5 HELPFUL Tips for Raising Confident, Responsible, Self-Reliant Children
This is amazing. Working moms especially if you work out of the house is an extra stress level. Finding that balance is hard.
Agreed! We do the best that we can ❤️
Great insight Zena! Thank you for sharing.
I'm so glad you found it helpful!
Hi Zena ❤
Hi Linda 😊👋🏾
This episode on T1D, not TD1 was informative. I felt like I was in the room with you ladies.
Thank you for posting a new episode. l’ve been waiting!
Appreciate your support so much ❤️
I love the nuggets shared… the family has TD1 and your child is a child 1st and a TD1 2nd!
So thankful for you sharing your struggles and being real. I feel I have been in a funk for the last 2 years and just show up half-assed. But we keep showing up.
It's so easy to show up when you're feeling great, but the reality is some weeks, months, years are hard. Keep showing up and continue to do the best that you can ❤
Lovely absolutely lovely.
Thank you ❤️
So thankful I found your channel this video so helpful
Glad it was helpful!
I just subscribed to your channel because I love your content
Thank you so much. I will continue to do my best to show up and share content.
Love this.. vulnerability is the first step, keep sharing, I appreciate the authenticity.
Thanks, Friend ❤
Ebbs and flows… It happens to the best of us. I have had to pull myself out of a cloudy headspace more times that I want to admit. And I know pivoting (going back to work) can feel a bit like you’ve failed… but it’s actually a really brave step that I think every successful entrepreneur has had to take. I believe in you. I know you believe in you. And you will feel the fire again!
Thank you friend ❤️. It’s all part of being human. Taking steps daily to get back to a good place where I feel good about creating and sharing. Going back to work is going to be good for me. I need routine ☺️.
I have been there! Be gentle and loving with yourself. It will come back but you have to take care of you. You have to take care of you FIRST.
Thank you ❤️. I’m doing my best to show up for myself every day. The last few weeks have been much better.
❤❤❤ Hang in there Sis. Im in a similar situation. Meditation & 🧘🏾♀️ has helped me.
Thank you 🙏🏾 one day at a time.
Thanks for being so vulnerable. I am the same way in that I feel my best with a sleep schedule, movement, mindfulness, and nutrient-dense food. Why is it so hard to keep it going? Haha. We got this!
I’m still learning how to flow with life and take things one day at a time ☺️. Yes we got this 🙌🏾
Thank you for the Returnship info, I'd never heard of it!
You’re welcome! Good luck
I said no already ànd i felt Good 😊
good job taking your power back!
I need to be able to sleep and also giving my self time
sleep is so important.
Something I found kinda goofy but also so healing for me was selecting a journal that I would have loved as a kid. I went looking for a journal that would be sensible for me but I spotted a hello kitty journal and my “inner child” was begging for it. At first I felt foolish buying it as an older woman. I can’t explain why I find using my hello kitty journal as so healing but it makes me smile when I see it because I wanted one so bad as a child and as always told hello kitty isn’t sensible so my notebook were aways plain and sensible but now as a mature woman I’m using a journal I would have loved as a kid.
That is so beautiful! I love that you threw sensibility out the window and picked a journal that you needed. Good for you ❤️. Your inner child was probably so grateful.
I admire the even timbre of your voice and your seemingly effortless, (or practiced), presentation. Thank you.
That video was SO helpful
I'm so glad!
This what we are missing in our society today! I love your channel as it speaks to the season I’m in. I think most moms are losing the relationship with their children because they don’t know how to nurture them. We tend to focus on what they are doing wrong instead of understanding how to nurture them to restoration.
We really have to be intentional about fostering healthy relationships with our children. So happy you found this video helpful ❤️
Wow draining or energetic
great thing to pay attention to.
I like your thumbnail patience and voice
Thank you!
It is better to journal at night before bed or in the morning?
Not sure if one is better than the other, I think it’s a preference thing. I prefer to do it in the morning.
Yass mama :)
🥰🥰🥰🥰
I had a therapist get upset with me because I would not let him read any of my journals. I explained to him that the reason I wouldn’t is because then it would not be mine anymore. I would have to destroy it the way I did most of my journals when I found out one of my sisters-in-law read them.
That's interesting that a therapist asked you to read your journals. That would upset me too. Your sisters-in-law were so wrong for reading your journals. Such a violation of your privacy.
Wow Zena!! Congratulations on the first of many events!! 🎉
Thank you so much Raquel ❤
I write a bible journal
Awesome! I love that.
I like the tools you provided, guided journal, conversation starters. We do new activities together such as Archery and mommy and daughter dates!
Mommy daughter dates are so much fun ❤️
I don't t speak English very much but I like read my journal.
Reading your journals are so helpful
This is my favorite episode thus far. Zena, I absolutely love what you’re doing. As mothers, whether married or single, we all at some point need encouragement and support on our motherhood journey. ❤
I loved talking to Ixchelle! I’m glad you liked it too. Yes we do need some encouragement and I hope to do my part to uplift moms.
Love love the morning car rides questions… will definitely incorporate that!
Yes. I always looked forward to hearing their answers 🥰
I love all of this! I will be sure to adopt the conversational prompts with my toddlers. As we all grow, I will definitely adopt the journaling prompts as well. I am big on journaling and am so thankful I found your channel. Keep paving the way and sharing with us as you grow.
So happy it’s helpful! If you find any other tips or tools especially for younger kids, please share 🥰. Thank you for your support ❤️
Go jada😁stay strong
Yesss!!!!💪🏾
Thanks!!
No problem!
Asking for help when you don’t need is a great recommendation!
I have to remind myself to do this. It’s so easy to just get things done but the best time to ask for help is when you don’t need it :)
Beautifully done ruclips.net/user/shortssgNYCQYO27A?si=jwFxznrsa2l1YmYW
Funny I was listening to this conversation while working out!!! Great advice with starting small. That’s how I started working out this year, I started with simply walking outside in the morning and now I’m doing strength training.
Such good advice! And good for you girl. So proud of you ❤️
I’m afraid of the interview and criticism cause I’ve gotten it before like suddenly I’m judge for mentioning I had kids in the first place
that is a fear for so many moms who are coming back to the workforce and it's so sad that companies still penalize moms for making the best decision for their family. I recorded this video with some interview tips, hope it can help you on your journey; ruclips.net/video/Gipye9LEa40/видео.html
Definitely struggle with overcompensating
I know many moms can resonate with that.
Time management is key, and figuring out our Core values 👏🏾
Agreed! The core values for the family is a big one and a complete game-changer.
Setting boundaries with our kids…. That’s the hardest one I think 😭
That is pretty hard. I loved that Liz touched on that because it's so important. I saw your video the other day with you enforcing a boundary with your kids while you and your hubby were spending time together. You're doing a good job!
Can you. PLEASE stop dividing moms into "working" and not? I've never worked so much since I became a stay at home mom and I was a busy physician! I've seen it and I wanna go back for some break from SO MUCH WORK AT HOME!
Not trying to divide moms and it's unfortunate that you took it that way. Being a SAHM is a lot of work and I would never try to minimize that. I hope you were able to find some value in what I shared and did not get stuck on the working mom title ❤
I love lean into yourself and your own intuition.
Yes!! That instinct kicks in and moms have to learn to recognize it and trust it.
I appreciate hearing about standing firm in Faith!
Same here. Such a good reminder.
This was a good watch!! 👏🏽
Glad you liked it. I loved talking to Teesh ❤️
Such a great interview! You inspired me to get on the peloton and spin while watching. Such great advice and a true inspiration to start small and see changes
Awesome Liz. Vanessa has some great tips to integrate fitness in your life.
This was fabulous! I loved hearing both your stories.
Thanks for watching Liz ❤️
Great job Teesh! I enjoyed this conversation!
I absolutely loved chatting with Teesh 🙌🏾
