@@ESmith-nz7os if u got one of those transparent roofs (fiberglass i think it is) it may be a safe bet to get it replaced with some sort of metal cuz that flimsy cover is just gonna get holes again. looking into it now. will let ya know

Man 94 near Gary during rush hour is nothing but a bottle neck. It gets worse & worse the further you head into Indiana on top of the fact that it’s almost always an accident.

Honestly it wasn’t, but it was a great learning experience for others. Often times we look at the rpm & distance but don’t factor in traffic, facility issues & so forth that cost us valuable time & ultimately money.

Man I woke us out of a deep sleep at 11:50p panicking…I swore I was supposed to be at Amazon at 11:40 like awww naw! Pulled up the trip & it started at 12:40a, can’t tell me Christmas ain’t came already!

Don’t know where you are getting that information from, those trucks run off of diesel and every driver has a diesel card assigned to them to fill up after every route.

@ you can see the CNG tank in this video, long tank on the side of the truck. And If you read my comment, I know people who ran those trucks for Amazon, a lot of them run the CNG.

I stand corrected, after speaking to my son about it he stated that some DSP’s have those trucks instead of diesel trucks. Those so called clean air trucks come with a lot of sensor problems. My son started off with five of them and quickly changed them out to diesel.

I was looking at this truck a couple years ago, a guy with a paint shop was selling it for 7,500. A couple international mechanics advised me to stay away from it, one big thing that they pointed out was that motor was leak prone & a headache to overhaul. It ran perfect but they swore I’d be sorry.

You add your fixed expenses, then add your variable expenses. Then you divide each one by the average or actual miles you drove. Then you add both your fixed total & your variable total together which would give you your cpm.

@ it doesn’t make sense. When EVERYONE knows you wait you make more and folks still just book for bare minimum. They quick to say everyone cost is different lol not $1.81 going 212 miles lol that’s called desperate.

@ My eldest son has his DSP in Dallas and he runs 26ft box trucks only and his DSP is being awarded nearly all of the postal routes and airport runs. MW when you pull up to the DFW distribution centers in DFW area all you see are the blue branded trucks.

@ Yea it’s a bunch here as well, they’re also becoming more active during the daytime on the Amazon to Amazon routes. I they did go 100 percent DSP I wouldn’t be shocked.

Here the flip side of garnering loads with Amazon in that area, if a company has 5+ trucks on the independent side Amazon will keep your wheels turning with contracts. I’ve been approached 2x’s already. I am seriously considering buying more trucks to take advantage of the opportunity being offered.

@@RunningWarrior-ml7tt That May not be a bad idea just be careful, DSP is one of those situations where either party can terminate the agreement at anytime. So you know what that means.

Check Illinois Truck & RV in the Shorewood/Joliet area, they’re pretty good & reasonable.
