[updated 9/9/2024] This is a follow-up video since I’ve posted criteria or requirements of the new MM2H long-term visa program in Malaysia. This can be an investment or immigration visa, for family and self as the main applicant.
The application is still yet to open at the time I’m posting this RUclips Video. In this video, I discussed only details on one of the four different type of MM2H visa, which is the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone and Special Financial Zone (SEZ/SFZ) MM2H category.
If you find any conflicting or misleading information within his video, please do reach out (or share your comments) to help me and others too!

Please help. When I tried to submit my application through the VEP webpage initially, it was rejected because it requires the front and back of my IC to be on the same file. I have edited and re-submit. This time it does not allow me to submit and a new error message appeared indicating my TnG eCard is not linked to the VEP. I have my TnG account setup some time back and all the details are the same as the VEP application. I have recently received the TnG enhanced card. What am I missing this time? Do I need to apply and pay for the RFID as well in the TnG app before re-submitting? It is weird this error did not appear during my first submission, but only now when I tried to re-submit with my IC details.
@@jewler If u can speak to them on this unique situation I’d suggest to try cos there’s really not much option available on the portal
@@MY8xplorer Do you mean I should head to the Woodlands office to ask? I have sent an email to TCSENS helpdesk but no response so far.
@@jewler You can try and phone them. I did that previously with an error relating to IC, and they was able to advice through the phone. Don’t go to TCSENS cos they don’t accept walk-ins
Basically the purpose of the VEP is to ensure that the Msian authorities can trace you and make you accountable for any offences in Msia. But why ask for so much information plus must have eWallet and RGID? A TnG card will do.
This is very similar if not the same like the SG version of VEP on foreign vehicles entering Singapore. Also same set of docs are required and the renewal isn’t 5 years but it’s yearly basis instead
cant register as the car had another person registered before. now im stuck..anyone have this issue and what did u do
Suggest to try and phone the VEP cos there’s no other option for now

@@user-xg2yg2vf1s you should be able to register a new vehicle using the online portal.. For old/scrapped, can try the “deactivate” option using email provided n submit required docs. P/S: this method is not tested but it seems to be the only way for now
Just to share, my renewal first got rejected after more than a month of waiting and the reason given was insurance is near expiring (though it was newly renewed fr aug 2024 to aug 2025). I resubmitted with exact same documents and they got approved. Now waiting for postage. So crappy!
That’s a mistake surely :)
Agent fees too high
It's not cheap indeed but the MYR40k (approx USD8.5k) rather than looking at it as a fixed charges, it's the ceiling fee that agents are allowed to charge. And in exchange for a long-term residency for self and family, I think you're in better position to weigh the value of it :)
What are the application requirements for sez and sfz?
I made a video for the requirements if you have time, here's the link: ruclips.net/video/jwuW6j5KlOU/видео.htmlsi=WknfC4uMNg_diox-

Chances are, the previous owner might see the same error message as yours too. A phone call to their support should help solve this issue. need a little bit of patience when trying to reach them :)

@@cheeheifoo9282 thanks! that means a lot :) Things do change quickly.. thus, pls note that I explained the tag fitment should be on the windscreen, which is now a wrong info. If u follow the new instruction from VEP, they now state that it should be pasted on the headlamp 👌🏼
BTW, tell your users about Innox. They charge $138 and do application and installation

My application for Motorcycle has been rejected more than 6 times
Updates! There’s ppl got rejected after pasting the tag on windscreen. There’s also ppl who said they had TCSENS assistance which they also had the tags pasted on the windscreen but internally. The information gotten is contradicting. To be safe, follow the instructions you receive ie to paste on headlamp, or have it done by TCSENS (self collect) if you’re unsure.

Please advise. 15 k monthly salary ia good for KL? To move family I will bring wife, daughter and parents after 6 months.
@@NapsterQJA 15k in which currency?
@@MY8xplorer MYR
15k is good salary to have. Whether it’s enough or not, it depends on individuals lifestyle. Some family live with 5k, 6k or less. Or more. Consider this for the number of dependents you have and in KL, 3.5k rental, 500 utilities, 2k groceries, 1k if your daughter is going kindergarten/preschool, parking is considered expensive in KL if you drive to work (around 300/m), car is especially useful if you have a family so set aside at least 300/m on petrol. Eating out at foodcourt per meal could cost minimally RM60 per family or RM250 at a restaurant (conservative calculation). These cost varies between locations. Gone will be at least a month salary to the income tax for your income level. Hope that helps on strategising your plan.
@@MY8xplorer thank you so much for detailed response. Yes this 15k is taxable as well first 6 months high tax, when tax will be normalize i will bring family then so manage things easily. My daughter will goto grade 1, in have planned budget 2k myr monthly school fees is it ok? For international school?
@@NapsterQJA it should be harder to find with that budget but there’s option around that fee :) all the best 👍🏼
May I ask if my VEP expiring in Dec this year, do I need to deregister and then apply again to renew? because there is no "renew" option in the VEP portal. Thanks
check reply in your first comment :)
My VEP done in 2019 expiring in Dec this year. What are the steps to 'renew' my VEP because there is no "renew" option/button in the website. I read from somewhere to 'renew' we have to deregister and apply again? Thanks
I doubt deregistering can be done through the portal "I know the button's there". I was helping a family in the same situation, I called the VEP support to help and they had a password reset link sent to me, which allows me to login vepams.jpj.gov.my/ which is where you can update your particulars and make application. Things do change quickly so check when your renewal period arrives.

I heard you said must paste it outside of the windscreen due to reflection or glaring on the windscreen, isn’t RFID radio frequency identification and shouldn’t it matter? I think pasting inside is a better way to protect it from vandalism. Would you be able to advise?
@@lonkokhoong693 not sure about vandalism. It’s only recommended that way based on my personal experience. It’s also worth mentioning that, there’s people who claimed they received tag via courier and the new instructions stated that the tag should be on headlamp. This is unverified info but check the info if you have it in hand.
Yes. The instruction received via mail and also the youtube link given only show fitting on the headlamp. It's true that some people might vandalise it as it is exposed outside. Is it a violation to paste inside?
ruclips.net/video/BCnUX8Y5MBo/видео.htmlfeature=shared
I did my VEP tag at the Danga bay office and they paste it for me inside the windscreen. They did a test using a scanner and confirm it is working fine.
@@JussPerfect not a violation. In fact the staff had mine done inside the windscreen in the past. I supposed it doesn’t matter as long as the reader can find your tag while you drive past the gantry.
Can one member of the family stay 90 days and, by doing so, satisfy the requirement of the remaining members? For example, my wife and the children, but not me.
That’s possible, the 90 days of stay in MY could be combined by either of your family members. Meaning that you as the main applicant don’t have to stay for the full 90 days. But it should not be 0 day either as what I understand. Do consult relevant agent for better clarity
I received jpj's vep tag renewal confirmation slip following my application for renewal of my vep tag issued in 2019. There was no other instructions given, eg when to collect the new vep tag, etc. TCSens-JB rejected me when I went to their office in early July to collect the new vep tag. I am confused and lost, dunno what should I do. Any advice please. Thk you.
If I understand correctly, the confirmation slip you received after you submitted your renewal application, is meant for “acknowledgment” of your submission. You should be given an approval which will take you to next step and make a payment. Try and see if you are able to login to vepams.jpj.gov.my/ep-portal-fe/#/ep-portal-fe/login and see if there’s any pending steps. Otherwise, It will be good to give vep a call to enquire about your situation.
I submitt
I receive my VEP rfid via courier service. But the instructions stated to paste it on the left headlamp. Is there any issue if i paste on my left windscreen and submit a photo for acknowledgement? Will it be rejected?
@@hafizss1 it looks like they have updated how the tag should be pasted. i would just follow what the instruction is suggesting to avoid any issues later
Only paste on the left side headlamp. No other place.

Hi, can you open a business on silver visa? Some say you need to apply and some say you cannot.
with the silver visa you'll still be required to apply for relevant passes for employment purposes. Do note, depending on the nature and scale - "investing in a business" in Malaysia is generally open to both locals and foreigner. For clarity, do try and consult MM2H agency :)
@@MY8xplorer excellent reply, thank you.
I have issue doing submissions for TCSENS, say that my TnG is inactive.. email VEP, TCSENS & TnG.. it has been few months since Feb.. All departments are like ping pong each other.
Looks like an issue coming from TnG. Based on what I heard, chances are, the ID used to register with TnG eWallet could be the reason it can’t be linked with the VEP. Check if NRIC was used as your TnG eWallet identification. I have a “pinned” comment under this video explaining the steps I learned after speaking with VEP’s staff. Alternatively, try and contact TnG.

hi, thanks for the video. is your RFID sticker on the inside or outside of the car windscreen? some says need to stick on the outside, but some say can stick from the inside..
@@leog4571 thanks for your message. For better readability, it should be pasted from the outside. If you stick inside of your screen, glares or car tinted film on your windscreen could “hid” your tag from the RFID readers for quite a bit.

P/S: You need not do the linkage manually. The VEP-TnG linkage is done automatically after you have validated, acknowledged, and have uploaded (on vepams.jpj.gov.my) a photo showing your car number plate with RFID tag that’s pasted on your headlamp/windscreen. Current waiting time is taking at least one week or more.. To add, at the point of your initial application submission, you should already have your TnG eWallet account registered using your NRIC + Phone number (SG NRIC for Singaporeans or MY NRIC for Malaysians). For phone number, either SG / MY will works fine. In case anyone have already used your Passport instead of NRIC, suggest that you contact TnG to make amendment that’ll allow the VEP-TNG linkage later.
@@MY8xplorer my issue is I link my TnG in 2019 for my 1st car. After deregistered, I reapplied again, this problem surface.. and JPJ side keep ping pong here and there. TnG confirm my linkage passport with NRIC
