The second part is not a cog. It's called a booster, which is part of the barrel flash suppressor assembly of a WW2 Browning 7.7mm aircraft machine gun. The grenade was a rifle grenade. It was fitted over the end of the barrel and fired off like a mortar with a special round. The wind vane was just that, but it belonged to the rifle grenade and was used to stabilize it's flight. The "gas burner" is called a balance pipe. It is from a Rolls Royce Derwent 8 jet aircraft engine. It was part of an assembly that connected the combustion chambers together to balance engine pressure.

Episode I was also released in VCD as well. I have a great many others that were not on DVD at the time.

Just another FYI, VCD was part of the DVD player spec and will play on a standalone DVD player, not sure if they will run a Blu-Ray player, I have not tried.

I am sorry but you are incorrect. The VCD release WAS the Special Edition, I have this from back in the day. They dropped the words Special Edition from the boxes, this was the last version before the DVDs came out in 2004.

I just got my RS hero helmet ANH and it's fantastic, from an original true lineage Hero Stormtrooper Helmet, hand painted details, and made exactly as the original props, ... I'm going to get their Scout trooper helmet next as that is true lineage to a real prop, it doesn't get much better than that, .. i believe they made a black version of this for Rogue one.

As a BIG fan of the Highlander series, my wife bought me the Marto Katana for Christmas in 1998. Just recently, one of the members of my gun club posted the Marto Dragonhead Tanto and Wakizashi set for sale. His price was $200 for the pair. I couldn't resist and bought them. Now, they've joined the Katana that's been on my wall for almost 26 years. At first I was a bit skeptical that for $200, the swords he was selling were Genuine Martos, but I bought them anyway. YES they were both genuine Marto Dragonhead swords. What a deal!

I have a question about paint colors...you said you used Tamiya gun metal and semi gloss black but it looks like they offer a couple different serial numbers of gunmetal color and I wanted to know what those serial numbers were for the paints you used. I plan to do this same venture with my newly acquired PCR.

Japan got a laserdisc release with the Episode II featurette. Usually goes for a hundred dollars US. I have the stand alone 1997 discs not the box. I got the VCD set at Newbury comics for 60 bucks.

It's not paint splatter on the dome but rather the black paint chipping revealing the white gel coat.

I love the display. Your first issue was also my first issue that I bought. I loved buying those and ToyFare magazine. I bought a lot of it a little more recently from Half Price Books Store for $1 each.

Would be a good idea to wear gloves or handle with a lot of care when handling the booklet. That book picks up a lot of one's oily skin. Also when i bought it new the cds had a wonderful smell that has since dissipated into the ether.

I got mine totally apart i just pried apart really hard on both top and bottom pieces from the front. It's the rear engine vent, it holds.the two pieces together it has two locks on each side. But I thought I was gonna bust mine too but after sitting for a long while I said I'm just gonna get this apart and pried and wiggled it until it flew apart lol. I'm gonna start with led lighting and fiber optic lines for the cockpit.

Hi great helmet.. was that a bash on the underside of the helmet or is it the prop ? The black rubber round the helmet looks wonky ? Just wondering if it's the way it's made thanks for the info
