If it’s 494cc it’s not the Honda 500 engine, that’s 471cc. I rode one a year ago and thought it was a really good high quality motorcycle and great value for money.

I don't understand why your light is on loads of people have done those engine mods without issue my interceptor is euro 5 with dna filter fuel x pro and scorpion pipes with no problem needs more investigation I think

Great video dickie it’s so nice to be out in the countryside I live in the countryside and just love walking the footpaths and around and through the local church yard it’s a brilliant way to relax and gather your thoughts and wonder where the hell has your life gone and what you could of done better but that’s the past and if only never happen you can’t wind the clock back but I find when I get back on the bike I feel blessed I’m still here to ride this machine I’ve got a triumph rocket 3gt and what a bike great fun beautiful bit of kit ride safe dickie take care PS I’m 64 yrs young so bit of time left yet BUT you never know

Amazing video, the pub by the canal, country roads. Looks like you've turned me into a bit of a Enfield fan, I wasn't before, but this bike looks and sounds great, the 2 into 1 definitely helped. Hows the power changed since doing that with those pipes.

Nice ride Dickie, thanks for the tip re the barge and the mill cafe, I generally meet a mate at choppers for brunch but will now give the mill a try. All the best and ride safe.

Thanks for the video Dickie, love that exhaust, sounds mint. The scenery you have there is absolutely stunning, the road conditions look to be about the same as where I live in Australia, not the best condition. That front suspension upgrade sounds good. The new Royal Enfield Bear 650 looks like a nice bike to, they seem to be coming out with some good looking bikes at he moment.

Great video! I've done basically the same mods to my Interceptor but fortunately mine is a euro 4 so no engine light. The 2 into 1 gives it noticeably more torque in the mid range doesn't it? To be honest I mainly fitted mine because it makes the bike so much narrower so it fits in my tiny garage better!

I didn’t know you had one of those Dickie? I love mine and have the same mods. 4 years old but only done 1.8k miles. Definitely my “Sunday morning” ride 🙄.

Piece of black tape over the light Dickie ! I was going to go for a "fuel plug" on Phil's outfit but dont think you can get the light to go off ? Interested to see if there's a fix ! They basically tell the motor its running cool and richen the mixture. The one thing that made the interceptor run well was swapping out the "crap cheap" relays out for Hishcocs ones ( bosche basically! ) Top vid 👍

That’s interesting about the FuelX causing a light to come on. I have a Euro 5 Himalayan 411 with the FuelX Lite, and it hasn’t done that. A lovely looking bike, but it needs one thing. I’ve seen a rear seat cowl that matches the fuel tank. That would finish it off nicely. Btw, did I see you mooching about at the Calne Bike Meet a few months ago?

The Conti is the nicest looking of the RE 650s, including the forthcoming ones. I'm very tempted by the alloy wheeled version with the stripes, which I imagine is the kind of thing Royal Enfield UK would have made if they'd lasted until the late 1970s.

A quick glance down at the twin clocks, bar end mirrors and shiney tank and then the engine note when you lit it up, took me back to my old Mate's Triton about 1966..😊

Nothing stays the same as we go through the years, all around us we see things being renewed, modernised but i stay the same true to myself, i was brought up to respect and help others. We do seem to be in a diferent vibe these days and wev'e lost allot of values that were esential for us all to be able to live together nicely, cheers Dickie for shareing your thoughts with us.

Interesting musings. My feeling is that human creations have become a kind of golem, and we delude ourselves into thinking that money is the magic formula to keep it all under our spell. Everything has a price too high for most people, and the chase after survival has become so extreme that all manner of crimes and abuses are commonplace just in order to live. And who are the heroes and role models? All we have is lunatics. So I just unplug from it and find my own quiet places like you've done here, away from the madness.

Very nice. If I was ever to get a Harley that would be it. Do you always have to use the side stand to stabilise the bike whilst kicking it. What's the dependability like?
