I speak Arabic and I think they mean: Lasombra = "Tribe of the Horsemen" or "Horseman's Tribe" Brujah = "Household of the Trickster" or "House of the Naughty One" Nosferatu = "House of the Beggar" or "The Wandering/Houseless Master" (house here as in shelterless); the first word is not as obvious as I would like to confirm. Toreador = no idea, and not sure where to start unless I see the writing or source. Venture = less of a meaning and more based on a place called Hijaz, so the name means "The Hijazi"; could possibly mean "Those Who Maintain or Keep Hold/Detain" based on the description. Gangrel = "Those Who Speak Annoyingly" or "Those Who Speak in Your Ear To Tempt You or Distract You" not sure why they would name them as such because the name leans towards deception as a concept. Ravnos = "House/Household of Criminals" literally as straightforward and direct as that. Malkavian = "House/Household of the Crazy One" a literal translation as well. Salubri = "The Honest/Truthful Ones" (reference to their faith being the honest one) or "The Trusted Ones" (usually as those who are trusted to keep peace) Cappadocian = "Tribe of the Death/Dead" literal meaning again.

I always felt they should be NG as opposed to LG just based in the lore/stories about them. Silver and golds are my absolute favourite dragons :)

Funny moment to revisit that part of World of Darkness. I remember reading Werewolf the Apocalipse many times, and some of the supplements, without realising even once that the Werewolf did not won the Rage War. I knew the World Map, of course, back them. About as well as I know it today. It was just,...a different time. As recently as the Histeria Biennium was still not obvious that change. Now it feels self-evident. If you hold North America, Western Europe, half the Mexico and some parts of Easter Europe, the other side holds the "rest" of the world. You didn't lost, exactly. But you cannot claim victory. Far from it. Similarly, when we talk about Islamic World, that is almost 2 billion people. Most of them in Asia. A lot of blood! And a human culture that is likely closer to the levels of truth faith (on average) than the post-Cristian populations of West and Australia. Arguably some parts of Eastern Europe, including Russia, deserve to be considered still Cristian Nations, properly. In any case, the Islam has a wild variation of flavours, and degrees of participation of religious confession in daily life of average mortals. We get a immense ground for vampires. However, those vampires cannot fit exactly the same role they fit in the post-Cristian World. Besides, they need to deal with the Easter "Vampires" much more frequently. In at least some of those countries. Have vampires who honestly share the faith of mortals. And mortals who have a faith that (theoretically) does not necessarily excludes devote vampires for participation. Gives the setting a curious and interesting twist. We can have mortals who know that vampires exist, who even keep relationships with vampiric ancestors. Not the way Giovanny do, but in a more organic and mutually respectful ground. Almost an entirely different setting. Without the need to deny or betray a single line from the original World of Darkness. It was always up there. Just implicit.

Some of names being spelled incorrectly. But regardless I do host many of Ashhira games. 3 and I had my fun. Evil storyteller I am. But funnest part is, when the Thinblood of the tower who are my players of 3 were task to be sultan new agent and unwilling slaves, they DO LIKE THE SULTAN who treated them not only fairly but nicely and with well care too so long to hear the law. Which they send a message to the prince with words “We found a new better prince ! We aren’t coming back! Bye bye!” Haha

I can imagine the Ashirra aren't expanding QUITE the same as Islam is. In my Anthropology studies Globalism has helped world faiths like Islam & Christianity spread into Sub-Saharan Africa in because they offer the promise of protection in ways that the older faiths, which frequently relied on being watched over by an ancestor interred nearby, can't. Islam is frequently a better fit for those looking for a world faith that are also coming from cultures with multiple wives. It probably doesn't help when trying to convert someone to tell them "Now the first woman you married is wife, & the rest are simply whores with those kids as your bastards." Despite the growth of Islam in both Sub-Saharan Africa & South East Asia, I HIGHLY doubt the local Keui Jin & Liabon are going to be willing to give an INCH of power to any newcomers.

This video genuinely makes me wonder how does religion exactly work in world of darkness. Like is there one correct religion or is it some weird everyone is right to some extent? I'm honestly curious what's the right answer.

Every night I listen to your lore videos to fall asleep, your voice is so calming and you're always my go to on sleepless nights. Could you do something for me? The "...and have a good day" at the end sure is lovely, but could you change it for "good night"? I know the phrase at the end isn't in character but this wil fit well with vampire theme and the hours I'm listening to you. Also waiting for a Niktucu video.

Thinking of the World Of Darkness... I've been seeing a lot of posts and fan songs about a video game called "Helldivers 2," & it reminded me of the Wraiths who are called Helldivers in Wraith The Oblivion. I hope you cover these brave (and frequently DAMAGED souls,) that willingly enter the Labyrinth for various goals, including hunting particular Specters, or important rescues. Some simply do it because it's the most Heroic thing they feel they can do & to ironically "feel alive."

Some Dragons where created to protect a family , using a family they've been with since created. Dragons are attached to the family😊
