Bittersweet Symphony - Drum Tutorial - Learn how to play the main Groove
In this lesson I show you how to play the two main grooves from Bittersweet Symphony by the Verve. Probably, a not so famous song to play on the drums and I don't really know why. The reason why I picked that grooves is that it has some special notes in the groove.
In the groove the drummer play three snares after each other. That is not so common if you ask me. At least I can't come up with any other song having such a combination. Maybe you know one? Let me know in the comments.

Come Together Drum Tutorial - Learn how to play one of the most famous Beatles Grooves
Просмотров 9162 года назад
In this lesson we learn Come Together on the Drums. Probably, if you play that groove in front of some Beatles fans they will directly recognise which song it is. Some grooves out of the Song Come Together by the Beatles are a bit unusual in my opinion. One of the reasons is that Ringo Starr plays as a left handed drummer on a right handed kit. You will see in that lesson what that means in ter...
Under Pressure Drum Tutorial - How to play Under Pressure by Queen on the Drums?
Просмотров 6 тыс.2 года назад
In this video I will show you the most important grooves from the song under pressure by Queen. First I show you the intro from the song and also the transition to the verse. In the verse I will show you why Roger Taylors Grooves have such a unique style. I would even say if you hear a groove played by Mr. Taylor you will most probably recognise it. What is your favourite Queen Song?

Warm Ups on the Drums for Beginners 🥵
Просмотров 2703 года назад
#drumwarmups #warmups #drums Warm Ups ... you have them in Sports but do you need it at the drumset too? I would say yes. Warming up on the drumset is quite important. Personally, I feel a bit uncomfortable staring right away with playing to an exercise or song. There isn't really a medical reason like you have when warming up for sports. It's more of a mental warm up if you ask me. Another ben...
Roxanne Drum Lesson - Learn the Groove from Roxanne The Police (Steward Copeland)
Просмотров 14 тыс.3 года назад
In this lesson we look at a few grooves from Roxanne by The Police. Stewart Copeland is anyways one of my favourite drummers but also the grooves are really special. The bass-drum doesn't start at the "one" for example. Or the fill-ins end not with a crash cymbal on the "one" like it happens in most of the grooves in pop-music.
Very sensible tutorial . Keep it up ! Would like a tutorial on ‘ hymn for the weekend ‘ by Cold play
Awesome job!
You are a great teacher!!! It would be even better if there is a shot of your foot movements. Thank you so much!
3 snares: To lose my life - White Lies

Más hablas que tocas bro
Is there anyone who thought that the snare beat was the beat 1?
Awesome teaching, thank you! I love this song
Thank you for this breakdown!
Loved it, thank you! CA girl
interesting. wish you could have broken down the total song with displacements. it's a tough song.
You got the hi hat barks perfectly! Most drummers on youtube tend to leave it open for too long, and lose the percyssivenes of it.
You didn't mention the flourish at the beginning, which is the only reason I watched this video.
I sifted through many tutorials of this particular cover in attempts to learn the proper sticking, and most of the tutorials that popped up were from awesome people with huge YT channels who have many followers. But I could hear and see it wasn’t being taught correctly as it sounded off from the original recording. I get it, many teach their own versions or their takeaway of how they hear it, and that’s great. We can always learn from others. Then I ran across your tutorial, you nailed it and explained the original sticking better than any other video I’d watched. While I’ve no doubt people who learned the sticking from watching other videos of this particular song sound fantastic and are locked in, it’s still not always taught/learned correctly. And for such an iconic song, my thoughts are that it should be learned and played in its original form. But that’s just me. I wanted to take the time to thank you as I’m my opinion, you did a spot on job of breaking this song down.
Just listen to the song. This just complicate things
Awesome teaching style
Clear & simple, awesome! Great lesson thank you very much.
Thank you its my first drummer songs ❤
I❤, and I ❤ das du es auf Englisch machst. Keep on mate 😊
I would like to suggest you to play take it easy original record
When playing the snare base snare base part does the hi-hat remain closed? Or quickly opened and shut when the snare is hit?
Hallo, great video but you got it wrong. The charleston always follows the muted wah guitar. Check it out on the 1977 live.
Love this, thank you!
your recordings so great
Good. Simple. Straightforward. Fun. Thanks.
Good stuff. I was hoping to hear how the bridge is done but useful nonetheless.
Beautifully explained Andreas. This is the dream song for any drummer as well as a guitarist. I loved the way you broke it down. Can we expect some more from you like this?
Definitely not for beginners. Sounds awful played with straight 8 notes Would not recommend. Other than that, great video.
