w124 250d is way better reliable and powerful,here in morocco you can find 600000km and still running on original engine and gear, yes the w124 is rusty,but if you really take care of it,it can go for 1M KM.

I missed an Z3 with superb large tears (probably 250, 280) at about 9500 dollars. insurrance was ok with an not so high price. I phoned to him and he passed at 11500 dollars few days later! I actually daily drive a Mk1 TT coupe, most fun car I ever had. Its also amazing that even though its a very small car and I’m pretty exactly 2m tall I still fit in it. The older 1.8T like in the Mk1 are known to be quite reliable but I‘d recommend getting the timingbelt and waterpump done if you don’t know when it was done, they’re due every 100.000km / 5 years. Otherwise I can only congratulate you, its also a very desirable combination with the grey and the baseball seats.

To put this in very simple terms, For less than 21,000 you can buy a used EV at the dealership's right now that you actually own and have equity stake in, in 3 different choices, where your out the door cost is under 21,000 (after the 4,000 used EV Tax Credit discount is applied) 1) 2022 and soon 2023 Chevy BOLT/EUV 2) 2022 Nissan LEAF SL Plus (good only in non extreme climates of the USA because of no thermal management) all three versions of the car we'll still have the remaining factory warranty on them or at a minimum have at least 1 year full warranty because they will all be certified by the manufacturer, and they all are capable of getting still over 230 miles of range in real world use case, the smarter money in many way's is to own , not lease, when your total lease cost is above 6,000, your better off applying that 6,000 towards equity in a EV you own, and than trade it in for something nicer 3 years from now, where your still eligible to take advantage of the used EV credit again.

I hope that you flushed the brake fluid too. It should be done every 2 years regardless of mileage. Brake fluid absorbs moisture, hence the 2 year recommended service interval.
