DISCLAIMER: I am NOT a PA-46 expert. I am a low-time PA-46 pilot/instructor who is constantly learning and simply wants to provide my input on this airplane.
In this video we check out FSReborn's FSR500 on a flight from El Paso to Odessa, Texas. Along the way we discuss everything there is to know about this airplane, the good and the bad. Enjoy!

Approximately 677,000 people and more than 10,000 airplanes attended AirVenture 2023 making it the busiest AirVenture to date. Flying in the World’s Busiest Airspace | Chicago Skyline

Home to both Midway and O’Hare, Chicago is considered to be one of the busiest airspaces in the world. On this flight I had to work diligently to follow ATC instructions in order to avoid the busy Class Bravo and Charlie airspace as well as see and avoid lots of other traffic. It made for a busy flight, but the views were well worth it. Happy birthday, Avery! My Instagram - @thepilotblake Avery...

Imagine flying 5 miles high, at over 200 knots, in a cabin-class pressurized vessel with a G1000. Oh, you must be flying a 2012 or newer Piper Malibu Mirage. This airplane is a joy to fly and is quite a jump in class from the 172. @aircrafttrainingservicesll4355 Instagram - @thepilotblake
North America’s Highest Airport in a Cessna 172M | Leadville, Colorado

We flew our stock 1975 Cessna 172M with a 150 horsepower Lycoming engine to the highest airport in North America, Leadville, Colorado. (9,934 feet) Careful flight planning, including performance calculations and weather, allowed us to complete this flight safely. This was the most beautiful flight I have ever done and the F16s were just icing on the cake. Instagram - @thepilotblake

Flying a Cessna in class bravo airspace can be a daunting task for many pilots. However, if you plan ahead and are proficient at ATC communications, it’s no big deal.

      That is realistic. Activating the electric trim switch would disconnect the autopilot in the real airplane. Thanks for the kind words!

    pretty sure most of the discrepancies between the sim and reality with the gen/alt and lights are fixed in the upcoming patch. Also I know they did something with changing landing performance, not sure if that includes fixing the wrong power settings and slow down effect. I hope so.

    • @thepilotblake
      @thepilotblake 2 месяца назад

      I sent this video to Raul and he and I had a long talk about it. Several things I discussed in this video will be fixed in coming updates including the gen/alt issue. Some of the things I talked about are limitations in the sim that he can’t help unfortunately which he said includes the slow down effect, but he seemed to think he found a workaround to make it better so let’s hope. However, he didn’t mention anything about the discrepancy in the approach numbers or about the lights getting fixed but I hope those issues will also be addressed soon

Always know what the wind is doing and NO MT flying over 2o knots wind if your from out of town, it can and will kill you. nice Vid BTW!

      Curious, does the 20kt rule apply to piston powered A/C? Flown tons of mountain time in turbine helicopters, and I can’t recall many days when it was anything below 20kts? In fact, somedays you’re counting on it for landings and takeoffs at GW!

    Your camera work, editing, story, and music were all so smooth, clear, and really captured the spirit of this years event. My wife and I and our 17 year old grandson camped in the giant EAA camp ground. We set up our tents Saturday afternoon. An hour later the storm, 60 mph winds, driving rain, one tent blown away. We had a Great time at the show. Maybe the last time we go with our grandson Johnny. He is headed for the Marine Corp after he graduates high school next year.
