@@Nelson-rh7og Because being under arms is one of the reasons a Marine can be covered indoors. That is the first time I have ever seen a groom under arms.
It was an honor and a privilege to hold a sword for an Army wedding. As a captain, I respected our major/leader. No one yelled until after the ceremony. Good manners were once in vogue. I feel sorry for the morons who made stupid, uncalled for comments on this page. Perhaps if they returned to school and made it past the third grade their vocabulary might improve.
People always trying to grab attention and bring little meaning into their otherwise meaningless lives... I was invited to my son's school to do a veteran's day celebration. I'll be wearing my usmc dress blues and as an nco I'll be carrying my sword. I like to bring attention to our vets whenever possible. People forget our brothers and sisters are still fighting and dying.
+Jackie Campostrini Honestly, it's not ignorance. When guests, even with good intentions, draw attention away from the people actually getting married, that's not good and generally pisses brides (and grooms) off. It's not about the guys with the weapons, it's about the couple.
TheYasmineFlower you must not have read the comment I was replying to, as it had nothing to do with drawing attention from the bride and groom. And I'm sure she wasn't pissed about the saber arch considering its honoring the newlyweds and a traditional Marine Corps wedding is optional, they planned and wanted it that way.
NCO calling orders sounds English at times !
Marines Yes
And how i want to have one.....
Traditionally, a wedding is the bride's big day. This makes it all about the groom.....
This is the wedding i've wanted, not too fancy like other wedding around

USMC Tradition executed perfectly!
Military tradition, not specifically USMC!
They did this at my cousin’s wedding. It was pretty cool to watch.
♥️
Feels weird to me I was expecting a casket to be carried out of the Church. May they be blessed though
Blessings and Wishlist
Loved it.
A smack on the ass with a sword so you know it's not just a dream.

Tradition says last sword smacks bride in the butt.
Very nice.

Nice one. Another lovely couple. I wonder do the groom get day off or few days off?

LOL. They swatted him on the behind with a sword instead of her.
Just wondering. Why didn’t the groom have his cover on, he had a sword?
Ashton Shaw what does that have to do with any thing?

The crowd should have been yelling the whole time as if they weren't their. Too bad they were intimidated.
