Volvo 240 | Battery Ground Cable
Spent $25 at IPDusa.com and got a new Battery Ground Cable. Super easy to replace. Thought I would share this to keep with the "look at how gross this car is" theme.

IPD Adjustable Torque Arms | Volvo 240
Просмотров 31121 час назад
Every bushing on this 245 was terrible and likely stock from 1987. I got a set of these IPD adjustable torque arms from a buddy new in the box. I decided to put them on because my bushings were so bad, I will get to adjusting them once I find the ride height that I like. Ebay Taillights | Volvo 245

As you can see, the taillights on this Volvo 245 were in terrible shape. I ordered a new set off Ebay from swedish*auto*lamps*for*less / Swedish Car Parts. They arrived very quickly and the packaging was AMAZING. They came with new foam gaskets and everything about them from the quality to the fitment is perfect. Definitely the nicest part of the exterior on this old pig of a car. I can easily ...

In this video I show how I fixed my stuck door lock. The actuator was corroded and I couldn't lock it manually or with the key. I took it apart and fixed for free. Mid way through this video I show how you can make your locks manual. 240 Volvo | Stuck Door Lock Actuator | Free Fix
Volvo 240 | New Brakes

Like everything else on this car, the Brakes were super gross and neglected. I replaced the calipers, rotors and pads. Off camera upgraded go stainless lines, replaced the master cylinder and bled the whole system. Very happy with the results 🙌 #automaintenance #volvo240 #volvoredblock #diyautorepair #brembobrake #brakereppair #volvo245 #safetyfirst #diy #carmaintenance
SHOCKING RESULTS: Marvel Mystery Oil + Lucas Fuel Cleaner + 300 Miles = Happy Volvo 240 Redblock

After cleaning out my Cylinder Head & Replacing Head Gasket I used Marvel Mystery Oil and Lucas Fuel System Cleaner and drove the car for 300 miles. The results were shocking. The oil was as black as tar and looked like it had been run for 30,000 miles. *The current oil in the car still looks fresh and new after 1000 miles* carefully read directions of all products listed above #volvo240 #volvo...

I bought this replacement used. You can find them new online for around $50 USD. If you know how to do this and keep the steering wheel straight please comment. *Be very careful if your car has an a...

stellar video! 💯💯
THANK YOU!
classic volvo electrical issues 💯 great video!
I dig these little fixes ❤
That looks like it’ll work a lot better!
I don't think I cussed once the whole time 🙌🤣
@ 😂🤙
That was worn for sure
Holdin on for dear life
Tight spaces good for knuckle busting
These cars are easier to work on but do require a little contortion 🤣
Awesome! 👏
THANK YOU!
Came for the content, stayed for the fart noises
💨💨💨
How much more expensive are they than the non adjustable ones?
The poly bushings aren't very much $ but I plan to lower this car a bit. Maybe lift it in the winter so I got these and skipped the annoying bushing replacement.
Sick!
😍
Is that a 740!?
🤫
Thank you for sharing
No problem! Thanks for watching 🙏
Fresh lights are a great way to transform the look of a car. 👍🏼
Waited too long. Also should have filmed draining the half gallon of water out of these old ones 😂
Your videos are so easy to follow and very ASMR! I like it

I always enjoy your videos!

@@BannedWagonFX I don't know what that means but thanks for stopping by 🤣🙌
Put the Oil Filter on too tight.
Yeah that first one was really on there. When I changed I just got it as snug as I could by hand and checked for leaks 👌
The yogurt container is a brilliant idea! Thank you for a great video. The Delo 400 was a surprise. Maybe I’ll try it.
@@davidblood9882 as you know there are some serious rabbit holes when searching for "the best" anything. A number of people on forums I trust love Delo in their race and daily driven cars. It's at local parts stores and isn't too spendy. The container trick I learned from my dad. Thank you for watching! Never thought an oil change video would get watched but this motor was gross so I figured why not film every step along the way.
That oil pan is very "sensual" looking....
Now that you mention it I can totally see what you're saying 🤣
About five years ago, my 2002 Chevy truck had a loud lifter ticking noise. It was a quart low on oil, so I added a quart of Marvel Mystery Oil to the crankcase. Soon the lifter ticking noise disappeared. I drove the truck about 400 miles and when I changed the oil, it was extremely dirty. This was telling me that the MMO was removing the sludge out of the engine. I have also been using Marvel Mystery Oil in the fuel of my car, truck, and lawn mower at every fill up since 2016. Everything is running better than ever, and my car now gets at least one to two more miles per gallon on the highway.
This stuff is amazing!
Hey man, you just picked up a B23 from me and mentioned the channel, so here I am. Good stuff.
🙌 hey dude thanks for finding me. I'll be lurking your channel this evening 🕵️♂️
04:05 that hammer ... used the same one yesterday re&re'ing a front crankshaft seal 😂 funny seeing it in your video
There's a few cramped spots on these cars but I can't complain. Being NA under the hood it's like an old farm pickup space wise.
Yay!! So much better! Does this have airbags or too old of a car?
No airbags but it's crazy how much safer they are than almost every other car.
The sound effects are a nice touch! 💯
I'm trying so hard not to voiceover! I hope the sound effects and captions make people happy 🙏😬
That makes my hands and wrists ache just watching this lol
Definitely a different kind of Yoga 🤣
Nice!

Nice to see
Fixing stuff is my favorite ☺️
ok, curious. the lead for my O2 sensor on my 93 245 goes behind the head as you've shown. i've noticed a "block off" on the header before the cat and saw this video and was like oh dang that's where it is.
If I'm understanding you, you are saying you have more than one spot an O2 sensor could go. Some models don't have the spot we're talking about up by the head. I just heard from a guy whose 88 only has the spot by the CAT. Volvo liked moving things around depending on year and where at in the world the car was released.
@@ShiftBricksGarage the lead on my 93 goes behind the head, when i run the code it's showing O2 sensor. please keep in mind I've had this car for just a year and I'm slowly learning. However, i noticed a bolt in where I would've assumed was the port for the O2 sensor on the exhaust before the CAT. Perhaps there is more than one spot for the O2 sensor to mount? Bottom line, I've not been able to tell where that lead goes.
@@pjmcilwaine later models have the O2 sensor down by the cat
@@markkaufman5031 correct, the port is blocked off and whomever connected the lead to something behind the head that i simply can't see. I'm gonna see if i can remove the bolt on the exhaust closing the port, plug the O2 sensor in and see what happens. if no good I'll just put it back as it was. I'm thinking it was bypassed somehow. the car runs very rich so I'll experiment and see....
Man I was just thinking I need to do this on my car. 👍🏼
Take a look at it. If it's good 👌 if it's bad it'll be easier when the part arrives. I'm gonna check mine here and there until I get it running great.
Doing mine this week! Mine’s an ‘89 so it’s down by the cat.
@@markkaufman5031 spray it with somethin like Blaster a few times before the and let it stew 👌 This one on my 87 was so easy I think the universe was being nice to me 🤣
I love working on my Redblock.
Always something to do!
Looking forward to the next video!
Good idea! The Volvo car community is really going to benefit from this guy. 👏🏼
🥺❤️
Good Job! Keep it up!
