Hey man, I just stumbled across your video and I am creating a video game for my final project at college. Your directional dodge is exactly what I need… I have been trying to follow tutorials but none work for the movement system that I have which you just so happen to have as well. I can’t read the code you were showing, and this may be a long shot, but I would be so grateful if you could maybe post screenshots of your code that you had shown here. I can’t really make out the different nodes and I’m still learning the engine. I’ve been just scratching my head trying to get my dodge mechanic to work and this looks perfect.
Oh and I don’t even need the animations, just the code lol

hi, a silly question. Wasn't the movement already 8 directional? where is the difference if I may ask?
The default Mannequin animation is forward and backward only. Added leg animations for the 8 directions the pawn can move in. Giving more fluidity and realism to the pawn movement.

Nice! Do you plan to make a tutorial for this? Is it complicated for beginners?
It's not complicated. Only some knowledge in AnimBlueprints and Blendspaces is required. Using most ALSv4 motion animations it is possible to create this motion. If there is demand, I can think of making a video or text tutorial.

Estou montando um game em low-poly, top-down cam, onde tem um personagem a pé, com sistema de inventário e craft items e armas já implementados. Já tenho os sistemas de tanks, jeeps, carros armados e helicopteros funcionando, onde o jogador poderá pilotá-los. Esse projeto do vídeo é só uma parte que separei que vou disponibilizar no Unreal Marketplace.
