Animal Well Part 3: Strategic Falling
Another episode, yes. And we start with a lot of cooking. Thank goodness we can cook a stack instead of one at a time. If we say cook the stack of items then game please do it or at least ask the player. Slight grumble aside the mini game seems like it puts a bit of pressure on the more there are or possibly due to making stronger healing items. Oh come on game, this isn't one of the caves in Kanto, we don't need to be constantly bothered by bats. In this case they're rats with wings. The jars and the button puzzles are interesting. Especially when they added the spikey item (I already forgot what it's called, ugh) as a slingshot target to as another part of the challenge, absolutely brilliant. Maybe it's a foreshadowing to some other puzzles not seen in other games. I'm going to make a guess that the moonstone maybe for crafting or to give the kids something from the temple. Unless it's just for selling I'm hoping fot the first option. Holy floof, the sprint and leap puzzles look really tricky with a possibility of being uncomfortable with a keyboard. I hope using a controller works easier here. Health and energy meter increases, awesome. Hopefully future ones aren't overly tricky to find. Well this slime is angry. I'm surprised we didn't find a giant Toad or a giant Rock Toad. Although maybe not a giant Rock Toad considering how strong the defense is on them. Also thank goodness this slime didn't try to fall on Gail, especially with the spikes. Maybe both the goddess and the Phoenix are just a golem? A golem we help rebuild? Or the golem could be a completely different character and my brain is jumping around to different possibilities. Then a mysterious puzzle where we only enter after finding more pearls. Nice way to bring the player back to this temple. Plus I get the feeling we're going to find a way to swim so that's another reason to return to make sure everywhere is checked. Fun episode. I can't wait to see what's going to happen next.
Well, progress should be rapid, cuz I've already reached editing out dead air and backtracking, and it's back to 2 episodes a week, so look forward to that! Good theory about the Phoenix though, I hadn't considered that.
congrats on defeating the giant slime! And once again bats seem to be a pain in the ass...
Thanks, though it would have been a lot easier if I explored the town a little more before leaving...
@@EnvoyofKairos I'm assuming we'll see that in part 3 where you get something that can actually do something to those Iron Worms?
@@ryukaze7392 I have yet to encounter a way to deal with them, but then again, I've only recorded about another 3 hours since this and had to hard focus some commission speedpaints (1st one coming Wednesday)
@@EnvoyofKairos makes sense.
New Pixel Party game time. This looks like it's going to be fun. Especially hearing it's got inspiration from Legend of Zelda, huzzah! We can change difficulty at any time, that's always a plus. Holy floof the art in the opening is just wow. It maybe a very dramatic and emotional scene for the history, but it feels like we're getting hints of the future inhabitants of this world. Hm then we learn humans created something they named Phoenix, but was it really the bird of legends or something else? Also seeing the image at 3:27 it's really pretty. I'm extra excited to see what this game has in store. Oh wow the music is fun too. Daw this has me smiling and mega excited to see our protagonist Gail in action. A mysterious treasure chest we can't open. Curiosity has me hoping we find out soon. ... We open them by breaking them, by the moon why does this have me excited? However we have found treasure I wonder if we can find more than money in these chests? The forest is impressive, except for the falling branches. I hope they return when we reenter the room. However on a brighter note, we'll fight the toads and ceiling slimes, but ooo a statue. Then you ask the same question I was about too. Maybe the Phoenix wasn't a bird, but a person? Hmm more lore to learn about as we go. Hopefully the Phoenix hasn't become part of the big bad for the adventure. The cooking tutorial wasn't where I expected it to be, but that's just making this game get better and better. Oh and we click when the circle is over the center that's not to tricky. Alex suggesting we just do the thing, has my mind traveling back to Sea of Stars and the Messenger. The game is going to be awesome and this is just the first episode. I can't wait to see what happens next in this temple, but I'm worried that by the time wr get back to the village things aren't going to be the same from the moment we left it. I am very curious and excited to see what will happen next.
Well, this game's pace is a little slow at the start, but it's a charming world with great spritework and music, so it's a cozy wait for the real action at least.
@@EnvoyofKairos The more I hear about this game the more excited I become. ^v^
This game looks cute! And after Tormenture seems like a perfect game to bounce back from the horror aspect of that and Animal Well. I like the Legend of Zelda aspect here but it seems like it introduces the player to the controls as well as Tunic did...
Well, the controls are largely just awkward at first, I'll get used to them eventually. It doesn't really hide controls, you just unlock more of it as ya go. No metroidbrainia here.
@@EnvoyofKairos that's completely fair. Hopefully a controller can be used though because it does look like having to figure out the controls for the game takes a bit to get used to.
@@ryukaze7392 Yeah, I got a controller working since.
Jahandar, your time here is over. I don't see us changing you into a throw rug, but it would've been interesting making use of your tail in some way. Or maybe ask Kaheva if any of the other parts from the manticore could've been helpful for crafting. Oh yeah, way to go Sargon! That parry was awesome. Leaving that bad manticore open for some serious damage. When we took down Jahandar I realized something. King Darius defeated Jahandar before letting the manticore live to occasionally eat people. However Sargon went a step further and took down the manticore for good. I can't wait for more lore about King Darius and wonder if we'll see more connections between their actions before everything is accomplished here on Mount Qaf. I know I mentioned something like this before, but it has me feeling like King Darius and his kingdom are also helping Sargon to find new paths he hadn't seen before. First time ability acquired in the shape of a feather. Very creative and the ability is called Rush of the Simurgh, oh the hints were here too. I can't help, but chuckle at the clues I missed before. Also this air dash makes me think we're giving our protagonist a chance to fly. It just keeps getting better and better. Hey Artaban, uh oh. We found another version of him before he decided to stay at the Haven. The flow of time really loves to mess with everyone. I'm just surprised Artaban didn't mention remembering meeting us somewhere else before the one in the Haven. Refinding the letter about the scroll that assisted in the scholar going nuts had me very sad. A young fellow was trying to help and things spiraled into a mess almost/was as big as the one that fully messed with the time around Mount Qaf. The scene with Vahram and his comments, they definitely strike a cord here. Part of me wants to kick my old self for being worried, then take it back since there's so much happening it's a clue that only makes sense later. Heck the line could've just meant that time was messing with him and he'd been in this room thanks to getting turned around. The foreshadowing of meeting the architect Maryam. At least when we do find her, she's not doing anything too over the top. Although the stairs that can change directions I'm a bit confused how they're supposed to work. On the other hand, how did I not realize the spirits we meet at the trees are part of the Wak-Wak trees. The line about their roots connecting everywhere and feeling what's happening. *sigh* I am very silly. Huh? Behnâm was both jailer and head of the scholars. He definitely went nuts thanks to what he learned and more than likely thanks to the fall of the kingdom. True Moon quest starts this episode. At least this fellow isn't as annoying as the hide and seek npc from Bloodstained. Hm I just had a thought what if something did happen to the moon when the different timelines were created? If the different gods and goddesses of this world were sent to different ones maybe the moon could've been affected? Or I'm trying to find connections and my curiosity wants to learn more about the moon of this world. Ah floof the episode is over for the day. I can't wait to watch more. ^v^
Yeah, those shifting stairs are just obnoxious. I hated dealing with them, getting through them in certain directions requires frame-perfect dashes.
This idea fits so much like a glove I'm surprised it hasn't happened yet...and the chance for the type combinations to get even more complicated tickles my brain. This is the kind of engagement I think could put solid turnbased Pokèmon back on the map. Combined with the move order in the HUD like in Arceus...damn.
I really did love the Arceus action economy system, too. Here's to hoping it returns in Legends ZA.
I absolutely love the dynamic between Eggman and Tails, so to have Tails be one of his robot's mechanics, even erasing his work... I wonder if Eggman would even care? At a point like this it would even be a kind of Ship of Theseus situation I feel like. I never really thought about the concept of Omega not being comfortable in his own 'skin', but his resonance with many people probably comes partially from that honestly! (Bri was watching and mentioned she likes that aspect a lot)
Omega, despite his constant insistence on having no emotions, really is a surprisingly human character. Just one without a filter, most of the time. So it's not too surprising people can relate to him so easily.
The next episode did indeed answer my question about whether qe can hurt foes with the bombs. Fariba, hint system, map seller, and all around fun character to interact with. She makes the hide and seek moments a great adventure. I am now feeling like we should've been given a fun goodbye scene with friends like Fariba, The Mage, and Kaheva before we left Mount Qaf. Speaking of Kaheva, huzzah for the awesome goddess blacksmith. Having her sell the amulet that increases the ability to gain the time crystals that's not a hard decision if I was playing. Hello assistant to gaining the crystals needed for upgrades. We can bounce the chakram back at our enemies with a parry? Oh that's a skill I need to remember because it feels like a fun idea for other powers. Now this is a hall of prophecies. The more we find the better the place looks and even more of the story this place is hiding. And to think one of the people who caused all the problems in Mount Qaf sends us here to fix things. Even if it wasn't in the way they expected. Part of me is both happy and sad the picture on the map doesn't share everything about what's hidden in this room. It's a major encouragement to find all the missing time sand. With bow in hand another area of warped time is fixed. Especially the statue that's helping with the climb. Okay game, that lore about Jahandar and King Darius wasn't just a tale of power. That's foreshadowing for later. That's sneaky. I love this and tomorrow will be Sargon's turn to fight that manticore. To bad we couldn't have been given some catnip and flung it at Jahandar during the boss fight. That would've been hilarious having the boss start roll8ng around in silly ways.
Ya know, looking back, Sargon does redo a lot of the former king's feats, doesn't he? Hm.. I need to replay this game again soon.
It's Omega's turn and I am not two minutes in with my mouth dropping from the lore along with seeing the design. I wasn't aware that Tails was Omega's go to mechanic, but that would mean the more Tails learns and sees the better Omega will become. Frontiers is easily a great place to take inspiration from and then add to Omega. I am also happy to see some of Omega's legs and arms not looking so thin. The new design looks like they can put more strength behind punches the legs will have more force behind them, but most importantly not look like they can be a possible weak spot to attack and break. Your time jump design has me thinking that any enemy Omega fights will have a tougher time against this member of Team Dark. Oh and giving upgrades inspired by each guardian? Wow they're incredible. For a moment I thought the wings on the bottom left design was giving Digimon vibes, but thinking back to Frontiers huzzah this is just too good. Mentioning the Greek Gods for the modular upgrades is (come on brain you can think of more words) beyond cool. It makes sense due to the Greek Gods following and working/fighting with the titans. It's all working together perfectly. Also might I add the highlights and shadows on Omega almost has me thinking I am seeing actual metal. I have to remind myself it's something you're painting. Great work. ...Wait a moment. You had Tails give ports to use a Chaos Emerald. Oh my gosh, well Omega just gave me a reason to be glad he's on our side. The idea of all the good characters using a Super Form should have any enemy worried. Now that I wrote this my initial worry of what a Super Omega can do became less since my brain jokingly gave a Super Saiyan 3 wig onto Omega and it's absolutely hilarious. Thankfully he doesn't have to worry about losing his eybrows since he didn't have any to start with. Floof, my brain isn't being nice. I guess I'll have to wait to understand your clue. Unless we're getting new art for your book? Then this means you'll have me very excited for the next surprise. Until then thanks for sharing your newest timeskip painting.
Funny ya mention Omega with SS3 hair. I suggest ya watch Lythero's videos where he modded Sonic characters into Dragonball Fighterz. And Alfred from the Snapcube live redub cast joined them for it! Also, I got digimon vibes designing the Zeus module too. Specifically Angemon.
Omega: Eggman... you may be the Alpha who created me and my many brothers and sisters... but now you will feel the wrath of the true Omega.
Honestly, moving forward, I don't think Eggman is going to be as much of a threat. But Omega will surely be happy to fight back the incarnate of oblivion.
Oh floof, the scene where we get Menolias's bow yikes it gave me chills. At the same time wow, the spooky beginning of meeting alternate variations of ourselves. Although part of me wishes we could've been able to unlock a method to get everyone's weapoms. Not to say I'm disappointed in the multi-use bow, I'm not it's amazing. I was just hoping to see Sargon weilding Orod's anchor to squish some of our opponents. Maybe even spin around to get several enemies at once. Neith's spear would've been fun too. However a thought just popped up that has me curious, who killed that alternate version of us, another counterpart or one of the not great Immortals or did he fall to an enemy that is no longer in that part of the map? The fact we only see the one body in the room has me wondering if we would've been pulled into a battle after gaining the bow if it was another counterpart. On a brighter note, even fancier platform puzzles with jumps and trick shots to activate places to stand. Plus a method to fight some foes from range. Plus a means of getting passed locked gates this bow is a great addition. Also yay Menolias for not minding us having a copy of his bow. It just makes the later seen feel sadder now that I'm remembering it. Okay different topic, the fact the game adds a heartbeat to the soundtrack when Sargon is low on health is something I don't think I noticed the first time. It's supposed to be a warning, but almost feels like it might not be his heartbeat we're hearing. The bombs that Sargon can activate I wonder if they're meant to be traps or part of a puzzle. Maybe they can assist in fighting some of our undead foes. Until then fun episode and it has me looking forward to continue this second time through.
Menolias is just a great character. Most of this cast is, really, but we get a lot more of him compared to the others, and I can't help but appreciate it.
@@EnvoyofKairos Agreed it feels like we get to see more of who Menolias is and the struggles he went through on Mount Qaf. I have a feeling if he had survived there's a chance he would've joined Sargon on his journey. Now that I wrote that I'd be curious about a alternative adventure where we get to explore as Menolias or Neith. I can imagine some of the puzzles being changed or finding new bosses. Maybe Neith is the one who took down the assassin member of the team, I can't remember her name. Oops.
Thank you Mage for an amult to fight poison just before we enter a place very likely to hide poisonous plants and animals. Getting the super hit on that undead armour knight/soldier, I had a little trouble seeing so I mentioned both, who was being problematic felt like a perfect way to get back at that npc. I know they'll be back when we return to the corridor, but I beat that take down will be one it won't forget. Oh wow the puzzle where we hit switchs and swing off posts connected to the water wheels is impressive. Especially when activating the water changes where the swinging posts are. I either spaced the first time or just missed it since I can't remember this one at all. I wonder if we'll see this puzzle style somewhere else in this game. I just had a realization. The enemy in the forest with the leaf cloak, it is reminding me of several characters from Legend of Zelda. The Garo feel like a possibility, but so do some of the skull kids and another one maybe Deku Shrubs, but as I try to remember it's slipping away making me not certain. I'll try to share when I remember. I wish we could've helped the spirits that live in the Wak-Wak trees. Maybe have a quest to meet and assist each of them. Oh dang the music in this game just continues to be great. Ganon pork of the forest, time to face a different hero of time. I'm still surprised the boar was given a donkey kick in case Sargon behind Erlik. ... I just had another realization. I may not be the biggest Princess Mononoke fan, but I just realized a number of parallels with this game. We have a male protagonist, who is a known warrior fight a cursed boar early on before meeting a giant wolf along with many spirits. I think we also see a giant deer in this game too, but the main point is I think it's interesting that the two stories have similar beats in them.
The tree spirits feel very fae-like to me. Nonsensical, detached from time and human morals or logic, very unreliable sources of information.
Rewatching this almost feels like the first time, maybe Mount Qaf caught me too or I'm in a silly mood. Either way the early enemies have some tricky timing when it's hard to parry. Hi Mage, great to see you again. Plus her Legend of Zelda reference. I hope she and the other inhabitants of Mount Qaf will be okay when we leave later. Also I wish we could've found more town areas like The Haven. I don't remember there being many. Although it is great that when training with Artaban helps gain more money for the game. Wait a moment, how the floof did I not notice their training area looks like we're in a colosseum? I feel so silly. Seeing the jump dodges at this point of the game just looks really cool. So many abilities, but great advice. Thank you Artaban. One lesson Sargon can also take from the lessons, he doesn't keep the damage taken from the hits carry over between lessons or when we leave. If the damage did stay we luckily have a Wak-Wak tree nearby.
Rewarding the player for learning each combat mechanic instead of just making it an obnoxious process you either have to deal with or struggle without is something a lot more devs should do.
Very nice! Looking forward to how these are all balanced and integrated into the story. Will any gym leaders/etc get unique/semi-unique combo moves? There's a lot of potential here.
There's plans for every gym leader and elite combo to have one unique combo move, though many of them you'll only be able to see on rematches.
Holy hell, those animations kick ass. Nice work.
Thanks! Hoping to do more of them eventually. I have a few plans for some plot-based animations later into the project, actually....
This is a hugely ambitious project! :O I can't imagine how much the game would cost to make if Nintendo were to hypothetically pick it up. Then again, the Pokemon Company desperately needs to take a gamble... I do genuinely love the idea of a pokemon region taking place in the middle east. It's a pretty original idea! I might need to see your other videos on the subject because I'm curious where you're going with the setting.
Thanks! There's a whole playlist of content on my channel for it, and a lot of stuff from older videos (mainly pokemon designs) is gonna be redone soon for the next one! And well, we can only hope they're getting more ambitious. This is the longest they've gone without revealing a new mainline title in ages, looks like they're putting a full five years into it instead of the two n a half they've been doing.
To start this off, I am going to say the new item feels like we ate a Mini Shroom and that's why we can't push blocks. Although being able to get through the spikes huzzah. Hm. The room where a demon tries to throw a projectile as we get through a maze, but with symbols added in to become part of the maze at 3:29. Something just feels like it's possibly hinting at a puzzle somewhere else. Maybe I'm just trying to find something, but I can't shake the thought. *shrug* I just realized something funny about the evil blue Pacman. They look like blue Trapinchs if they were just the face. I can't unsee it and it's really funny. Um wizard puppy the giant moonlike enemy isn't here. Oh you meant a different end. Oops. Hopefully that was the last candle because wow I'm hoping we don't run into another maze trickier than that one. Ludo from Labyrinth. Yay! No wonder a rock was outside his room. Fun film and great music. Oh flip we went into a room and now a summoning set up appeared in our room. Oh crud and we haven't seen all the easter eggs yet. Uh oh. Wait, nothing else happened? Thank goodness, I was worried we'd get pulled into the game or the final boss would appear. We still have time. We Got the Sword! That animation felt like a reference to both Legend of Zelda and possibly He Man or Thundercats. I'm not sure which although it would be funny if it was all of the above. The sword can be upgraded, Huzzah! With it we can finally take down that dragon. That final battle, uh I think your final words in the episode rounds up my thoughts too. Although i am curious if we could've gotten a better look at what the light from outside our room was. It has me curious if we'll be seeing other episode after this. If not, what a journey this was. I'd be curious if the game gets a sequel so we can try to destroy that horrible demon forever. I'm glad the other developers got to say spmething to our protagonist before the battle it was really nice to see them not try to attack again. As I said before if this was the last, thanks for sharing this adventure. If it's not oh what else does it have hidden and waiting for us to find?
It is indeed the last, the light outside the room was just to guide us there to leave, it's a more optimistic ending that shows us basically nothing. More satisfied with the one we got, honestly. Had a blast with this game, really wish there were more like it. Eh, well, we should be getting the next of Mullins' games this year.
@@EnvoyofKairos Ah a different ending. Okay. The one you got definitely feels like a hint to another game, but the creators getting in one last jump scare. It was a big surprise.
@@KittyKitty_FantasyDreamer Indeed, and I certainly hope they do make a sequel.
26:27 - that has to be a Pet Shop of Horror's reference there. Man eating plant that is watered and red? I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's a reference to Seymour. Not sure about the evil sun and sunflower though. Congrats on defeating the game and getting the secret ending! And I forgot about the ritual summoning moment with the game console...so that was a good jumpscare moment. I wouldn't be surprised if everyone got the bad ending first because its so easy to get. And this is where you find out the four bosses were the four people at the end of the instruction manual that went "missing" due to the Director who made a soul for the demon. Not going to spoil what the endings are in the comment but to get the... Bad Ending: When the battle starts, don't do anything. Good Ending: Complete the fight as shown in the video but go towards the door, not to the closet.
Ah, I've seen the other endings. As for how this one ended, kinda has me hoping to see a sequel, maybe one made in a higher bit but with the same demon behind it all.
@@EnvoyofKairos It would have to be a different console and what not, plus the immersion is a little broken since you know that the demon/producer/creator who made a deal with a demon is behind it all.
@@ryukaze7392 Well, it could be a different demon and development team involved, with a twist that the producer was innocent and someone else hid the demonic stuff in there.
@@EnvoyofKairos That would be quite interesting...
New Mesopas region with combining moves for a theme. *Yes!* This speaks to the type of trainer I wanted to be. It opens so many possibilities to ideas. Plus this feels like it takes the idea of double battles into the Ash Ketchum and anime contest style battles. The teamwork of the different attacks, this is just something that gets me excited. Plus coming up with ideas and how I would hope the combinations look. Oh my floof these combinations for the starters. Wow, I want to say more, but wow is the best word I can describe it. Although I can almost imagine Bog Bomber being similar to the Spirit Bomb. Start with a ball of plants, enhance with water to make bigger then boom slowed and affected by leech seed. Awesomeness. Gengar and Clefable combo, *nod nod* that makes sense. Causing damage and healing our side. Very crafty and something perfect for a fairy and ghost team up. Seviper's and Zangoose's teamup I couldn't watch, but hearing about how it works with the consequences for the pair. Powerful, but the draw backs make sense. New Pokemon for the episode too. Oh we're getting so much. Thank you. ^v^ New mon with wings, I don't remember you. Oh I can't wait to learn about this one. Mesopan Braviary and Vulatile, thank you credits for answering that first question about who they are. Nezt up is hearing more about them. Ice type Mesopan Nidoqueen freezing Leavanny. Oh yeah that one was easy watch. With Firery Mesopan,Nidoking ready to assist. The pair in cages, I'm starting to think we are getting our first look at the legendaries who are the region's guardians. Oh man I can't wait to learn more. ....Mega Evolution too?! HUZZAH! This makes me extremely happy. This is something I am hoping Game Freak decides to keep around. I love seeing what the pokemon with all the potential unbound looks like. Some with new types and just making me want to see so many other Pokemon get this type of upgrade. I feel bad about not being able to watch it all, but I was trying to be extra careful. On a btighter note, this is a great addition to your region. If this was a game I could play now I'd be over the moon with excitement for the new battle mechanic. If we ever got something like this for Pokemon Gale of Darkness or Pokemon XD or even the third game that was hinted but never made. Oh I can imagine some impressive combinations maybe helping to speed up the process of helping the Shadow Pokemon. This is so amazing and I thank you for sharing this.
As always, happy to share! And yeah, this is just the beginnings of the combo moves, and my region's own equivalent to megas is coming, with some interesting mechanical and aesthetic changes. Gonna be a bit before you see the legends again, though...
Bro, I’m seriously blown away by how this turned out! The whole concept of Combo Moves is next level-it’s got me hyped and legit salivating! The Mesopas region is a masterpiece in the making, and I can’t wait to see what’s next. Keep this heat coming, I’m hooked!
@@PartyPossumPosse Plenty more to come, bro! Another video in about a month, and then back to plot stuff for it. Thanks for tuning in for the premiere!
Aaaaah, so glad to finally have this one out.
I always have to remind myself that Babylon Garden isn't even really a garden or a city... or at least it wasn't initially. Babylon Garden was once a spaceship named the devine wings, and their engine units were so powerful that having them be present on the ship would literally cause a black hole while each individual engine unit has the power to creat small black holes and disrupt gravitational polarity these engine units are known as rhe Arks of the Cosmos It stated they came to earth and scattered their engine units, and they were always wishing to go back home. Whatever kind of technology the Babylonias created was truly some of the most advanced and powerful ancient tech in the series nearly on par with the ancients themselves and since Babylon Garden is actually the Devine Wings space ship (also known as Astral Babylon as the track name suggest in srzg and as the Sonic Wiki identifies it as) that is how they probably escaped their home planet and ended up on earth.
Huh, that's some info I wasn't privy to. Guess that throws a wrench in this theory. I do have another one for ya to check out though, that I feel is much more solid and substantial! ruclips.net/video/eX4dM3kWGqo/видео.html
I know it's only been a year, but seeing the floating and broken statues again are giving me chills. Wow! The riples on the ground when the time magic catches the Immortals. Oh that's impressive, it's acting like their on a liquid surface. Part of me wishes this effect happens in more of the rooms. Zombies want to get up, okay time to send them back to sleep. Plus we'll do the same for those hyenas with human faces. Yay Wak-Wak trees and Fariba. It's great to see them again. First rift closed and the location is fixed. Oh wait this room had multiple of them. It'd going to be a great adventure exploring this place again. Finding treasures and assisting the fun characters on Mount Qaf. Although it looks like times up for this episode, I really want to watch more, but I think I need to take it slow.
Take your time, take days off if ya need to. Although, there is some great new content coming tomorrow! But you may want to be careful with it, I may have animated some impact frames...
@@EnvoyofKairos I might be needing to do a day off since I made a recent change and my system is letting me know what it thinks. And it's not pleased. Hopefully it won't be a long transition into calm again. Although I am excited about new content. ^v^
Time to revisit Sargon and it's nice to be back. I almost forgot the game had a variation of "It's dangerous to go alone. Take this" I am very excited to see It's a health potion since Sargon already has swords. Plus loving the moments of teamwork before it completely becomes a solo adventure. The scene in the throne room feels like it holds so many nods to future events It's got me thinking, how did I miss this? I'm so excited to rewatch this game. Oh flip I just noticed an interesting detail the shape of the handle almost has a avian look to it. Hm! Part of me wonders if Sargon could've used his Athra Surge against the general, would the battle have been over a lot faster. With each parry and all the damage you did any final attack would've been powerful. The music and art for the backgrounds plus the characters it's just so impressive. I can't wait to see more details I missed the first time through. Plus it has me hoping we'll get to see Sargon in another game soon.
That bird is tucked all over this game, thing is damn near omnipresent. The Simurgh's story is incredible, and really has me hoping they expand on it further in a sequel.
True Arena time! With Kirby using Mecha there's one line that's too perfect here. *Bandanna Dee dressed as a referee appears calling out,* "Metabot... I mean True Arena, Robattle!" My brother used to watch Metabots so this is something that popped up as a fun opening. Followed by some silly commentary. Goriath EX: Blasted away Fatty Puffer EX: Fried fish Mr Dooter EX: Returned to his lamp Whispy Woods EX: Well pruned and quieted EX mini boss rush: Not even a challenge Multiple Sphere Doomers: Kaboom! Metal General EX: Fell before Mecha Kirby's might Grand Doomer EX: Changed into fire works Landia EX: Not even channeling their inner Spyro saved them Rampaging Doomers: A quartet of Vader nos echoes into the void Hydriath: Uh oh, this Sea Monkey won, but this was only the first try. HR-D3: Oh man, robot bosses just keep thinking they will win. Sorry, but you don't have enough star power and cake enchantments here. That belongs to Kirby and his friends. Although this foe is putting up a bigger fight. Lor EX & Magolor: Nice new coat of paint, but Kirby and Landia are the champions here Magolor EX: Is outta here. Galacta Knight: If only we could copy his move set that would be fun to see. However once again Kirby is the better Star Warrior! Plus take that Galacta we have more items to assist us. You may have bouncing energy blades, but Kirby is still going to win. Master Crown; All Whispys will know the might of Kirby. Even if this one has a crown, Kirby is our king. Okay, this round to you tree, but this was only a first try against this foe as Kirby. Mr Dooter EX: You maybe a genie, but Kirby is your monkey's paw. Rampaging Doomers: If Landia normal and Landia EX couldn't beat Kirby, you don't have a chance. Crowned Doomer: I think these Doomers haven't figured it out yet, Kirby isn't going to be taken down by any of them. Just self destruct and we'll head into the next challenge. HR-D3: Time to scrap this troublesome bot Lor EX & Magolor: I'm running out of snappy jokes. Um, back to the dock with you. No that's not silly enough. Oh I got it, the crown was a siren and Kirby was the deadly rocks the Lor EX crashed into. That's better, onto the next match. Magolor EX: Poof, one moment he was here and then he was gone. Galacta Knight: Another round and Mecha Kirby says not today Galacta! Master Crown: We're back and now it's your turn to fall! Even with your lasers Kirby will rise to the occasion. Magolor Soul: Don't worry Magolor we'll save you and Void won't be able to defeat Kirby. At least he's nice enough to teleport in front of some of the cannon blasts. We may have lost Mech, but got it back on the second try. Then Magolor just floated there letting us blast him again. Maybe that was the real one trying to assist us in his rescue. Envoy Kirby, the warrior of chaos, will bring Void down and save the world. Now give us Magolor back! Winner of the True Arena is Kirby! He leaves all his foes speechless. 100% clear title screen. Until the next Kirby game, *Kirby victory dance* and *Poyo!*
God, I hope it's not long before the next Kirby game. There better be one as a release title for the Switch 2.
@@EnvoyofKairos Agreed, I'm excited what surprise Kirby will bring in the near future.
Oh boy starting the episode with a magnet puzzle. Yikes at let's it didn't need you to find multiple magnets to complete this one. Ao many easter eggs unlocked, but the one where we unlock the safe and it squished the character was not what I expected. I thought it would just fall off and open up. That was sad. At least the ET being barried was silly. I'm glad I wasn't the only one to jump when that sudden hand appeared to touch the screen then vanish. Then more appear, okay this isn't a one time event so maybe it's a boss or something else is trying to get our attention. Placing things okay I think that's both impressive, but creepy how they...DA FLOOF WAS THAT?! Something was at our door and then closed it. Did something escape the game and we caught them before they could attack us? Whatever it is, the thumbnail now makes a lot more sense. The water puzzles with the keys and magnets is very cool. Making sure both timing and moving into the correct positions. It makes the puzzle at the start seem like these are so much simpler instead of getting trickier. Please let me not have jinxed things. Seeing how the doors lead as fast travel to other parts of the map I remember my original idea of them taking us to the original rooms where the other kids wrre taken from now feels silly. The other consoles wouldn't be on plus the game cartridge thry used is likely the one we're using now. Although it would've been a cool idea of exploring the other places and finding clues or item we could use. Hurt the boss with sharp things. Okay! Part of me really wishes we could ask an npc about the sword but using the magnet to move the needles fine. Let's do it. The darts, that's why we've had them from the start! They're for a boss fight, oh that's clever. I'm just confused on how we got him when the window is closed, but hey these darts keep returning to the box so they must have some power in them. Boss down and we can see more puzzles down. Huzzah to new clues but so much left to solve. A new area with spikes that sounds like we need a new item. Thankfully I just remembered I saved a picture of the guide book and there's something that will help I'm curious where it's hidden. The easter egg twins, twin girls vanished. Could that be Jennifer and Kate? And Timothy, the boy with the frog plush, could he be the fishing frog character? It that is them where's Lucas? Things are becoming curiouser and curiouser. Okay that's weird, the dragon is back, but we've been through several times and he was ways gone. What changed? The fact we have the artifacts? Beat four bosses? Hmm.. I am so confused but also very curious. Part of me wishes we saw the art designer's hand just dropping the dragon back into place. First Pac-Man ghosts in the maze to find candles. Now he appears and is ready to eat us. Yikes, I guess because our in game avatar is kind of a ghost of ourselves participating in that world. That's both an interesting idea, but also dangerous if we got pulled into the game and they found us. Tiny item found and now we can finally defeat the spikes and tiny mazes. I am very glad we found it. Although dang the timing since the episode is over. I am curious whether we can make use of this item in other areas of the game and find more easter eggs. I'm both excited and a bit nervous about what we'll find next time.
This boos interaction with the real world was honestly the most frightening to me, just being stared at like that all of the sudden. And facing the level designer as a boss... we're lucky he didn't make things a lot harder on us.
That bonus stage at the beginning of the episode made me realize that unlike the Kirby stages, the only stages that have a rank for thr epilogue are the regular levels. It's a reverse of what Kirby has by the ranks being in the challenges. I guess since many of the challenges are simpler the game designers thought we didn't need to rank the Magolor challenges. That last escape the wall of doom challenge had me a bit jumpy but it was fun seeing all the tiny foes in the guantlet. Even the tiny Mech enemies. Oh man I accidentally paused at 8:02 as Magolor is being pulled into the boss fight. However I caught the moment he's upside down and it just looks so silly. I've seen him enter the portals so many times, but the pause moment just caught my funny bone today. Rampaging Doomers times fours each with what looks like the fruit slices. This shouldn't be problematic. Let's blast all four and take our slice or slices to go. On the other hand, what if the reason for there being four of them is because of Landia being made up of four dragons? That would be an interesting reason. (Oh floof, I just rechecked what I wrote last time and I even had a similar thought about Landia.) Ah just a single slice from the quartet, well thanks for the slice time to be reminded of what happens next. Heywe worked hard to get the apple whole again. Crowned Doomer isnot taking this away from us. Although knowing me I'd probably want to take advantage of being able to up the skills higher before this anf the following fights. Ifthe initial max bombs are powerful what is thenew maxed level capable of? Master Crown aka the tree boss fight that was missing from the Magolor levels. If Kirby gets to battle Whispy every game then even Magolor will have one. Oh dang, if we ever had a Suzie verion of a epilogue would the Whizpy she fight be mechanical transformer? I can't shake the idea and I want to see that. A Hal room in the epilogue awesome. I bet there was a lot of pointswhen you used black hole on the letters. Okay evil tree I know I said this before, but your lasers are both a surprise and powerful. Calm down. Wait he can body slam too, ouch. Final hit being a dash attack just feels awesome especially after the phasing helped dodge an attack that felt like how did this work. We get a sword for the final part, heck yeah let's go! I just had a thought, what if there's a future game where characters Kirby has helped need to go on an adventure together level up skills and work to save Kirby. Maybe some new or old enemy captured him and the other character's get to play hero and save the universe. Or the problem starts when Kirby is sick and can't help fighting the problem that's appeared. Either way I'd be curious what Hal Labratory will come up with next. Until then Poyo!
A full game playing as Kirby's friends instead of Kirby would be pretty cool, but I doubt they'd do it. Which is a shame, honestly.
Not going to lie, this area and the red mansion got me to legit jump at the scares (the random art room and the eye in the door) but I liked the real life portion of this area the most. What were you saying when the rooms were switching up though after going through the door and back? I couldn't hear the word that you were saying to describe it or what it meant
The word I used was non-euclidean. Euclidean geometry is basically anything we can clearly define and construct with known 3-dimensional mathematics. Non-euclidean geometry is something beyond human understanding that we cannot map out or construct.
@@EnvoyofKairos thanks
Power up Magolor and the we're going in. It's not a tough area, but our foes fall before us. I just realized if you had the whole floor covered in the bombs all enemies that don't fly would instantly disappear upon arriving in the arena. That would be funny to see. Also is it just me or does it feel like the music is about to start going into the Hamster Dance song each time Magolor enters a stage? I've been meaning to ask, but I kept forgetting. I think that Magolor cannon challenge was just a fun excuse to let the player have a location just to use that ability multiple times. It's a very fun idea plus the bonus counter was going up fast. I think the gauntlet that has some stage hazards, foes, and Magic Points traveling across the arena was fun. It was like watching a parade float that Magolor was fighting on. That is it wasn't nice when on trapped and then crushed Magolor, but it was impressive plus the final float got to be the true final spot. A fun means to redesign the level while we're right there. A wall that has both nonphasing blocks as an obstacle to a lever with more points. I'm guessing, since I forgot, that means we'll be back after a battle. Or due to picking the harder version of the stage we can't get to those points. Nope we returned to it some mini bosses later. Well played game, well played. I was wrong, but that's fine. It's fun getting to see more alternate enemy colors and designs. Some feel stronger and others not so much. Especially with Magolor regaining so much of his list strength. Some of the new skills he's showing I think possibly would've been interesting to see in Smash. Although seeing the video is over I have two things to say, Poyo and *Hug!*
Not quite hearing what you are in the music, sadly. As for Magolor in Smash... yeah, I can see it. He'd be a fun addition.
@@EnvoyofKairos Maybe it's my mind catching some similar sounds and the old Hamster Dance or as it probably should've been dubbed sped up melody from Disney's Robin Hood. I can't remember the exact name, but it was something Little John sang.
Starting an ice level, oh this will be fun to see. That spike ability is great, I'm surprised the previous levels didn't require it for any puzzles. Wow that shield challenge looked like it could've been a lot meaner than it was. I'm glad the slow scrolling room didn't have a Bulb to protect because the previous part was already hectic. Wait a moment this area is also a beach inspired so we have both ice and water here. Nice. Especially when we go after the water monkey Hydriath. Wait a moment, this version of Goriath brings in a water element maybe to tie in the fact that these two bosses look like they could've been found relaxing in a hot spring at the top. Plus another at the bottom of the arena and we jump out for the fruit slice especially after fighring a water boss. It's nice to see one of the two making use of this element. Plus I don't remember if I saw this before, but Hydriath has a fish tail on his back now it looks like a fish with arms, legs and the monkey face. LoL! The video is already over. These levels go by so fast, but it was still a lot of fun to watch. Poyo for victory.
I would say Hydriath is a Sea Monkey joke, but I don't think Japan has a concept of those, since they were an American product that was just a kind of really tiny shrimp.
@@EnvoyofKairos I'd heard about Sea Monkies but never got curious to look up what they were. Although if we see Hydriath in any future games it would be funny if he had some shrimp themed followers or more fish fused with monkeys. The level might even joke that he's looking for to fighting a monkey king who could be Wu Kong or a counterpart.
Today was actually not as rough so better day means time for a reward of double Magolor levels. Poyo! Instant full magic, our opponents won't be getting away from this attack. Kaboom! Protecting the Magic Bulb challenge. Wow I forgot a lot about the epilogue. Time to test out the new upgrades for Magolor's power. Oh a nice bonus for keeping them safe, awesome especially when we go from one to another so the level had to give more Magic Points somehow. Extra bombs upon upgrading for Magolor very helpful and has me wondering what the upper limit is. Dash attacks, always helpful. Unless we have the wall of doom behind us and annoying obstacles on the ground getting in the way. On a different note, I like how in Magolor's levels we get to see a range of the different sizes for the enemies. It's interesting seeing the tiny ones. Fiery Puffer maybe volcanic, but he's going to cooked by our magic. Initial tries helps to learn what he can do and then we'll be back. Oh look we got another slice of fruit. These bosses are now starting to be a challenge, but if Kirby had to fight both versions of the boss at once that would be a mega challenge. Next up more Magolor. Poyo!
Well, not at once, but there is the True Arena gauntlet where he has to fight both of them alongside every other boss in a row... And still proud of how I edited that as the last video for this game.
@@EnvoyofKairos I was thinking about Kirby fighting both Puffers at once and I was thinking that would be a tough one. Although being reminded of the True Arena has me excited to rewatch it.
mommy? sorry-- she's so heckin' PRETTY dude. I absolutely adore her design on every level. ♥ I need more Rouge content in every game for the future! Heck, the music you picked out is pretty spot on 👀
Well, considering all the character improvements in Frontiers, I'd say it happening for Rouge is inevitable.
Let Rouge kick again!!! Going through the games again made me realize we really haven't explored Rouge a lot, especially her portrayal in Shadow Generations. Shes always kinda been in the background, which kinda fits her character but there's only so much you can lean on that before people start getting curious, and I'm definitely getting there.
Well, recent developments have proven they intend to explore other characters again, so I'd say we're on the right track.
Time for the thief of Team Dark. We're on the second team member. This new design is great. Using Shadow's old ring for his long braided hair is just a perfect addition. The studs in her ears feel like part of her way of incorporating Omega along with the extra armour. They're also to wear some of her gems, that would make sense for her to have some shiny jewelery. Siren Call attack, yep that makes a lot of sense. I'm surprised the canon series didn't think of it. Bats use echolocation so why not let Rouge have it too. New kicking attacks looks great and the idea of more characters affected by Chaos energy just makes sense. So I'd think gaining new abilities would be something the Sonic cast of characters should see happen. If Chao can be changed, going Super, and acting as power sources these gems help to shape and change the world around them. Taking on the abilities of a regular bat and/or a vampire would be something cool to see. One thing I'm surrpised Rouge didn't add to her abilities is getting her own gun, maybe something she took from G.U.N or Eggman. or she had one of Shadow's old one upgraded to fit her style. Maybe even have it able to set off a smokescreen for a quieter means to distract a target and sneak up on them to use one of her new powers or just grab something withour the target aware. Next time Omega will become a titan this has me very curious what you're going to share. Until then I think I'll be checking in on Madeline as she continues her journey in Celeste.
Sonic gets new powers ever other game, the rest of the cast needs to catch up. As for Omega, he'll be in two weeks. Next week is something special for Mesopas... although, you may want to be a little careful watching it.
@@EnvoyofKairos More Mesopas awesomeness. And I promise to be very careful. Then Omega the following week, huzzah. ^w^
I got no joke this time. This is just a good design
And nothing compared to the next one...
@EnvoyofKairos Oh boy. I can't wait to see what you've got for Omega
Using Last Surprise from Persona 5 for Rogue the Bat was a great choice! I like the idea of her being an energy vampire after years of hanging around Shadow, but could she incorporate that chaotic energy into things other than her "Siren Call"? That would be interesting to see. Also LOVING the hair braid. Maybe she could use that as an attack as well? (Case in point, Bianca Bel Air from wrestling. During her early days she would use her long braided hair as a whip) And next time we have Omega which should be HIGHLY interesting since he hasn't been having many in-game appearances lately, except as an NPC or something along those lines.
Expect Omega to be a huge upset! But you will have to wait an extra week, I have something special coming next week. As for ROuge using her braid as a weapon, I can see it, but it's much more efficient for her to use her legs, since we've seen what she can do with them.
@@EnvoyofKairos Something special next week you say? Color me intrigued... Rogue using her legs is definitely more efficient with using her legs, no one would expect her using the braid...
Magolor's thene park mini game challenges having a hundred to complete. Wow that's a lot more than I thought there would be. Also Cone Mouthfull mode mask is hilarious while seeing an Awoofy mask has me grinning. To bad we couldn't find a Awoofy running around the park. Now it's time for the Magolor Epilogue. Time to collect orbs of magic and defeat more Doomers. As a puffin once said, "No fear." The stages here just feel like fun relaxing areas. I wonder if this could've been an idea they dropped from the original. I am just so excited getting to see you play it. I hope I get to someday. Ordeal Doors, this Magolor is your chance to try a variation of Kirby's ability doors. Time to head in and see if you too can pass the test. Plus collect a nice collection of Magic Points. This episode is so just flying by it's a little tricky to think of silly things to say....Until a wall barrier shows up and chases us. Dang it, I thought we'd escsped them. Electricky Dooter, now this is a bit more interesting than the original version. Both in ability and name. Unfortunately since we are working with Magolor, this Dooter is still in trouble. Episode is over, but it has me excited to rewatch these levels, Poyo. It's going to be fun seeing Magolor regain his abilities.
I actually wanna replay this game mode now, it was a blast. Make me hope to get more like it in an upcoming Kirby game. Maybe give Kirby skill trees for each power to upgrade instead of the smithing system Forgotten Land had.
@@EnvoyofKairos Maybe all the stars we collect for extra lives could be put to both more lives and skill points. That would be a fun idea.
Landia time! With Water Kirby by our side it's time to takr on this challenge. Also having water while fightinf over a volcano makes sense. The usual lava blocks change when Water Kirby surfs by so this feels like we're keeping the arena from breaking apart. Oh and seeing Kirby surfing into a wall, but still taking out the health was great, I've got a big smile from this. At 3:31 I noticed the shocked eyes of King Dedede and I almost feel like his design got updated in Deluxe because I don't remember his shocked face being that silly. The tiny dots almost feel like his eyes are going to act like Cookie Monster's and bonus around. Or maybe it's due to the fact that Kirby, Bandanna Dee, and Meta Knight all have similar eye shapes while the penguin does not. Even Magolor has the same oval shape. Time to switch up who our allies are. We fought against each other and now we're allies. Are we secretly part Goku. Enemies into friends. Similar patternand both Goku and Kirby love food. Uh oh I better halt there before I go to far into this rabbit hole. On a different note I realized that the blue in Kirby's eyes is the same as Landia's they're blue eyed buddies. Although sadly this is a blue-eyes red dragon. Doomers, bah you're going down to Landia's fire. Also I never knew, or maybe I just forgot, that a full charged attack from Landia fires behind us before we get to Magolor and the Dark Lor. I used to mostly depend on rapid fire shots. Now i feel silly. (Post Kat from the Dark Lor battle: Okay I feel sillier now and know I forgot. All because the backwards attack was needed when the Dark Lor goes behind us.) Oh floof, I forgot the giant prism got funky here. Either tbis got enhanced on the update or thanks to it being before the seizures I can't remember if the original had the game that sharp. (Sorry for the grumble I just had two long seizures that is making me a bit jumpy.) Time to hide until we get to fighting Magolor and the Dark Lor. ... *Facepalm* By Lunarstar, how did I not notice several things about the names. First Magolor has Lor in his name so he and the ship matched. Lor might be short for lore as in story telling. Magolor shared a story with us when we met on the ship. Then when he got the crown and the ship also was affected. We have Dark Lor, a dark story. *facepalm* That's both brilliant, creative, and sneaky with how this little bit of foreshadowing is right there always in front of us. Part of me is disappointed I didn't notice this sooner. Now I am curious if some of the same clues could've been found in Magalor's name. *one wiki check later* Wait his name is Magolor? Oh opps and let's see. Huh? The name has a completely different meaning than I expected. Especially when mixing in the Hyness language where Lor means place, so Magolor's name may be false paradise per the wiki. Okay Magolor time to face off against Mecha Kirby. Oh you want to float right where we can get you with our cannons. Thank you. Hehe. Do it for multiple rounds thank you. Now we get Super Fire, I like this better than Monstrous Flame it just feels fun to say. Oh yeah send in the fire dragons. Followed by Flare Beam. We'll send your attacks away with one shot. Then have our attack right where Magolor teleported to. That's perfect! Then it's Nitro, huh how did I not remember this, shrug, Super Sword. Time to slice through the last of his shields. Time for the next phase and yeah I agree this music is awesome. It feels like a song that will make one think of Kirby. It's got the playfulness but also gets you wanting to win the battle. Blue fire dragons, dang to bad we didn't get that version. Maybe we can hug one of ... Opps then we fall. I had bad timing with that thought. Second try and Kirby has mech powers. Oh yeah Magolor is going down. Yep and time for the turn of the good Lor Starcutter. Huzzah! Although I am sad to see the Lor and Landia leaving. I hope they get to come back again soon. Especially Landia they're fun and Kirby have a dragon/hydra buddy. Great episode to watch and has me curious what type of adventure Kirby will take on next. Hopefully that will be announced soon.
I suspect we'll see another game announced in April with the Switch 2 Direct.
That opening elevator segment when it added the spinning fire bars with lava blocks along the edges to keep us on the platform had me just hoping Kirby wouldn't bump anything. Unfortunately the rolling lava bolders did cause trouble first taking away ice and then mech. Are we sure the game wasn't actively trying to make Kirby go into the next room without any abilities? Oh no, not another high jump room. Thinking about it now, I'm not sure which I find more painful high jump or that boot. It almost has me wanting another round of the tetris squishing room challenges. *facepalm* Why did I write that, almost the very next room we get a line of walls that try to squish and got Kirby. Guess something in my mind wanted me to not remember then find this. At least the water ability teamed up with the cannon is fun to watch. All the blocks and foes just went boom. Grand Hammer can send the large enemies into the screen. Dang I thought we'd hit some before with super abilities but this is the first one that hit the screen. Plus they looked like we turned them into paper. Loved it. Is it just me or does it seem like the game is throwing a lot of ice type Sphere Doomers at Kirby in the late game? I feel like that's become the main one we keep seeing. It's not a bad thing, but it's surprising how often they're appearing instead of some of the other types seen earlier on. Wow game that second cannon shooting Kirby into the quickly closing path was mean. It looked like a great shot at the start. Thankfully the next room isn't as evil if we ignoring the incoming meteors. Plus it offers many abilities. Time for the trial of the tools. We had cannon earlier, then boot, and now horn shield. Best item to both defend and take out opponents. Ultra Sword a perfect way to take out all mini bosses that try to get between Kirby and our goal. Unfortunately our super power says zkirby shale pass this challenge. Finally different types of Soomers. A fire and a...hm I don't remember what the purple one was. Time for a quick search. Apparently they're the type to not give a power. Wow that's a surprise. I bet if the poison ability was available that would be what the purple ones would be. At least the pair fall quickly before the might of Water Kirby. That last bonus door dropping us onto extra stars and health is something I keep feeling surprised by since bro and I never found that when we played the game. It's a fun surrpise, but still has me wishing that max extra lives could reward Kirby with something nice. Maybe evem more stamps for the Magalor theme park or new masks. Next time we face Landia and things take the usual surprising turn, but Kirby has a plan. Is it cake, nope it's a *Poyo* for victory. After things calm down then cake. ^v^ No one gets between Kirby and his cake.
High Jump is certainly a lot worse than the boot. It's controls are absolute ass-tier.
I'm sorry hero but your princess is in another castle. As soon as I saw we were in a castle I couldn't fight the joke. Thankfully we didn't run into a talking mushroom at the front entrance of the place. Although if one appears after the boss I will laugh. Sudden magnet appears. Oh my gosh and I recently made a joke about Kirby and a magnet. Oh the timing. When you mentioned the music from Inscription I had to pause a moment before realizing yeah it is sounding similar. Wow. At 10:59 the room where multiple things blew up almost looks like they reveal another code, but its hard to tell if they're all numbers or if one of them is a letter. Very curious game. The screeching character made me jump, but not as much as the toy suddenly attacking. Although for a brief second I thought it had a bear's head. Thank goodness it didn't. Okay, hold on, if the game's musician was locked in the cave and is a boss, does this mean each of the bosses we've faced were once members of the staff that created the game? If so, yikes and I'm glad they've run off. Maybe when we win the battle they realize what's happening and want us to defeat the game hopefully freeing them plus thr other captured people from this world too. Or maybe they're regrouping in order to get help in the next rematch. Whatever the case, wow this boss has a very dangerous arena, but the bedroom side of the fight has me hoping we find his shadow and blast him outta here. The saying we're jumping at shadows works here, because that shadow had me wanting to find it fast. Holy floof that flashing room where you mention a concole was evil. Hopefully we don't have to visit it to many times. The last easter egg has me wondering that was an odd catfish or giant silver fish that's unable to move. At least they didn't hurt us. Here's hoping the next area has some more clues on what to do later.
Oof, right, quite a bit of flashing in this game.. I hope it's not causing you any trouble.
@EnvoyofKairos During the rooms with only one flashing bar I can usually cover the screen but if there's more then I'm hiding and hoping I don't start. That last room was the strongest one I'd seen. If more rooms do that again I'm going to have to hide from the screen.
@@KittyKitty_FantasyDreamer Sorry... I'll make sure the next game is a lot easier on ya.
@@EnvoyofKairos Thank you. *Hug* And you don't need to apologize. Some games just like to be troublesome and then there's my own stubbornness in wanting to see new games even if I should not be looking at them.
I was curious as to what your reaction to the piano in the kid's room was going to be and it didn't disappoint. Also there is one Easter Egg that you missed back at the beginning of the game, which if you don't know about then you're screwed. The next area (The Temple / Ruins) is the only other area that legit spooked me. (The Red Mansion creeped me out as well)
Oh don't worry, I got the true ending.
@@EnvoyofKairos The Good Ending, or the Secret ending?
@@ryukaze7392 Secret ending.
@@EnvoyofKairos alright.
Poyo look out Kirby, this factory is trying to squish you. Time to grab mech and blast our way through. The tetris squishing room is probably my least favorite challenge due to early tries and bro when he was trying to be "silly". That extra life was a troll to me too. Thank goodness it respawned to help boost the life counter as though the event never happened. Time to face Mech General against the mighty Mech Kirby. Although I will say it's to bad that Mech General gets what I think is a beam sword and Kirby does not. At least they're good moments to hit the boss with multiple laser shots. One reason it's not always easy to visit Landia. There's so much lava in some of the parts of their home it's going to take a bit. Hey that lava geyser took away mech. Rats. At least the flowers are giving a lot of ice cream. And not long after you request water ability a Water Galboros appears. Timing. Oh and super ice, time to bowl our way to victory and another Doomer. Oh and this one is an ice type too. Sorry, but that won't save you from Kirby. Dang, the video is over. Oh well that just means more for next time. Until then more Celeste.
Every time I see a Kirby enemy with a beam sword, I miss Crystal Shards' combo system.
@@EnvoyofKairos Ditto and that was such a fun game. I really hope we can have more characters from that game appear in a future game.
Kirby and the wind, ugh this one won't even let us back track. Wow, no wonder the episode felt like it was flying by quickly the first time around. Rock statues of any size fit in small areas. Dang this one is very overpowered. Thank goodness the rock punch was added since only changing into a statue isn't always helpful. At least we could become a rock in Crystal Shard and not get hurt that way unless we fell down a pit Super Beam or Flare Beam is so much fun. Plus even this ball of light sends enemies flying towards the screen. I'm surprised you didn't pick Mech against the Ice Doomer. Hm, hammer is still fun to use too. Oh and we start with fast water, first wind then water. That would definitely make another stage go quickly. Oh no, my memory reminded me of something silly. I'm not sure if you ever saw the movie Flushed Away, but seeing so many snails/slugs in this underground area. Especially when we are swimming, it has me thinking of the singing slugs from the film. The one song that alwayd pops up first is Mr. Lonely. I don't understand why this happens when I only watched the film once and it was only an okay film for me. Thank goodness the Squeak Squad wasn't hiding in this area because then I would really think Kirby was referencing the film. That button behind the waterfall was mean, the game tries to make it seem like we need bladed boomerang, but Mecha Kirby was the best option. Another great ability for this game. Hopefully we see it return in whatever adventure Kirby goes on next time. Water challenge just reminded me that Kirby has the Fountain Hover attack this game. That's fun to do and seeing it used to take down multiple enemies in a row just makes it even better. My thought on the last Bronto Bert is that they felt relieved to still be around when Kirby completed the challenge. I can even see them wiping their forehead once the screen went dark. Next time we'll be getting to see Landia again. That's going to be a great time Poyo. Until then time to check back in with Madeline and her climb up the mountain.
Mecha is just absurdly overpowered. Every time the games have a versatile skill that can cover the puzzle mechanics of multiple other skills, it's one of the best in the game both for exploration and combat. Also, Mech was only made for the remake, so the puzzles weren't made with it in mind, so it kinda breaks a lot of them...
Yeah now that you mention it I could only see Shadow really adjusting his combat equipment and powers. I feel like the Twitter Takeover really emphasized that too
Indeed it did.
Huzzah, let's go Shadow! When mentioning the shoes originally having a metal underside I think I thought of a reason for it. Sometimes when Shadow runs it almost looks like he's skating, especially on metal floors. Maybe Maria wanted to create skating shoes with the boosters to assist in speed and control of movements. Shadows themselves do have moments of looking like the glide from one spot to another or I'm just feeling a little silly. On the other side of the coin I really like the new design you came up with for the shoes. The scarf is fun and will add another color for the spinning attacks. The inhibitors looks great and I love the details on them. New weapons from Chaos energy, that's fun and maybe even a blaster/gun of some kind. That could even be a reason for a lack of extra weapons on his person. The Shadows along the sides of the picture give me xhills since they look like they're about continue their attacks or movements any second. Great work and I can't wait to see what Rogue's and then Omega.
Both of them are done and ready to go, so ya don't have to wait long. As for Shadow's shoes, yeah, he always skates for higher speeds, but that's no excuse for walking around on noisy metal soles. Gotta be terrible for his ankles, anyway.
@@EnvoyofKairos Very true and sneaking on metal shoes wouldn't be that quiet either. So the change is definitely something he could use.
To bad the game only allows the quests for the minigames to count in Magalor Land. There's tickets over each minigame in the ship so I think it should still count. I know that mech feels like it should be the only meain ability for the first level of this episode, but several enemies just make me want bow and arrows here. Maybe even the double sided light saber ability. Monster Fire is always fun to watch. Let the fire dragons fly. Ninja Kirby triple slice for the Win! Rock Kirby can ignore both fire and electric cannon, wow my brain decided to be silly. That's awesome seeing the statues just ignore the cannon shots. I just had another realization about a number of factories in Kirby. Many love to have rooms where a lot of explosive enemies make the journey rhrough feel like we're Samus trying to escape an exploding planet. Considering several games include a Samus statue I bet this idea is on purpose. Leaf Kirby is just to good. Leaf storm while walking across a room and when in danger just hide in a leaf pile. This ability would be in danger is ice or lava levels could damage our ability or just weaken Kirby. However that is not the case and I hope this ability never leaves. Poyo.
Ya know, now that I think about it, I can't recall there ever being anything that superseded rock kirby's invincibility.
well... Shadow truly does Live and Learn, and makes All Hail him with his power and desire to protect the earth. Then again Shadow does have the Black Heart of the Villain due to his Heritage, but the Brave Heart of a Hero due to his _choice_ on who he is. Jokes aside, this is so damn good. I love the way his inhibitor rings look, not to mention his green scarf just fits! and once you brought up the Rider Kick I now want to see Shadow with a badass belt just to hold onto a gun and some extra gadgets.
I suppose a belt might have been a good addition.
wait...are you going to be doing all characters from Sonic Heroes at this rate? If so, that's gonna be interesting and awesome. Cannot wait to see what happens when we "Fly in[to] the freedom (Hopefully we can get Blaze the Cat as well? One can hope)
Well, nothing for Big sadly, I had no ideas for him at all. Considering options for the Chaotix, though!
@@EnvoyofKairos I don't blame you having nothing for Big seeing as not many people like him or his gameplay in the first place...
@ Well, that, and he'd not enough of a character to give character development and changes to during a timeskip.
@@EnvoyofKairos exactly.
I can't believe I didn't mention this last time, but I never knew about the secret door at the beginning of the level. That's a fun secret especially when it gives more ability options plus a Maximato in a box. Time to take on mini bosses. King Doo, you might work for King Dedede, but your beam is no match for Water Kirby. I did not remember the around the world beam attack, but it makes me enjoy beam more now. To bad the Kibble Blade and Gigant Edge shared a spot when defeated. That randomizer for the abilities felt like it knew you needed an ability to cut the rope and actively chose a ability that can't cut. Thankfully next time around and it was much easier to collect. Sword Kirby works perfectly although when you said, "I'm dropping sword for ninja." My brain just thought, but ninja has a sword too so isn't this just an upgrade to sword because we get more weapons and mobility? Oh man seeing Hammer Kirby against Grand Doomer was awesome. I completely spaced that Kirby could use the charged hammer like that. Plus seeing Kirby knocking away the orb attacks was just perfect. We're sending it right back at you Doomer. Although seeing next phase Doomer slam down on Super Sword Kirby was just an oh come on moment. Next time Doomer, oh wait that time is now. First we grab Mecha and then blast you with overhead and laser attacks. Kaboom! Super Sword Kirby take two, opps I meant Ultra Sword. Time to slice this Doomer open and take back the sails. Although writing this makes me wish the Doomer screams could have hidden a warning to Kirby about Magalor. That would've been a fun addition, but maybe for a different game. Seeing the Mecha challenge again. Oh what can I say but how, that last bonus room challenge didn't make much sense. Plus all of the challenges can be platinumed. Those runs must like everything is pixel perfect. I can't imagine what those scores look like. On the other hand, when Kirby saw Landia the first thing Kirby would think of is food. Or at least fo you think they like cake, Poyo? Do not fear Kirby, you'll all be getting more cake soon.
I still haven't platinum'd them all because it is indeed pixel perfect and a total pain in the ass to do.
Parasol plus extreme winds and jumping up to climb the tower equals a tricky trial until we change out the ability. For a while it was scary seeing Kirby getting pushed towards spikes thank goodness for boomerang and sword appearing. I just had an idea after seeing the spark cannons while you have Beam Kirby. What if Beam let you guide the electric attack into a specific spot to unlock a secret? Or maybe just give Kirby a magnet to do the same thing. It would be an interesting twist for some puzzles. Super Hammer Kirby always fun although the owl jacks in the boxes sure were tricky when they refused to pop up where you needed them. Although seeing Kirby use the hammer to set pff a spring to fly up was great. The idea of bringing back Bell Kirby has me wondering what would an upgraded or super ability be like. Double slices of cake before leaving the level, Poyo for the win.
Actually, that take on the beam power reminds me of the PSI power you can get in Robobot...
