Shadow Generations: Dark Beginnings Episode 1 Reaction!
I have heard a bit about RWBY from my brother and decided it would be fun to check it out while getting more input from another fan. And this series has more surprises and spooks just from the ominous set up. Add in the whale that's part dock. Um I thought the characters were based on fairy tales, I guess this means the magical animals and more are not going to ve simple. I am getting curious about the characters when I read the little notes and hear your comments. This series has impressive character designs and I've only seen a small group in this opening. To add onto that last thought I'm going to take a leap and say these are the antagonist group. Oh man more impressive designs. I'm definitely going to need to get a look at the series from the beginning. Also is it just me or dod the pilot feel like her design is a fusion of Mrs. Hasagawa from Lilo and Stitch plus both Purah and Robbie from Legend of Zelda with a bit of Recovery Girl's too. Now that I wrote that my mind can't shake the silliness, which is helpful after a bad day. The jumps between what's happening during the conversation and when actively trying to fulfill the plans that's a bit jarring. However it allows us to know what the group are going to do once they have the plans made and aren't as likely to try doing a mega split of the party. That hospital scene feels like it's showing some possible future help to the main team while showing some really dark twists in characters one would hope wouldn't turn on others. Oh boy is this my jumping in and trying to make a decision. On the other side of the coin, seeing ourittle Red Riding Hood weilding a giant scythe to fight off the creepy wolf/grimm monsters, that's impressive. The pair of white haired characters has me curious what their story is. Also the characters maybe based on the brother's Grimm fairy tales, but I hope we don't see almost all the characters being given a tragic story. I'm definitely interested in checking out more of these RWBY videos so I can't wait to see what the doctor made for the cast. I'm also hoping the team trying to activate a positive clearance get that working.
This game's a damn rabbit hole. Highly recommend playing it yourself before watching any playthroughs if you like 'puzzle metroidvanias' like Outer Wilds or TUNIC.
Time to revisit the ghostly wolf. Oh floof anothet ghostly dog has appeared and since we grabbed some type of disk both are after us. Oh it's a frisbee, I guess someone wants to play. That's both cute and spooky. Especially when some rooms make it hard to dodge. On the other side of the coin, I love hwo the frisbee actively works to get back to the player. That's a fun thing to watch. Ah rats, the idea of having the wolf near the four statues was definitely wrong, but after seeing how long you were chased I'm now wondering if anyone ever tried playing the game with the wolf continually chasing the player into other parts of the game. Kangaroo, daw they're so cool. Now I'm really curious what this statue is looking for. I doubt it's for us to make a bubble. That feels to simple unless they can upgrade an item we have or will find. The crow attack really made me jump. Yeah they feel a bit Bakugoish without the explosions, but that attack was just as strong. And that explosion our slime friend set off wasn't as jarring although I am very appreciative it didn't feel as flickery as the sparklers do. That fishy warp pipe was a long ride. I am so curious about this world's history of why the pipes are like that and about the animal statues. Did other slimes set this up or is something else happening? The glow worm room felt like we got to be outside and see the night sky even though we're underground. Also yikes those birds don't look friendly and to make things worse I think one of them thinks we're food. Hey it's the squirrel again. Ah we can't get to them get. We'll be back squirrel. Oh cool new item, Animal Flute. Yes we got a magic flute. Yay and it also unlocks a different fast travel set up. Huzzah and as long as we remember where each animal mask is that makes that room even better. Ah floof the episode is over already. I'm excited for what will happen next. Also I love the addition of the items you get on the thumbnail it's fun because going in I wasn't sure what they were. Now I'll be looking forward to what will appear on the following thumbnail too.
There's sadly no concrete answers in the game about how this place came to be and why, but a lot of terms and concepts used have been studied to extrapolate some potential answers... Might go over that in the description of the finale.
@@EnvoyofKairos Oooo, yes please.
Fast travel for the win!
Always necessary, any open world game without one is awful.
@@EnvoyofKairos definitely. And something tells me that to cancel the Wolf Spirit, that you have to put the real frisbee back and the game lets you keep the "mock disk" in order to move on. Honestly thought you had to bring it back to the four main statues in the middle and it would possess the statue but it seems like that's what the four flames are for.
@@ryukaze7392 Well, you're close. but this game has a lot more layers of mysteries than you're expecting...
@@EnvoyofKairos I bet.
By the moon and stars this game looks gorgeous! Seeing the chains and plants move is so much fun. My only complaint is the firecrackers and being sad the wolf attacks us. Apart from that this game looks like it's a blast. Especially with us awakening from a plant I'm very excited to see what happens in this adventure, but first let's try to catch that squirrel! Although with so many squirrel statues around that might be a clue that they work for the quartet who have the larger statues. Plus we've run into a spirit wolf and a giant sea horse that's using Bubble attack. Our little slime friend gaining the power of bubbles is fun, but combined with the fans. All I want to do is cheer as we go flying. Huzzah! Fishy bubble quick travel, I thought we were going to jump from the statue into a secret passage above it. Nope it was the entrance to pipes. This character just becomes more impressive the farther in the episode I go. All the excitement for what the eggs unlock, and what else will happen. Part of me is curious if the disk we tried to take from the wolf spirit might need to be brought into the room with the giant statues. Unless we need to take it somewhere else my curiosity is piqued and I'm mega excited to see what surprises are unlocked.
This game is chock full of mysteries like that, secrets all over the map, and then some. Actually, the final secret ending took an entire discord server of expert players and theorists to figure out!
Man this game is so cool and weird. I need to get back to playing it myself.
That you should! Phenomenal game.
@@EnvoyofKairos Going to! Thanks.
well...that fox/wolf/dog spirit thing scared the shit out of me and I loved the added sound effects with the "Oh shit!" and "Crossfire!" jingle there.
Yeah, I really need to do more edits like that.
@@EnvoyofKairos definitely. I know nothing of this game, but something tells me it isn't going to be a long game.
@@ryukaze7392 Longer than you'd think.
@@EnvoyofKairos good to know!
P03 forcing the other character just feels sad, but then seeing a picture of a Stoat in the othet shop just feels like a big shock. I think seeing that picture near the nature area might have made more sense to me, but at the same time oh look a real stoat has appeared. Orange fishy picture. As we get to hear more about your book has me curious and now planning to get it before the holidays, if I can. P03's comments on Leshy being a jerk is sad, but I am surprised at the compliment on how good the pictures are. So the final four bosses was P03's means to get the creator of the game to unknowingly give P03 more power ans access to the outside world. Oh Floof, without Omnimon and a shit ton of emails to slow down P03. *sigh* Wow Leshy that was a spooky way to disconnect P03 from what he was up to, but at the same time yikes. This graveyard scene is unnerving. Especially moving the different names into a tomb. I like the fact we get to spend time with Grimora and even get time to having fun playing different games with us. Oh cool we get to see her set up for a what if she was in control. Now this has me curious about what the area would look like if Magnificus had been the one to have this final moment with us. Her version of the scale is set up like a little Skeleton character that moves a bit, maybe it's because of reading a Nightmare Before Christmas story, but that's a very creative and slightly cute idea. However the skelly hand pulling the rope for the bell that's a bit more spooky for me so I'm just glad we didn't hear a bell at that point. She almost mentioned the name of the code theory you suggested I check out. That's going to be first thing after sending this note. Dang it Grimora! A mask for your boss fight?! Really? Plus that accordion music nearly had me jumping off my bed in surprise. It started so suddenly, I wasn't expecting that, but the handshake of farewell was a bittersweet moment. She will be missed. Leshy is here? Maybe this means we'll get to see Magnificus too. Oh man, with a quote from the aong Time in a Bottle by Jim Croce, although the Muppets version is my favorite. Opps I got distracted, but using the line here once again the game gives us a bittersweet moment. Having Leshy mention sensing the end is near, part of my brain knows what he means, but at the same time I can't help thinking of the final boss in Sonic Frontiers. I mean he did try to throw a moon at us. Similar idea of something from space and the player wins. Things start going away slowly, before just leaving another handshake. For all the creepy events, thanks for the game Leshy. And then there was one, but Magnificus doesn't sound too happy about the disk being deleted. I understand being concerned about death, but dude in act one I could imagine you giving us this plan. Why are you acting like this? By the moon and stars, we're going to use a duel disk Yu-Gi-Oh style duel here? Oh man this is just too cool! I accidentally paused before he could call it that, but floof that just makes this surprise even better. I wasn't expecting this to be what we find when I initially asked about getting a what if Magnificus was in control. Maybe he has more fear of deletion because we chose to try to take his place in round two? Then oh...the cards art style is just wow. Part of me is really curious what the whole game would look like if we had this art style for all four card types as both cards and models. It feels a lot more like a Yu-Gi-Oh style game like this and I'm enjoying it. Although with the number of life points, where I am in the duel I don't think we'll get it down to 0. The moon, Magnificus is painting the same moon from acts one and two because he really doesn't want to fall. Although seeing him not summon it was a mega surprise. The static flickering lines I also should've forseen. No handshake here, but I think that makes sense especially when he wants us to die along with everything if he must go. Oh dang, new art and gameplay style. I really hope that going into that card shape was the only thing we could find because if there were I'd be scared of having another mega flash like what it juat did. Then uh indeed and a meep would go along well here. Well that's one way things can go and I thought he was going to survive. I hope that he can in the true ending although even if he escapes the game that employee might just do a repeat of the first timeline. I am both spooked, but I am also happy I was able to watch this let's play. Thanks for sharing this adventure. I'm not sure what to watch next, but I did notice a playlist for Beyond Galaxyland with some videos that didn't pop up on my suggest list. Would it be okay for me to watch or would you prefer I not?
Actually, I'm not enjoying Beyond Galaxyland and about to take those down and replace them for today with something far better. Also, good luck with the Karnoffel Code, it's...twisted.
Thank you thank you thank you!!! I was stuck in the 1st locked room - I didn't think to pull them towards the light, lol. Massive help! 🙏
Glad I could help! Seems this game is sorely lacking a tutorials- lot of stuff I couldn't manage to do either, sadly.
@EnvoyofKairos yeah, there really isn't much out there, hence my appreciation! I found a 100% map on Steam, but not much else by way of written walkthroughs, etc... I'm really liking the game thus far, but either it's hard AF or I just kinda suck, lol. The controls on the Switch version are throwing me a bit, so I've been oscillating between "Normal" and "Flexible" difficulties. I feel like such a fraud, haha - so, I respect your tenacity and integrity that much more! Anyway, thanks again! (...and sorry for word vomiting all over your page!)
@@justagirlandherphone It's fine, glad to have more comments from anyone! Been sorely lacking in them in general, really.
Body has been a good bit kinder today so time to make up for yesterday. Time for Golly to be taken down. I wonder what suprises will appear from their deck this time. A spoof of Earthworm Jim as Girthworm Jim oh my gosh that had me chuckling and smiling at the fun surprise. Then when the voice clip made the introduction, oh I needed this surprise and fun. Alright better stats...oh why did I write that just before we see a fourteen health card. Oh my timing. At least we're sticking around a lot longer and able to get the scale to not completely go over to our side. Round one victory...oh flip the name of the new card. LOL oh my moon and stars that name. A perfect follow to the last one that's been a thorn in P03's side. As soon as I saw Dr. was an option I knew you were going to pick that. Oh my gosh this episode just has me in a better mood. We get tp keep the card, awesome. I wonder if one of your friends had been playing they might've gotten the card or the gamr just wanted to randomly send it to anyone playing. Unless that was just the game pretending to send it off, but always intending for you to get it. After a delay by seizure time to complete this episode. Round two may have had some surprises including some spooky card combinations, but the fourth boss is down. With P03 looking absolutely pissed that we succeeded. Answering yes to the question we are not a robot has me wondering what the creators are up to. Yes in a factory run by a robot whose gone crackers, but why make that opening so easy? Oh, the other Scrybes this can go multiple ways and I'm hoping we wind up with a good outcome. Magnificus's voice sounds like a real whispering voice, but I can't fully make out the words. Although letting P03 think he's won, might not be a great plan. Continue to play yes, if we don't then nothing happens. Maybe I'm just over worrying. We at least have a plan and new pictures are appearing on the map. Curious. Next episode is the last and I'm hoping the takedown of P03 is epic. I'm looking forward to the next battle although I am curious if the purple/pink moon will make another appearance. I'm looking forward to what the last episode will include.
The custom card thing does indeed work, it just depends on if anyone else is playing that boss fight at the time. So when the game first released, that function had a lot of results.
Well there were many surprises here. A returning face from P03's factory, I think, then the stand in boss for the tech area was a surprise. I thought the symbols around her side of the arena was fun, but flipping heck so many buffs for the cards for your friends. Yikes. Although if I was playing jokes on them I would only have one friend through steam. Although seeing an army of my bro on the field might be a bit weirder unless the game panics and yells about not having enough options for their deck. Back to the video, wow that was cool how you got friends and your dad to send in voice clips for the episode. Hopefully the next episode taking down this boss. (Today's herx got worse so my brain was a lot less chatty. Hoping things calm down over the next few days. 🤞)
You rest up, take your time. As fo the voice clips, I've even found a few other uses for them since when editing other stuff, though mostly Ben's bit when editing his videos for him.
Well things are getting spooky especially the face bosses bot. For a moment I thought P03 wanted to look like disguised Mummymon because of the eye, mouth, and different face shape. Although the dark card shaped blip on P03's face has me concerned. Maybe it's nothing, but it could also be the data showimh through. Oh man second attempt and almost instantly our side gets multiple helpful cards. Nice. Round one this time no problem, time to try round two. Three rules, huh that's a surprise, but even with possible problems three bosses taken down. So the shop in gem/magic area gives another clue, I wonder what that will unlock. Wait a moment and here's a new card. The tech version of oroboros. To bad we can't lower his summon cost more than once. The newest lore has me wondering if the files are from the fellow whose shorts we saw before. So much to learn and the questions it has me wanting to learn. P03 says not to worry about a free upgrade upon entry. Something feels wrong. Ah so the thumbnail was giving the information about the new card. It's been a while since the game lw the player make any new ones. I wonder if the puzzle with the picture of a card set up goes with this mingame or the player could've put one together like the picture by tweaking an alteady creator one. If it's here then wow I'm thinking the game was trying to force a not great combo, but as I mention below my brain isn't as happy right now and might be mis remembering what it wanted. I'm impressed the game would let us give the card four sigils. Also great name it's something we want to repeatedly say to P03 and Leshy. P.S. Just wanted to say my day left my brain a bit more exhausted and hurting than usual so this note will be a bit less chatty. Herx are not fun especially when they go into too much extra flailing or pulled around like a toy. Hopefully your day was a good one.
It's ok, you take it easy. As for the custom card, thanks, I still have a soft spot for it.
@@EnvoyofKairos *hug* and thank you.
These are so well thought out... That pokemon wheel guy has nothing on you tbh lmao Also, all of these guys can be brought to life with Cobblemon, which adds pokemon to minecraft with its difference from Pixelmon being that its fully vanilla style and you can add your own pokemon to Cobblemon relatively easily!
Would love to see that, buuut I can't understand the most basic coding, my autistic brain shuts down the moment I see anything above a basic equation.
I can't resist this joke, Digi Port Open! I probably should've waited until we got into the technology area, but it felt right to say here after the map wouldn't let you go anywhere without the gem bot. The map is allowing us to move freely again. So the symbols that were used with the magic cards are gems that can also be used for upgrades. Oh yeah that's mega helpful. (Post Kat dang it P03 made sure we couldn't double gem upgrade our card, aw floof.) Also our little robot friend beside our deck has added the gem chart, that's interesting. I wonder what else it will do. Oh huzzah for breaking the attempted cheat by P03. That sigil to return the Sniperbot to your hand, again huzzah. Take that P03, take this light arrow to the face. That detonator battle has me confused about P03, but he's not happy with us anyway so I shouldn't be surprised. I guess P03 is really channeling his inner GlaDos. (Also because my sleepy brain spaced on sending a note earlier I want to add it here.) I didn't realize that what P03's robots were making was the processed glitchy mass, or that it was turned into a card. Although it now makes sense why there was that weird glitchy dark spot on the board in that last act two battle. I guess some of what I missed hid behind the lost visuals. Also yay for Slime Buddy sticking around in all three acts. (I'm having to fight hard not to make a bad glue pun here. Time to unpause the video.) New character blocking the path and my brain just wants to call him Mr. Qi from Stardew. Although seeing him nust move aside without needing to battle has me curious if we already completed a hidden quest to do so. Or maybe they just wanted a chat. Whatevet it was, I hope he enjoys seeing what we're doing. Hehehe and the Sentry Bot becomes extremely powerful with the newest sigil added. P03 you're allowing us to do even more than you'd like to see. And I'm loving it. More lore, and it's supposed to be the last? Unless it's the last photo from that series and we might get one more? Although the fellow in the picture doesn't look like the same one from the previous one, unless my memory is being weird, I wonder what's going on. What's the story Wishbone? (Not sorry for that reference, I miss that series.) Oh really P03, you're commenting on who we chose to try to replace in round two? I'm betting he has some type of unique dialog for the other area bosses if the player chooses to try to replace a different Scrybe. Daw the episode concludes quickly after this. I can't wait to find out what that mystery item in the shop is and what the upcoming battles unlock. Until then, time for more Kirby.
I'd honestly say P03 may be worse than GladOS, actually. Also, thanks for the Digimon reference, there always needs to be more of those.
@@EnvoyofKairos Glad to share anytime. ^v^
There's a Cat in the thumbnail! I'm a happy camper. Okay I did read about it in the description, but as soon as I read that I had to do a double check. Then poof instant cat, I love them. ^w^ I like how you used twin layers of either gray or blue code to build the picture. I keep pausing the video to look at the cat. (I just got out of a seizure so I'm trying to be silly rather than being sore and seeing the surprise cat just made my night.) Okay back to seriousness, or at least some serious thoughts. Time to explore and try to find more secrets. Although the glitchy star is making it a bit tricky for some rooms. Oh a screen with the character who was not letting us cross the bridge in act two and was barking before. Except not here, I wonder what is the reason for that not being brought over for this arc. Unless the character is only meant to block access for certain areas then that would make some sense. Oh crud, I wonder if that gear P03 was waiting on before has to do with messing with Kaycee or some altered method that Leshy used to take over the previous time, unless P03 wanted to overwhelm the code to rewrite it in his own ideal reality. I'm loving how strong the multiple direction hit sigil is. I was very curious about it in act one, but oh man is it acting as a great buff in act three. Especially with all the overkill damage it helps get us. Awesome. Mote hidden lore found and with a picture of the one who wrote about the lore. It has me wondering if that's Kaycee or if the people in the picture are some of the Scrybes. Either way I am curious if we'll find more soon. I mean if El turns out to be Leshy or Magnificus has me very curious. For some odd reason I noticed the game seemed to slow down a bit when you were checking cards in your hand right before taking down a troublesome battle. Part of me wants to think this is due to P03 messing around with the game's code or maybe a hint that someone else is watching what's going on. Oh dang is that Sniperbot card getting some impressive combinations of sigils. Although the fact it looked like Angler/Fisherbot was about to have four sigils has me wondering if that's possible. If so, oh look P03 you gave us the ability to take you down with mega powerful cards. *feline smirk at full power* That spinning and flashing bot juat revealed the door from the first act. Does this mean the Leshy card is inside or something else is hidden back there? Slime friend, I wonder if the master you're talking about is Magnificus or Leshy or possibly Kaycee? My curiosity is growing. Also oh, another symbol so that makes two we've found hidden in act three. Bird wing in a clock and now dual hit with a math question. Either the symbols don't actually mean anything ans are just replacing something in a location or they do have meaning somewhere we haven't seen yet. Or I should've waited because the symbols appear for more math questions. I am a silly floof. Especially when we then find a spot to input symbols for a code. All the timing is happening here. The judging bar now has symbols similar to the magical cards, it looks like P03 is about to shake up the rules again when we go into the magic area. Okay P03 what's going to be the new rules now? Daw, the video is over, ah floof. I'm very curious what's going to happen next.
Ok, so P03 wasn't waiting on a gear. Ya may notice how all 3 of them had minions that were tasked with getting something out of the water. The fisherman, the crane operator, and the well watcher. The crane operator pulled that big glitchy mass out fro the depths, and it got processed into a card P03 played in his final boss battle of act 2. THAT was what put him in control- and it could do that for any of them, as it did before for Leshy. A fragment of The Old Data, information hidden in the core of the files that's arcane and frankly horrific. Also, the slime is the same one from act 1 and 2.
The item to give instant nano armour feels like we unlocked the totem for the third act. We couldn't get one for act two so it's nice seeing something like it here. Nee cards and sigils to learn about. That's fun, to bad the game jumped to give s card before we could find out about the other new sigil. Also wow is it always fun to read what the Angler/Fishbot has to say when in the hand or brought onto the field. However the battle after gaining the new card is giving quite the challenge. Oh man Angler/Fishbot is becoming a real threat to P03. Hehehe. I'm looking forwsrd to seeing what happens in the next battle. Oh man, seeing what P03 is doing to the Prospector really is showing the anger at everyone else. I could understand that this was the main first boss of the first map, but wow that's just sad. Especially when thinking only doing things perfectly is the point. Yay another beast transformation upgrade. Here we go Wizbot, more stimulations and a new form to feel like you're able to do something new. Oh and the item next to the deck has a symbol above it now. Maybe it's from the item to give instant protection. Oh heck, our cards are looking alot brighter and I almost feel like this is to counter the fact how much duller and lighter the color was for the original cards from act one. P03 what are you pulling here, I know you wanted this place to be dark, but this is getting a lot brighter. The new mechanic of taking a picture of the board and choosing between the previous setup compared to what is currently happening feels both odd, but interesting. I also see what you mean about having the bosses be weaker. Especially the one for the beast area. Thank goodness we could get another upgrade for the vessel cards. For a moment I was concerned P03 would try to avoid actually giving that reward. Also for a brief moment I almost thought I saw an arrow for a hidden room inside the cabin. After rechecking what I saw, it was another star off to the side. However huzzah two of the four bot bosses down and the mext two, I can only imagine the technology one will be tougher than the magical one. The tech boss and P03 will be ones I'd be concerned about. Until then I'm off to see more Kirby and Elfilin.
The finale's comin fast now, and the remaining bosses are gonna be a good deal more difficult. As much as P03 still hates Magnificus, I get the feeling he at least respects his intelligence and strategy.
Round two on the Archivist boss. Let's take them down. Oh and a bigger file would do more damage to him. Hm that's different from the initial thought of what the game was showing last time. Also thank you blurring affects because like yesterday I was feeling self conscious when the game opened that window. Seeing the scale tipping more from tbe files versus the regular battles is an interesting twist. It has me wondering if the following bosses use this strategy or something different. Before the game suddenly wants to delete something from your computer, wow that's something that makes me want to request an army of Digimon to throw Numemon at P03/Archivist. What the heck game? Thank goodness a few turns later down goes the Archivist. The upgrade to the Empty Vessel cards is a great reward. Before getting more lore. Oh dear, what news will be revealed this time? ... The first video feels like someone fell into a trap of "supposedly" just finding more booster packs. Come on I think I've seen traps that were less obvious in other series. The plot thickens when I get the feeling someone faked her death and is the same woman who was knocking on the door in a previous video. Or I jumped to the wrong conclusion and from what you said she's also in the game. As Shakespeare once said in Macbeth, "Something wicked this way comes." The green slime in the pipes could that be the same slime from act one or a different one from act 2 or someone we've only learned about from the bits of lore? Curious. I hope we can try to talk to them soon. The mysterious lore in a room has me wondering what it means. Hopefully we'll find more of them around the board...wait a moment. If the Archivist took that, why is it in the nature area? It doesn't make sense. If there are more than where did the Archivist take it from? The mysteries in this game are once again having me feel like I am both excited, but concerned about what we'll find. Hopefully some more allies soon. I'll be glad to see P03 either being taken down for good or brcome a nicer character again. If not nice at least not causing trouble for everyone.
Yeah, that woman hounding us is a reference to another of Mullins' games, and not the former employee we got the cards from.
First battle good then the gamr set up a powerful wall. Although hearing from the Angler that the other Scrybes are around has me wondering if Leshy will comment on being turned into a card. Also thank goodness we have more restart points unlike what Leshy gave the player. For some odd reason I think P03's cards look like they're either not stable or something is conducting electricity through them to give off sparks. I don't remember seeing that yesterday or earlier in the episode. After a quick look back, they weren't sparking. So that leaves one question for me, what's he planning now? Are the cards showing we have him more annoyed or preparing to try to electrocute the player for beating many of the obstacles? I like how the wishing well gives both a quill and some money when continuing to use the crank. I know I would've continued try for more items if I was playing. However the fact we found a quill in a place based off Grimora's domain has me wondering if we can get her card after signing the fishy sounding contract. Unless she's somewhere else we haven't found yet. (Post Kat here, the card for Grimora hasn't appeared yet so time to keep searching.) Although wow is P03 being a mega jerkazoid with his parody of Grimora. Not cool and not nice. This has me missing Leshy and his carved masks. Then giving us no choice when wanting a look at a hard drive. *cat squint look* Wow P03 I didn't realize your need to control also meant you would be so scared of us. Or if it's an attempt to make a unique computer scale balancing puzzle congrats game my head is now going ouch from trying to understand all of this. Will the scales do something else if we use a larger file? Looking into the player's actual computer feels like a breach in privacy. Especially since I've been taught about computer security from my dad. I also don't want to feel like I'm intruding on your privacy either. Try one against the crypt boss was tricky and gave a clue to how their battle works, but hopefully we'll see that scale challenge not be to hard to defeat in the upcoming episode. Part of me wants to keep going, but I think I'll visit Kirby. His adventures are always a great mood lifter.
Well, I think the bosses he's throwing us at are less of a parody of the other scrybes and... well, you'll find out in the endgame. Suffice to say, things are gonna get interesting.
(I'm going to try to do my usual style note because I need a mega distraction after listening to stress and yesterday having multiple seizures on top of eachother.) Exploration time, let's see what's in here. A picture of a card with symbols on it. Maybe something like one of the alters will help set up a card like this. Oh and static, maybe this is like in the first act? Plus with P03 mentioning more Scrybes the others have to be around. Time to see if we can find any of them. It is very curious that the same clock is present in the room. To bad the code for opening it isn't the same. Oh you for something to pop out but it won't us grab it. I guess instead of a new card we need to find codes hidden around in new ways. The code vaults in this place are fewer, but this time we seem to have found the wizard card or one of his apprentices. Hm and some of the different parts of the room almost look like parts of P03 own base. The floor in the side room looks like it could open up, but I am not seeing any machines to activate or deactivate it like in act two. Oh they changed the style of the puzzle for the machine. Nevermind. Oh the Angler is here as a card. It's starting to look like we'll get different allies this time around. The upgrade system in act 3 is a bit confusing because I forgot that instead of adding attack power or health, it only adds another sigil. On another note, having a unclickable extra star flicker on some of the map tiles makes me wonder if P03 is doing that on purpose or if something else is happening. The maps definitely like to include places to get lost or go in circles. For a robot that both makes sense for electricity getting to all places, but it also feels like P03 thinks we'll get ro a point we'll give up after running around without much progress. At least Leshy had better maps. Thank goodness for the battles getting easier. Hopefully we'll be able to take out a boss that P03 has created for us to fight soon.
gets a lot easier with our two new card there- their starting stats are pretty great, with some rare sigils that make some real interesting results in the right combos that can break the game. Although, the best card is still waiting in that clock...
Just noticed the backs of the new technology battle bot cards all look like floppies, although considering the main disk is a floppy it makes sense. Oh and the tool to delete a monster from our side of the field is still around. I'm a bit surprised by that, but it also brings along another feature added in the second arc. New cards and personality for P03 has arrived. With the added affect of being cards that will lighten the player deck s when he defeats any of our side. *Oh goody* and that's filled wjth a lot of sarcasm. Unless I misread the enough then I hope I did. At least we're allowed to finally look around the room because some batteries havr been used up. I'll be looking forward to seeing what we can find in this new room. Until then I'll be curious what new puzzles we can unlock. Sorry about the shorter note, I just got out of a double seizure that gave such a short break it's hard to know what to label it as. Here's hoping for more ways to demolish the ego of this insane Scrybe.
Ah the image isn't there, but tbe audio is clear, this was what you meant about the footage going weird. Although from the sounds of the opening the mini game challenges were a lot easier to defeat than the last one. Hearing what's happening with the third bot almost has me wondering if the data they were looking for somehow came from the previous two. Considering they allowed themselves to be de-assembled something from each might've gotten fused between when we battled them and approached the final assembly robot. Also thanks for including a time stamp in the title for the seizure warning. I think I'll play the video normally since I'm concerned jumping ahead might have the video start playing at the wrong spot. So I'll hide just to be on the safe side. With a few sneaks in to write some thoughts o what I'm hearing. From what I can hear before the footage returns when getting into a battle with P03 the music is almost getting glitchy. It's more than just machines at work it feels like something in the code is about to snap. Sounds like round one was made simpler by blasting the board clean before adding some new cards to your side then wiping out his first life. (I was tempted to add a Blinkin joke from Men in Tights, but felt it was a bit early for that.) Huzzah for the news of winning both rounds on the first try. Although now begins act three where P03 takes the stage of going coo-coo for cocoa puffs, once he gets his hands on the part he's waiting for. On the topic of Mothman, I'm starting to wonder if all the cards made it from act one into act two since the game adds so many new ones. Part of me almost feels like some either are hidden or really hard to regain. From the sounds of things when you go to the starting place either P03 or another character isn't happy about getting replaced. My mind almost has the worry that if we did choose P03 he might be worse in this scenario since he doesn't want to be replaced or have someone else more powerful than himself. I'm not sure who you're battling, but the return of the pink/purple moon on the board is concerning. Also thank you phone for giving me a means to cover the weird black spot on the board. Before covering the screen when the black lines appear. Whatever is happening act 3 is definitely going to switch things up big time. Oh flip, the fact P03 has a twitching affect on an eye makes him really feel like he's definitely gone mega coo-coo for cocoa puffs. It almost has wishing post Buu Saga Vegeta would show up to call out what's going on. Seeing the players left arm bound to the table is definitely scary and the fact the map leads back towards the player instead of towards the opponent almost has me thinking that's got some meaning behind it. Leshy wanted us to keep trying to approach then fail. On the other side of the coin P03 feels like he's showing us that we're still going to fail, while he keeps all the power. Also I see something by the deck I'm going to see if I can check out what it is. Nope still can't identify it. I don't think it's our right hand since that's holding the cards. Maybe that's something that will either help or hurt the player. It's occasionally moving when we are going to draw a card, but with how dark P03 has the room I can't tell. The new technology battle cards for the third round are definitely adding another layer of animation when they attack. I wasn't expecting that, but I'm not sure we'll be seeing any of the other Scrybes appear to try to assist in this part of the game. If I'm wrong I'd be curious what their new designs will be. Also is it just me or did the board that alerts you to the recharge points gain very creepy eyes between the first match and the second? Now it's watching and judging us. Okay P03 you were once an ally, but it's time we give you the same karma smack we gave to Leshy.
Yeah, P03 is obsessively manipulative and basically thinks he's the most optimal being in existence, and everything he believes and creates is perfect. So now that he's in command of the game, it's all about his vision, and railroading the player into completing it. And that includes closely watching and judging us constantly.
@@EnvoyofKairosIn some ways P03 is a lot like Zamatsu and more than Cell if I try making a comparison. In this way it has me thinking that getting to complete this part of the game is going to be a challenge, but will feel great when he's taken down for good.
@@KittyKitty_FantasyDreamer well, certainly a good deal of challenges in her, yeah, although I think the gameplay wise act 3 here is the weakest. Lorewise though, damn does this one get heavy.
Okay let's try to get through P03's area after opening some packs from the trader to upgrade our deck with more technology cards. Or we could head out and run into the Mycologists. Wow. Although I'm now wondrring where the Wood Carver is since we found everyone else that is possible to meet...unless they're the one who was barking while talking to the player? Thanks to the fusiona, the deck will be getting a lot of stronger cards. I just wish the table didn't make it look like the cards were bleeding when the event happens off camera. Oh this is a new twist the card to battery machines to open the path. Interesting especially when the first bot battle includes something similar with their technology cards. I don't think I saw anything like that with the cards you're collected. Hm a new mechanic and for some odd reason I only just realized that each area has a different game board to go with the different areas. However I think that the boards in the second half havr one less spot for a character card than in the first half of the game. I wonder why the game made that big of a change? Was it to limit how much one side can overpower the other or am I just looking too closely into this? Oh dang the game is back to giving unhelpful hands to start the games. Yikes. Until we pull out one of the newer cards and just clear the battlefield giving a lot of bones and a clear path to start attacking directly. Victory, but at a cost of our opponent just going away to help create a better bot. Once again yikes. Same with the second, P03 is really acting like Leshy did in the first half of the game. Although part of me is starting to remember the atory of 1/2 Prince and how a number of people were put into a game without memories of their original life. All because the big bad was using others to test something on a game world he made for a cousin. The main part of the story is a lot of fun with many silly events, but the dark spots from the story are starting to resurface in my mind. At this point of the game I'm hoping we can get the player to a better conclusion than being toyed with or stuck in a cycle. Part of me is hoping that if we can win against P03 he won't cause the game to crash, but I'm wondering if Grimora or Leshy will disappear during our battle against P03. I'll find out tomorrow.
Huzzah for the final Yar warrior found. I'm just going to call this one Mikey because of the orange eyes and think that in this universe Michelangelo is a lot more series. Possibly even the leader of the team. If we can have a series with Raphael in charge I'd like one with Mikey getting a turn too. Seeing a scorpion under water with a shield. I'm with Emi in this one. Nope nope nope and this is from someone who likes listening 5o water and seeing events underwater. Yay we got up that tall area. Although is it wrong I wish the reward was more impressive than just adding another drop to a defeated foe? A terminal upgrade had an limitless underwater breath upgrade. A different location for this would've made a lot more sense. The placement just feels like a last congrats this might be the last found after you already go through many underwater areas. Ugh. (Sorry for the snapping here my heads not feeling great and it's affecting my mood tonight.) All upgrade terminals on earth completed and all the warriors saved, I think I hear a boss fight drawing closer. At the same time try not to face palm at the silliness or denseness of some of the people of Yar. I'm really missimg Emi's old Yar friend. ...The floof? Emi calls Ong. Nerd and he barely acknowledges that he was insulted. Either he's ignoring it or he doesn't know he was insulted. I really hope we get to see him fall soon. Okay he just has an ego that makes him unable to realize he was used and the true problems are Commander Dramtic and the true bug boss of the game. The Qotile won't be winning against Emi, but first a game of...pong? We're playing pong. I do this everyday with my brain as the ball or at least that's how it feels. I'm sneaking a peak at this terminal and I'm just very surprised that the developers have this as our battle against Phillip Ong...on second thought his name spells out the game if we drop some letters. I feel like I should've seen this coming, but I didn't. We need to fight an alien god, hold on I think I know a bounty hunter who is constantly fighting off bugs and beings who think themselves a god. Maybe even get a star warrior for extra backup. Hey Samus. Do you think you and Kirby want in? No, sorry Emi this demigod is yours to fight. Also I'm starting to get the feeling Commander Dramtic's design was based on Aphellanx. As long as we don't see him change into Unicron then ai think this battle won't be as bad. Try one, just a warm up to learn some of his moves. That's fine. We'll keep going. Add in more health and then let's see this giant..fall? Wow with all the lights and bashing crystal attacking us that was nowhere as threatening as a demigod should be. Are we sure this guy really is part god? It's more like a machine that's still not fully online. That last conversation with Ong was funny how we wound up switching places in how the conversation went and we just cut him off. Emi, you're awesome. Time to get back to earth and break the initial target from the beginning. Bye bye portal, but first hello buddies. Anthony and Kyan great to see you both. Oh so she didn't break the target, I guess it's to keep the option open for a means to return. Razak was the planet name, dang my memory, oh well at least the Yar on Razak should be safer now. Although I get the feeling Emi's speech will leave everyone confused. I'll be crossing my fingers, with the hope that the four warriors find Ong and give the jerkazoid a nice taste of karma. As a game some ideas were fun, but I think some fanfic ideas of possible crossovers are more interesting. Especially if Emi and her friends are with the Hi-Fi Rush team, maybe Samus, or even drop her into the My Hero Academia world and see what chaos will ensue and she already has armour for combat. Oh no now that I wrote that I'd be curious what type of hacking Emi could do if working with Angus from Night in the Woods. Brain a few minutes ago you couldn't get full ideas and now you're just jumping from one possibly to another. *sigh* Oh well, at least we had fun on that bug planet, right Vegeta? Vegeta? *energy attack to the face* My fingers started with the oh and and just went from there. I hope this gave you a laugh. Thank you Dragon Ball Z abridged for that fun joke, it will never get old. Even if it wasn't a great game, I still want to thank you for sharing this gaming experience. As I said above it introduced a fun character and I really hope she can get a better followup. I'm also curious what game you'll be playing next.
Once again, glad to share. And yeah, I agree there's a lot of potential here, it's a colorful but flexible world, but really, it just isn't fleshed out enough or long enough to be satisfying.
that hackers comment in Phillip's monologue seemed tailored personally to Emi there... How many Atari Easter Eggs did you want in the game? WayForward: Yes. Edit: I just realized that Wayforward named him "Phillip Ong" so they could get the PONG reference in. That's great and ingenious and I love the 8-bit ending for the credits. Hopefully there's a sequel in the future because letting Phillip get away like that definitely does feel anti-climatic.
Yeah, but woulda gladly traded the reference in for a better finale and maybe a couple more hours of content. Again, this game is kinda cobbled.
@@EnvoyofKairos Yeah I kinda see that. I'm listening to your ranting about the game and can completely agree. WayForward deserves credit for working on this (and another property aka RWBY: Arrowfell) Hopefully they do get enough of a funding to do another game in this franchise because Emi was amazing as a character and her snark definitely carried this game. (Was she voiced by Christina Vee by chance? I saw her name in the credits but nothing official)
@@ryukaze7392 Nah, that was a newer VA, Jenny Yokobori. No major roles for her yet, really.
@@EnvoyofKairos Alright. Hopefully this lets her get some good roles because she killed it as Emi (even tying with Ericka Lindbeck's showing of Futaba from Persona 5 imo)
I love the Swarming ability, I never even thought about seeing more stuff like that. And Jinvisivile's lore is so cool and thought out!
Thanks! And there's a lot of similarly complex pokemon, coming still, especially since I have over 90 pokemon designed now (some not even introduced) and will be getting to legendaries soon enough...
The challenge of the three riddles impressive, but oh no the third student just has me really hoping we csn get out of here quickly. Plus I am now starting to wonder if the Scrybes have each taken a turn at trying to be the only one in controll. Especially if they've been through something like this with P03 being the most angry and Grimora the least. Thank the moon that battle didn't get dragged out and we can get out of this room quickly. Although seeing Magnificus's one pink eye when mentioning premonitions has me on edge. Also *gulp* it was his eye. *MEEP* Seeing our cards chamged with a character by our hand, could that be the third student sticking by us? At least the extra challenge against Magnificus isn't as tricky as this could've been. I was concerned that instead of changing the sigil, he'd completely change the cards to something else when summoned to making things harder on the player. However the worry was for not and a third Scybe falls to the might of your deck. Huzzah! When Magnificus mentioned the word hegemon, I actually needed to look it up becsuse I'd never seen/heard this word before. I'm surprised Magnificus didn't just say top Scrybe or leader. Unfortunately the surprises just keep coming, the lack of battery is back but this time it removed Magnificus from the room. Now I am wondering if the battery is being drained by what P03 is doing to do his own take over like Leshy. Wait a moment, the devs put themselves into the game are actually the Scrybes? It took me a bit to understand that, but if that's the case...why would they put themselves into a game then constantly try to fight each other to be at the top? This feels like I'm missing something. These short clips just make the mystery in this game feel like it could affect the real world even if that's likely my imagination just running away from me. Plus the short videos are becoming spookier too. I almost want to make a Legend of Zelda Poe ghost joke, but my heart isn't in it after the surprises from this episode. Hopefully tomorrow will not include robot creations scarier than what happened to Magnificus's students. Oh who am I kidding, considering P03 doesn't care about sending others to fight us to allow him time to do what he's doing, things are going to get scarier.
Yeeeaaah, them being stuck in the game is... a huge plot point related to a lot of the dev's previous games. To simplify, it wasn't entire on purpose, when they used it at least. But a lot of people HAVE used it on purpose. And the one to discover it was arguably one of the worst people to ever discover it. After you finish the playthrough, look into The Karnoffel Code theory.
@@EnvoyofKairos *Nod. Nod* Will do.
It's Emi time! Exploring, blasting, then totally random trivia about favorite bread flavor. LOL! Emi just keeps being awesome. The timing just gets the funny bone. Either the dialog is a clue about the area having a secret or maybe the writers were also running out of ideas so just threw this in to make the player laugh? I'm leaning towards secret and making the audience laugh. Then going into the creepy area has me wondering if we're going to fight the scientist who was experimenting on the people from Yar. If we do I really won't feel bad since he's been happily hurting the people from Yar, changing humans because the Black Widow was more than likely not the only one changed, and possibly letting the other bugs to run wild in the building. The number of mines and lasers seem to be growing again. Especially the mines under water. We already have plenty of obstacles game can't you lighten up on the numbers? No, then good thing we added more power because the mines are going to be taken down. Or the game could give a room where the mines protect us from the lasers. Really? Right after I ask for less? Timing. The fact Emi gets blasted from one into another on the return trip feels like the game knew I would comment on this room. Sorry about that. Oh cool this Yar warrior was much nicer and happy to cheer us on. Maybe the first one we met is supposed to be the Raphael of the group if I start comparing them the the Ninja Turtles. This one is either Leo or Donatello. Even Emi starts commenting on the lasers. Okay Emi is just an absolute gem and I hope we get to see her appear in more games. Although next time, less lasers that mega laser room makes me wonder if we have to turn things off somewhere else otherwise how is Emi supposed to get through there? Have only health ups on and just brute force our way to the terminal? I don't think that would make any sense. Answer no, but it is tricky. Thank the moon all the regular lasers turn off. Third warrior saved and once again I'm torn between Donatello and Leo. I can't get myself to suggest Michelangelo since Mikey is very excitable and chatty plus this guy is far more serious. Secret tunnel reference, awesome. Although if Captain/Commander Dramatics starts crying about cabbages that's not going to be as funny. His attacks haven't been looking like the vegetables so this will not be likely to happen. The number of elevators found is surrprising, but probably helpful for some backtracking. Almost through with the adventure I wonder what the final big bad will look like? Will they be the scientist or the head of the group who want to take down the people of Yar? Whoever they are, will be getting mega blasted in the face for what they've been doing. With an extra one for our friends lost in this fight. I'm looking forward to it.
Well, ya don;t have to wait long, the finale's tomorrow!
@@EnvoyofKairos I'll definitely be looking forward to that battle and I hope the game gives another interaction between Emi and her friends. After the night she's had hopefully the group make plans for a vacation.
Do you plan on playing anything like They Are Billions?
Sorry, not really my style. Not an RTS or zombie fan.
@@EnvoyofKairos understandable thank you
26:55 Hey look, it's Space Invaders!
Yeah, pretty much. This game is loaded with old Atari references.
Well the opening of the tower is feels like the usual part library part laboratory area I'd expect. Cool a booster pack to start us off plus a means to see hidden things. Although yikes what happened to this student? I'm almost scared of the answer, but at the same time it feels like one or more of the students might have been changed into the green liquid in the talking bottle. Unless the bottle is supposed to be someone else. *shiver* At least this battle wasn't so bad especially with the deck being cooperative with you. A mannequin battle dummy styled character, part of me is really starting to question Magnificus's own treatment of others. Maybe this is why P03 wasn't to thrilled to be reunited when we got the Stunted Wolf card? ... I don't want to be rude, but wow that was extremely dumb of the game and extremely easy. Are we being led into a trap? Wait we have to fight again? Is this battle dumby hiding the clues on his cards or is this a place we have to guess after another card fight? Or maybe the clue is hidden in another area that we can find now that we have the monocle? A visit tot P03 and finding him printing cards but leaving them to pile up, that's concerning. Back to the dueling dummy and his cards were hiding the secret. Nice to see I was close with my guess. I just wonder if it is possible to defeat the card that can't be attacked? Nope, but one of his own cards helped push it away to open a path to easily win. Yeah the secons student is in no better treatment than the first. I am really starting to miss the ghosts that kept Grimora company. They might be dead, but she didn't cause it and is willing to be there for people in life and death. The second student is definitely tougher. The final match and getting all the extra points against her to earn more foils. Yes please and thank you game so we can get out of here soon. This episode definitely brought the spooky fact back up and I'm now wondering what P03 was looking for in the deck. Is he just wanting to go last after we defeat the other Scrybes or was he just saying that so he can avoid fighting us too? I'm curious, but I think I'm going to wait before seeing what happened to the third student. Until then maybe a little Kirby to calm me down.
P03 has... interesting motivations, and certainly not the best, but the crazy part is that you can't even find out the end result without playing out a very difficult ARG hidden in the game. I didn't play it, but I did watch the process and solution on youtube later on.
Something I realized when seeing the repeated tries for the card battles in the second half of the game. It's a lot like the Pokemon card game for the Gameboy. Apart from the rival battles, we could retry to battle the gym trainers and leaders. It's been a long time since I last played the game, but my memories say this is true. Oh yeah Trapper has been defeated. The cards were helpful and when they were his deck had no defense against your wall. Next up is the original Leshy, considering Grimora was aware that something happened I get the feeling Leshy will get extra cranky when we defeat him in the original game. Oh that's mean, part of Leshy's starting play includes a Stoat plus a Coyote, I almost feel like the Stoat is to poke the player to remind us that P03 was the Stoat that was with us since the very beginning of the game. From the fact Leshy is constantly taking pictures during the battle, I bet thr combinations of the pictures will be cards he plays at the beginning of round two. That's just like how he used cards the player made before we take down Leshy in the altered future of the game. Well we'll get to find out on our first try. Let's see if he also tries to delete our side too although I really hope that doesn't happen. Thank goodness he only changed our hand, but it's still giving us a better chance. Leshy down in one try. Oh yeah, two Scrybes bested! Two more remain. Oh hey its P03 come to visit after our victory, I wonder if he came because of the battle or the fact Leshy used a Stoat card or to say the bridge has been fixed? I should just let him answer, but I still wanted to write this. Answer P03 wanted to see Leshy's face upon defeat. This coming from the doubtful Stoat who was constantly worried. He's gained a lot more attitude now that he's returned to his original form. I know Grimora seemed about the same, but the differences between P03 now and the beginning is just surprising. Although hearing him talk about the disk going missing and remembering what happened is just as shocking. Especially when he changed his face to what the card looked like. Okay so the game isn't going to have the characters not remember. Looks like we may gind more answers than I thought in this half of the game. I'm glad to hear we're checking out Magnifious's tower next. Hopefully P03 will be calmer when we next meet up. I get the feeling that before the player beat Leshy in the other area Leshy might've been bragging about enjoying taking down his fellow Scrybes while trying stuck as beast cards. Or maybe it's because of how long the other Scrybes were stuck in the card forms. My worry is P03 possibly trying to do the same thing Leshy did, but with technology or only doing it to Leshy in the hopes of not having to relive that experience. Now I'm very curious what will happen next so I think it's time for another episode. Time to draw a card.
The fact they all remember what happened and seem familiar with the process really says these four have been at this for ages. And that has some... chilling implications.
First try, was a no go, but then the following is going a lot better. Especially since it looks like the blue rectangles helps with summoning too. I wasn't sure before, I guess they're for the technology cards. Grimora lost the first life. Let's see the second one taken out too. *Legend of Zelda victory music plays* Huzzah one of the Scrybes has been defeated. With a victory for me on guessing right on getting more than one booster pack. Although boo we didn't get our own quill. That's odd, after the victory the game comments on 400 minutes and almost a depleted battery. I wonder what that was about. Oh you mentioned it too, once again I jump ahead with questions. Huzzah again with the Prospector going down without having more than one life, extra rounds? Whatever I call it, they didn't use a pickaxe to cause trouble. The event with the shark was a bit confusing, but I'm starting to notice this part of the game has some new twists that have me confused a lot. I'm glad to see another victory against the Angler without seeing his hook trying to seal one of your cards. Oh no, that poor green dog. Sorry buddy and it looks like even on this side of the game the Trader and Trapper are in one body. They're like Jekyll and Hyde. The last few battles it feels like the game got cranky on whether it would give good cards to help at thr start of a battle or just when needed. Hopefully it'll calm down on the next try. I just wonder if both the Trapper and Trader will want to battle or we only need one victory before we can say they're defeated. Best way to find out is to go onto the next episode, but I think I should wait a bit just in case the game gives a scary suprise. I'll be looking forward to what happens next.
Yeah, every card type has it's own resource. Blood, bones, mox, and energy. Little cluttered, but it works well enough.
Pokemon holiday special and it's for the Mesopas region time to see some fun and likely scary mon. Let's see what you have in store for us today and time to share my thoughts. I wonder how long it's going to be this time. I'll try not to go to overboard. New Ghost/bug combo I'm listening. Oh they're kinda cute even with the skeletal designs, bugs like to keep their skeleton on the outside. Plus with the recent addition of resin into Minecraft the final form almost feels like they would use the resin and the new pale wood from the Pale Garden to hide itself from predators, but have a way to sneak up on prey. I'm not fully sure they'd go on the team, but if I wanted to bring together an anti psychic team I could see them line joining in on the fun. Oh no, the shiny version gave me happy chills that had me want to go back on what I said and actually bring them on a rotation for my team. Plus I can imagine the shinies hiding among pale wood and ice blocks. Tuskare looks cute, if I ignore what looks like bloodstains and pretend that it's dried berry juice. If I don't *shiver* I'd probably stay away due to fear, which makes me feel bad for hurting their feelings. Oh boy, both the male and female evolution forms are definitely scarier than the first form. Alithal almost has me thinking of both the illithids and hags from Baldur's Gate 3, which makes me think the fairy type mixed with dark typing works well for her. While her counterpart, Divious being more into battling works well with fighting type. Parsoul, oh my gosh. They look great. I have a feeling I'm jumping to a silly conclusion, but I can almost see this youkai mon somehow evolve into Baba Yaga's house. Only to find out I was proven right on half of my thought. We get an evolution, but with a completely different background. The final design for Mononasty is still very adorable, but a different inspiration for this form. You say they're supposed to be scary, but I can imagine both Parsoul and Mononasty trying to find a friend with both becoming extremely protective of said friend/friends once found. Oh cool a new genie inspired mon, Jinvisivile. Fun design, but I get the feeling this one likes to be the tricky type who doesn't want to grant wishes in the manner the one making the wishes would expect. With hints of Rotom mixed in thanks to being able to inhabit different objects. Although being Ghost/Fairy, which currently only has two offical mons with this combo has me wanting to see Jinvisivile, Mimikyu, and Flutter Mane hamging out together. Laughing and having fun. Maybe have one or more Rotom joining in. Ooh man and the background you gave them has me wanting Spiritomb to join in with the group too. Jinvisivile is growing to be a cool pokemon who is joining the team in the rotation... I say before learning of the evolution. Sadifreest scares me and the idea of another form beyond this, um let's just say I'm definitely going to be hoping I have a team able to defend or we are able to escape that encounter safely if the mon isn't from our team. Oh crud, you gave two very spooky bugs the equivalent to Wishiwashi's ability? Hearing about a swarm of mosquitoes or locusts has me feeling like my hair is raising in fear while inside I want to create a shelter with everyone on my teams able to stay safe from these swarms. Seeing Buzzyskyll small or swarming, no questions asked I'm outta there. The Donphan skeleton armour adds to the spookiness, while reminding me of Vullaby and Mandibuzz with their skeleton additions. Although for some reason the swarming form of Buzzuzu gives me a combination of Shukaku from Naruto and Lokix vibes. I don't feel as scared and I almost want to offer help even if the small form puts me a bit on edge and not as happy to see them. Maybe suggest to the swarming Buzzuzu ways to be helpful in areas and not be taken out. I don't understand why I get this thought. I wonder if this is happening due to the manipulation of sand reminding me of a character I have who can change sand to create flowers. Especially roses thanks to the song Desert Rose by Sting. So many impressive Pokémon and a lot of scary pokedex entries. Great creations and thanks for sharing them with everyone. Oh and Happy Halloween, I hope this was a fun holiday.
Eh, kind of a meh day, but glad ya loved the video! Also wishing I put more of the shinies in now- you'd probably be a bit more frightful of Parasoul and Mononasty's shiny forms, cuz I made them Resident Evil references.

@@EnvoyofKairos :O
Okay let's see what this episode has in store. So it was the Trader in the side room and not the Wood Carver. Maybe she's in the magical tower or technology area. Grimora having a tricky card out to start with plus the deck being uncooperative is definitely making the second half of the game a big challenge. However I think it's really cool how before each battle with her we see a quill appear in the middle of the screen with some ink coming off as if she was about to start writing something, but forgot to dry the quill. Oh so the quill is used for more than a cool opening. That has me wondering if each of the Scrybes have a unique artifact, although I can say yes for Leshy since he has the camera. Maybe that was a clue we'd get something from each of them considering we have a model of his camera. Although aeeing her continue to make notes on when and how her cards are defeated has me curious if the notes will have more meaning or cause something to happen. Seeing you get through a first round had me cheering and I am curious if we might also be able to get more than one pack from Grimora plus a quill when the second round is defeated. Although seeing her event at he start of round two is worse than both the Prospector and Angler. At least they left something on our side of the field. Grimora isn't. That's just mean, which definitely means both P03 aka the Stoat and Magnificus aka the Stunted Wolf will also have some crazy tound two events. Oh man this game just keeps being tricky. Here's looking forward to more and I wonder if we'll see our protagonist ever try to use theit camera on anyone else? If we do that's going to lead to some weirdness.
Yeah, each scribe has a battle gimmick based on their method of Inscryption. Each of them also has a clear weakness to exploit if you know how to.
Okay, time to explore this new change in the rules. Hm, that lady in the side room, could that have been the Wood Carver or someone who we've not been introduced to yet? I guess we'll try talking to them later. Time for a rematch, let's duel. It's weird that this late in the game we have to completely change the style of battles if the player doesn't pick Leshy's beast deck. Huzzah for the wins and the foil cards. I was wondering if we'd need to battle the Trapper to gain pelts to then exchange with the Trader. Guess that was incorrect. Seeing the Elk Fawn, but especially the Wolf Cub had me smiling especially since the wolves have been really helpful through the first part of the game. Oh nice, a means to change our character design by venturing into a looking glass. That feels like we're revealing another side of us or finding a counterpart the player likes most. Maybe our character would've been different depending on what deck we chose. The puzzle with the tombstones seemed like a fun challenge after we interacted with the trio of spirits. While that sacrifice table has me concerned. Grimora is no joke, but I think the build for the deck is just as much a challenge. Hey wait a moment, the episode is over? How the floof was that twenty one minutes? The battles go by so much faster in this style especially without the totems and items. Nope I refuse to wait until tomorrow, time to see what happens in the next episode. Especially since some of the scariness has decreased and I am very curious.
Yeah, the game's pace picks up a lot once you get to this part. In part due to the simple 8-bit animations, really.
Back to the little cut scenes from the developer, but thank goodness the game includes a lot of subtitles. Although watching the booster pack openings feels like I'm either a kid watching as we opened the pokemon or cardcaptors boosters or a few RUclipsr with their own pokemon packs except it didn't feel the exact same. Considering this is a different series his comments about the card texture, feom last time, was very fun. Until he gets to the previously opened then resealed pack, this has to be a clue. I wonder if it's the same for every save file or if he put in some that are different depending on the number of cycles it takes to get there. Or the clue is for something completely different.. It looks like the videos are learning into option number two. Things will get creepy, maybe even being someone who was turned into a card or was the player character themselves. The fact he found a floppy disk has me wondering if that's the Stoat's original form. Or it just is the game. Back in we go and we're brought back into the flickering room. Hopefully whatever is on the reel helps us and isn't about to make us drop our guard for our captor to kill us again. Wait the flickery thing was the missing new game symbol? Oh that sends chills down the spine. At least we got a picture of our captor and he became a card on the wall. Ha a taste of your own medicine. This new opening with the group called The Scrybes, I'm sure that our three chatty friends are among the group. I can see one I think becomes Stinkbug, The Stoat was more computer being, and I'm not sure which is the Stunted Wolf. This definitely is going to a completely different level of what's going on...The Four Giants, but is one of them the person who trapped us here or are they someone we haven't met yet? Nope he's one of the four thanks to the camera information and the beard although looking a bit different, it's him, Leshy. Style change and new lore that has me wondering what's going to happen now. Oh man the new map it has my brain pulled in multiple directions, the technology area almost looks like a town from the Hoenn region, Pacifidlog Town. The one with a tower with multiple islands I almost want to say is Sky Pillar or a different tower entirely without feeling sure where the inspiration is. The skeletal hand shaped area wow. Although the cabin in the woods feels like we'd be heading back to the area the player is trapped in for so long. I'm curious what happens if we go anywhere else first or if we'll be forced to go back to the cabin first. Another character is blocking a broken bridge, but why did he start his conversation with a woof? Maybe someone who used to be a canine or had his mind switched with one? The questions are just cascading out like a waterfall. Two of the masked characters have appeared outside which means there's a chance we could run into the others as well. Another is inside okay, but that still leaves two more. So the Stinkbug was Grimora, no wonder they had bones for their card sacrifice. There's so much to take in, but I wish we could interact with the other three to warn them of what we went through agaist Leshy. She's aware okay so that's something we don't need to do, but time to try to remake a deck to use in this different environment. Also wow is the wizard deck confusing. I wonder if the same would happen if we picked the robotic/technology or undead one? After seeing that battle I think I might've figured out a possibly for what happened. The last time the game was played, the beast deck was picked to take over Leshy's position among the Scrybes. I can imagine Leshy didn't want to lose his position so he began using his camera to imprison not just the player, but also the other Scrybes themselves until he was the only one left. Then others became the masks and the one at the bridge maybe the spirit who became the bottle of green liquid? I maybe reaching there, but that's as far as my thoughts will get me. I could be way off track, but I am not sure what else to think. It was a fun episode, but I think I need a little Kirby to slow down.
You'll have answers to a lot of that soon- suffice to say, the guy in the jar will be obvious later. As for how Leshy came into powers, well, certainly not that, but it'll be clear later on.
Try #2 on watching this episode kind of in order, but yikes the Trapper is the third boss. Part of me thinks I should've seen this coming since we are trapped in this place so hearing the Trapper wanting to take our hide..yeah I don't think so. We're not falling to you or your tools that's circling the table. Crud we keep losing cards to his trap monsters this fight almost feels impossible. It's likely not but it's making me a bit jumpy. Oh Gyl is able to keep coming back and smacking down his normal cards. Huzzah and with the skunk that blocked a trap monster. Awesome. Wait, he wants to trade for some of the pelts...inbetween rounds? Um what the flip?! I'm confused and feel like we're being forced to trade out some cards from our deck at an odd time. Although seeing that the Trader and Trapper share a mask just flipped upside down is a suprise. I didn't fully notice since the way he holds the mask partially hides some parts. I just figured the colors for the masks were similar because one helps the other. Or maybe they're from the same tree? That's a sneaky bit of lore. Plus turns the third boss into a duel sided boss fight. Impressive, but not something I would've expected. Now I'm going to be wondering if the Wood Carver is a future boss too. Hold on a moment, I just had an epiphany, that boss battle music felt like it was similar to the DBZ opening Head Cha La. It was slower and had a background chanting. Thats cool. The Daus card almost looks like it's similar to the beaver and either put up new blocks or attack cards beside it. Upon checking it, it is like the beaver. Huzzah! The extra defense may not be powerful, but more defense is good. Oh Mole Man, okay. He does have more health and can be summoned with less cards. Spooky fourth map, it looks small, but I get the feeling things are about to get weirder. New event where we are on the map, oh crud I made a comment about something like that earlier. Uh oh. And a ring? Could that be what was hidden in the painting or by the axe or somehow in the globe? Yikes I wonder what it would've helped with. Ring or no ring, these boons the game is offering are powerful. That just has me growing more concerned on how tough the true final boss will be. His true character model is not what I thought I was seeing back when he was in shadows. Very sneaky game. Although putting the same pink/purple moon we see outside the cabin, behind him for this fight makes the ominous level rise into the 'how the heck is this guy not from the Majoras Mask', especially with the different masks flying by that are illuminated by the moonlight. Plus he gave himself a third life, three days until the moon falls down. The more I think about this the more I feel like Majora's Mask is inspiration and maybe holds some clue I've missed. I got it, the Eulogy of Emptyness song, the cards we made are almost like the statues Link creates. And now our captor plans to use the ones we didn't include in our deck. That's pretty scary. Plus attacking our cards like previous bosses but it depends on which mask he has on. Tricky, until he changes the moon into a freaking card. Now we have to fight it?! The moon has fallen, time to fight it too. After the gold was destroyed I realized a perfect counter to the moon. Either the Stinkbug or skunk could have used their ability to nullify the moon's attack power. That would mean no matter what our opponent tries you could easily wipe put it's health....Or you just take it down in that same turn. I wasn't paying enough attention to the combined attack power. That last part has me confused, but considering we couldn't use the dagger for that battle means we're going back in for another round. I am going to be wondering about those other clips and what will happen when going in for another attempt. Looks like I wrote a lot again, but this episode had my thoughts jumping from worry into comparisons that were fun. I can't believe it took me this long to think of Majora's Mask I wonder if we'll find other connections in the following episodes?
Well, there's parallels, but no direct connections to Majora's Mask or mirroring of it's plot. It's... a lot more complicated than you think. As for a ring, fun easter egg: if you have ringworm in your deck, that card counts for it!
@@EnvoyofKairos Ah that makes sense on 5he ring. And only finding parallels dang I really thought that the answers were hiding in plain sight. Guess I was close.
How did I completely miss this episode. Ugh and I thought I was being extra careful. Okay time to take a step back and figure out what's happening before episode 10 then go to 11. And thanks to a quick check of what I wrote about episode 8 I'm feeling ready to watch this episode. Oh look the beaver card appears. Interesting timing after I was just thinking of a beaver character I thought up who actively hates building dams and will take them down. Only once does she have to build one and it drives her up a wall. Quick battle nice. Great work porcupine. Then a gift of teeth from the pelt trader since we had none. That's nice of the game, but at the same time, there's still mysteries that aren't being explained. Time to keep looking for any answers we can find. Miner time. Okay he's creepier than the beginning, but holy Suicune and Mew. I didn't realize we can empty a deck spot. Hopefully we draw all the squirrels the game won't automatically decide that's a game over. Although seeing the number of bone counters just keep stacking up makes me wish that for each counter we don't use that earns the player more teeth or another type of reward. Especially when there are totems and effect cards that help accumulate more bone counters. I'm glad you gave a warning because the thought of watching the dagger attack us again had me hiding. Then seeing the box of eyes. *Creepy!* Oh it's magical and gives us more clues. Thanks game. The talking wolf came from the clock and not by fusing two normal wolves. Okay I missed a bit by jumping episodes. I'm glad I came back. So the chatty wolf is called the Stunted Wolf to start with. Welcome to the team then. Ah and a mystery canister, what are you hiding? Information, pictures, a movie, or maybe a code to unlock the axe? So many possibilities. The message about keeping the odd jar of green stuff, is said that it should stay sealed, but who is suggesting that? Those who came before or out captor who wanted to mess with us? Back to the board to get back to the Angler boss fight. With a chat between the Stunted Wolf and the Stoat who...yeah why do they look more like they're not changing into a human but electric parts? Hopefully that's not due to us rebooting so much? Maybe it's something to do with the eye? A different challenge this late into the game, or is he trying to offer us one of the different cards you created? Time to reread what is said before revealing the cards. Nope just an offering then that's a surprise though, what are you doing game? Ah floof we lost the porcupine during that chance time. That's the first and hopefully only one we lose to the fire like that. Seeing how you got so many teeth in this episode now explains how you had so many in the following episode and had me wondering how that happened. At the same time the episode went by so quickly I think I'm going to chance the consequences and jump into another episode. My curiosity won't stay quiet. Let's see what the third boss has in store and what's hiding behind that fight.
Well, he is turning mechanical, and the explanation for it is.. well, this goes a lot deeper than you'll ever expect.
@@EnvoyofKairos If the Stoat turns out to be a computer or video game system or character changed into the card, I will be surprised. If not then the game has more surprises than I can shake a stick at and I'll still be surprised.
I am turkish, I solely searched turkish inspired pokemon and found this video. The art, the designs, are just super duper amazing honestly, I especially liked that dubwool since i grew up with farm animals for most of my childhood. The way you interpreted these stories into pokemon is also honestly just masterful. Overall this is a really cool region and a really nice video!
Hey, thanks! I do thankfully have some assistance from a Turkish citizen with double-checking my research for validity, so that helps a good deal- and he's provided a few basic ideas as well. He said I had to do a coffee pokemon, But I came up with the rest myself. Still, if you like this video, feel free to check out the rest6 of the region! And there's much more to come. In fact, there's a Halloween special coming in a few days!
More new upgrades and then I find out my hope of the new outfit protecting us from one type of laser was wrong. Sad Floof. More new guard designs, but I'm starting to think that our old boss for Qotec was mimicking a lot mofd designs from his own insectoid associates. Time to try to avoid more walking walls. New full ability, yes please. The chance to walk under water. Hello exploring and finding more cool upgrades back on earth. Awesome. Although why were the four warriors placed in different parts of the map? To encourage exploration? That was already a given for anyone who wants to fill the map and get everything. Hopefully we're not going to have to fight the four warriors. That would probably not make the locals of Yar happy with Emi. Fighting off the guards thanks to the armour upgrade. Heck yay, look out jerks time for karma to come smack you with our energy attacks. Kaboom! The game sounds like it's also being a pain in the butt with the newer terminals. Yikes. Emi that watch for the lasers pun was bad, you could've tried that they weren't bright enough to get you. Or the lasers we're not pointing at the correct wall. I'm not going to keep on chasing that red spot anymore because I don't think I can keep trying to come up with what I hope are better laser jokes. Unless I was chasing a laser pointer, cat joke. One warrior rescued three more to go. Hopefully they all don't jump to insults. Emi wasn't the one who did this to them, but she is coming to their rescue. Although now I need to wait again. I'm worried that the guys will have a bad reaction to the news about what Mal did. Hopefully they'll be on Emi's side of this. Anyway, I can't wait to find out what happens next.
Pretty sure the warriors were imprisoned separately so they couldn't organize for an escape attempt and so anyone trying to break them out would have four times the chance of getting caught and either captured or killed.
I maybe a day late, but I am still very excited to see Emi in action. Although from the title it looks like there will be some problems soon. Considering more squishing pills are appearing and even new guard designs too. Some of Emi's old friend's dialog is fun to listen to. I bet the voice actor had a blast with the role. (And once again I paused before you yalked about the language of our bug friend. I get the feeling Apollo didn't like me calling him out yesterday.) Oh no, not the dramatic commander again. Before the traitor does reveal herself. Why did she make it so obvious that she was bad news earlier, why couldn't she just be cranky or tsundere like a cat then reveal she was mind controlled instead of siding with the bad guys. Although if she was fully evil, why not take the tokens instead of letting the guys each take them? It would've made it impossible to get in if we couldn't get the tokens the way we did. That reveal has me wanting to call in both Broly's to squish Mal for what she did to all of us. If she was ever our friend then she better be planning to help us from beyond. That's the only way to make up for this! Oh really you were jealous of Emi. UGH, if there's a problem Mal, talk to each other. Emi loves chatting and from what I can tell, she would listen to what Mal had to say. Oh goodie, the evil boss shows up to brag and be dismissive. Is it too late to grab a laser and give him a taste of his own obstacles? No, rats. Although seeing the portal that has me worried we're going to be stuck on the other planet once we win the final boss fight. Hopefully not, but with how things are going it's something I could see happen. Unless the game gives us an escape sequence like in Metroid then I really hope that helps take down the portal. Razak, wow that's a word I haven't seen in a while. Not since my last read of the first two Eragon books. Thankfully the new map is on the same page so this area shouldn't be too big. Oh nice locals, this'll be fun. Although it didn't sound like they included any new words like our old friend did. I'm glad we're getting more comic scenes this episode, but wow did the Mal event bring in a roller-coaster. Thank goodness for the fun conversations. This is definitely a game to revisit. Hehe new costume, to bad it doesn't make Emi look like the alternate self or character from the thumbnail. I'm not sure if I saw it right, but it appears the armour protected against the wall lasers. If it does that opens a lot of areas to jump off of. Nice and since there's another episode out. Time to check out what's happening next. Yay!
The armor did indeed increase her defenses, but wait until ya see what it did to her firepower! As for the betrayal... yeah, saw it coming a mile away, but certainly still sucks. Shame we couldn't save her.
@@EnvoyofKairos I'm almost through with the next episode and oh does it feel great to see Emi blasting so many guards and bugs after the trouble they've been until now. No more getting one-hit KOed by guards.
We get to destroy the security guards now? About time!
@@ryukaze7392 yeah, finally - and with only two episodes remaining :/ this game is far too short.
Huzzah for the S ranks and collecting everything...wait a moment those two goofballs made a rocket shaped clock?! All this for a clock joke? Oh my gosh, why did I think they were going to do something that would be dangerous and open another big battle or subquest? Nope, they made a cuckoo clock. I now dub them Team Rocket Jessie and James level of silly. That last flying challenge was keeping me on the edge of my seat I almost started tilting my phone in hopes of helping Shadow make turns. A little bird figurine in the collection room. Okay that's cute, but having the full journal with hints of more characters. Maybe T is the first initial of Maria's sister. The game only mentions a sister, but didn't give a name. I really hope we can find out more on this in another game. Even one where someone other than Eggman is trying to look into a mystery that pulls them and some of the characters from the Sonic team into Blaze's world or wherever she's gone. Maybe even Silver as long as he doesn't go through an odd change like the blue haired Future Trunks from Super. Opps rambling, what I was meaning to say is that the Robotnik character isn't evil, but trying to learn and maybe even trying to uncover the answers to another mystery surrounding the ancients and the Koco or the Babylonian's. The options are vast and could even be a possible way to include more characters from the comics plus Trip, the Sungazer could make another return. Okay I really need to be careful where I *pause* the video since right after you mention that T could be someone from G.U.N. or another family member I paused the video and wrote that it could be Maria's little sister. I unpause and you say exactly what I was asking. It just keeps happening. I can't blame a Chaos Emerald for this so once more I will call out, "Leave me alone, Apollo!" In the same way the village people were calling out Mel Brooks for burning their houses down for a Robin Hood film. I'm torn between wanting to glare and smiling at the screen . On entry 402, considering Gerald is talking about a robot that has a connection to the Chaos Emerald, maybe they found a Koco. With all the references to Frontiers in this game I can easily see some more lore and characters possibly slipping into Gerald's journal. Or maybe not after hearing some of the following entry. Hearing about what Maria has yikes and I thought my immune system was having a tough fight. Thankfully she's keeping her head up and cheering everyone up, something I try, but can't always do. (Sorry for this ramble I've just been having a rough week.) Back to the journal, even Gerald keeps mentioning chasing a shadow, which I wouldn't be surprised if he mentioned that thougt to Maria. That shadow and Maria's thought of a shadow helping to find light, all of that helped create the person Shadow is. He's helping and keeps protecting, especially with the help from the Chaos Emeralds. Chaos, helping to halt water disasters and possibly save people from a problem in the water. Both would be awesome. Then we go into the backstory of the Biolizard with a picture. Yikes, and the lizard looks like they could've been a cousin to Stitch with that silly smile and dance. That's now a depressing thought. Hearing what's in entry 589 actually had me tearing up again. The bravery and strength Maria has, I don't blame Gerald for getting angry at the people insulting his granddaughter. When others don't know, or want to care, words can be just as harmful as watching people we care about in pain. It's never easy. More Gizoid information, huzzah. Although I am a bit sad that Gerald didn't attempt to show the power of knowledge to Gizoid instead of just showing off different guns. The power of knowledge might've made a difference in keeping Gizoid from believing that absorbing all the weapons would make for a better bond. Photos and drawings in the journal are incredible. I'm also impressed by Maria also helping out too in creating designs. I can easily see Shadow never wanting to change the look of his shoes to keep another part of Maria with him. *deep breath* Part of me wants to ramble more, but after the roller-coaster I think I'll cut it off here. There's now a whole new layer of information and emotional events attached to Shadow's story. I know I'm probably early for this thought, but thanks for sharing this game. It's been a lot of fun and I get the feeling the Sonic half will have some scenes to build even more excitement and surprises as Shadow's did. Whatever game comes next is very likely going to once again be mega impressive.
As always, very happy to share it! This game was a blast, and I'll probably replay it a dozen times over the next year with fresh saves for the hell of it. Sadly, Sonic's side is... not very exciting at all. Good level designs, but no real plot to speak of- as expected, the original release 12 years ago was like that, and they barely changed anything.
@@EnvoyofKairos Ah it's sad to hear the Sonic side didn't get it's own additions, but wow did the Shadow story and that journal leave me with a lot of fun, but roller-coaster of feelings too. Although I am happy to hear that this game is going to be replayed a lot. After this first playthrough I bet you'll be finding more paths and details in each area.
I think that it's a bit unfair to give Shadow the wings ability at the beginning, but then make the player wait to unlock them again later in the game. Yes it would've simplified many challenges, but don't tease us then with something that cool at the beginning. Unless I missed/forgot a cut scene where he lost them when leaving the stage that would've made more sense or he'd gotten a small boost of darkness that unlocked the power. Give us some type of explanation. (Pouting cat/Kat face) However it is interesting that Rouge windings up standing not far from where we get wings back. Maybe that was on purpose? Only two more chests to open before reclaiming wings wow. Although I am still wondering what that rocket that Eggman's two goofballs are messing with will do. That's probably for later so back to what is happening at the current part of the game. Careful Shadow remember who you are and why you fight. Getting rid of the dark energy great idea the look of that part. Ouchie. I hope he doesn't have to do that again, but I have a feeling that he will. By the moon and stars, I made a comment about Shadow being Gerald's son and today that's said. I am blown away by that, but it makes me both happy and a bit surprised I foresaw that just before it happened. Shadow smiles! Dark Doom is absolutely doomed to fail now. No more smirks or grimaces Shadow's smile to Maria proves he's already beyond the power of Super Shadow. I'm sad he didn't give a hug in this moment, but holding her hands while his wings are out like that, he is her angel. Radical Highway time to complete the last ones for the game. Although compared to one from the beginning there's a lot less of the purple liquid on the ground in certain places, but still tricky electrical obstacles. Some of the platforms are nuts. Just when it looks like we could land they either twists around or aren't there. This area was actually one I had to hide from after a while, but compared to how much I hid from some of the past Sonic games there were less here I hid from. Huzzah. Oh Dark Doom digivolved to Devil Doom, I have to say you're looking like a fusion of Rhapthorne from Dragon Quest 8 and Lucemon Shadowlord Mode. In otherwords, you're a bigger target and Shadow's going to get rid of you for good. Next form oh yeah my references for the first form still stand, but I can almost see another character. Unfortunately my brain is not remembering who it is. Neo Devil Doom maybe getting some hits in, but he's running more than he's attacking. His strength is leaving him and Shadow will be the standing tall after this. Blasting Doom with all the power Shadow has. If Doom really wanted to win he shouldn't have brought Maria and Gerald to the void. They are just another key to Doom's defeat. Dang it game, this good bye has me crying. It's so sweet, but sad. At least he got to say what he wants to before losing her again. This closure may hurt, but it should also banish the nightmares for good. Or he just nods and rushs off joining me in letting some tears fall. What a story this was. It's so good! I'm still curious about that rocket, so it's probably going to be in the bonus episode. Although just wow Shadow's story here and being able to defeat Dr Dark Doom for good. Yeah that's probably something he'll want to remember. While I am going to be trying to think of some fun ideas thanks to the flying segments and the wonder backgrounds to the levels. I'm glad there's more because I don't want to say goodbye to this game yet. Time to dash into the bonus video.
Well, only the bonus video remains sadly. I'm not doing videos of the base Sonic Generations content because although I recorded a good deal, it wasn't changed enough for me to have worthwhile commentary.
I mean...we saw it coming with her name being "Mal" short for Malware and what not, but it still hurts seeing Mal turn on her friend like that
Betrayal always hurts, even if you see it coming a mile away.
