistle to stop the process. Using the lines line-side footpaths, nearby fields and station. I recorded many movements of steam locomotives during the Giants of steam event at the Bluebell Rly in East Sussex. The weather was great which helped with some of the locations used. With two visitors and the home fleet it was well attended.

257 Squadron on loan to the K&ESR was on this day seen at Rolvenden hauling the 1st passenger service of the day. Just seen out of shot is swiftsure waiting for permission to proceed towards Tenterden. My apologises if you hear other volunteers shouting out as the train passes, I have no control over them lol.

On loan to the K&ESR is 257 Squadron. The loco is seen leaving Rolvenden station after being lit up and cleaned.

On this day 34046 Braunton was hauling a steam service via some Kent routes to Canterbury west where it terminated. Whilst at the station the loco was serviced before leaving to run via Minster and Dover Priory. Me and my son are at Tonbridge when it went through.

@TheKesr Loco No: 25 is seen arriving in Tenterden station after completing the climb up from Rolvenden. The loco named Northiam is hauling the lunchtime Wealden Pullman service which starts and finishes at Northiam station.

On loan to the K&ESR from the Spa Valley is Loco 257 Squadron 34072, it's seen leaving Rolvenden station round the curve before starting the climb towards Tenterden. Enjoy.
