Honestly anime needs to step up into darker sides cuz I rlly felt the York new arch 1999, it just felt more exciting and intriguing. Which imo is what makes hunter x hunter 1999 so worth watching ❤️
The current manga arc is very much like a sequel to Yorknew. I won’t say much to avoid spoilers, but its really good, especially the last 30 or so chapters.

Kurapika’s the only character I wish they hadn’t changed. They not only turned him into a girl (fine he has a ✨deek ✨ but what was the reason??💀) but made him look so much softer, much less determined and traumatized. It’s honestly confusing, they made him look out of place with the story with a petty grudge
