How embarrassing. This is why we probably shouldn't complain about GT7. If they didnt care so much about accurate replication we wouldve gotten FM. Even though I want other tracks and cars I don't want something throw together jus tto get it out like FM

I played a little bit of GT7. The only bad thing really about it is how hard it is to make credits. The visuals are pure car porn.

GT7 makes Forza look like Autocad. I am old enough to remember when Need for Speed tried to reach Gran Turismos levels of graphics and simulation but failed. No I am witnessing it a second time with another company.

GT7 on my PS5 yes has the edge on pretty but motorsport just has a more realistic driving feel! My pS5 is gathering dust for the first time!

Tbf this car was created as a concept in GRAN TURISMO so forza never really had a chance...

The sky/ weather is the best aspect of GT7. VERY VERY underrated!!

One is made by people passionate not just about cars but their own game. The other is made by some guy in an office cranking out models all day because their platform needs a GT game, too. One studio is inspired by the real world and capturing and sharing it in digital form. The other studio is tasked with emulating their results. One studio is lead by a guy that fell in love with the original GT-R and idolised its engineer while in university. The other studio is lead by whoever the platform holder put there and would be just as happy being reassigned to some other job with exciting new possibilities. Polyphony Digital has been making the same game with the same team since the late 20th century and they show not a hint of being done with it.

Both games looks great but let's be honest Forza has always had more alive tire and suspension physics

They saw the decent tire texture and normal map and concluded the rest of the model was as equally as Good.

Who at Turn 10, though that the sun casts infinite light everywhere? It’s as if there are spotlights all around the car and there’s hardly any shadows. Also, the fact that GT7 has interior button decals/symbols and FM doesn’t, is just sad. I mean hell, they didn’t even model the door handle in properly on FM. I just looks like one solid piece instead of actually being a door handle with depth to it.

I may be against the trend, but I prefer FM. I can't stand such a strong reflection on GT cars. It blinds. Around you only see videos that compare two car titles only from an aesthetic point of view. I can't find one that compares from a pure driving perspective. And there too I believe that FM provides better sensations than GT, especially with the new tire model.

Comparison videos like these don’t really tell the whole story. GT7 uses ray tracing and other enhancements in photo mode where Forza is using full ray tracing both on the track and in photo mode. Environment, weather effects and track detail are better in Forza. If extreme close up details of car models are what build immersion for you, that’s great. From someone who’s played both games, I prefer Forza simply for the overall presentation. I don’t spend any time in photo modes so details that can’t be seen from a normal play perspective really don’t factor in for me. 60fps with ray tracing and enhanced environment detail is a fair trade for some car model level detail in my opinion.

I love Forza, I started playing it when Forza 2 came out up to Forza 4. I just got the newest Forza and skipped 5-7. Graphically Forza 8 isn’t what I was hoping it to be, the racing and physics feels good though. What irks me the most is the car levelling. It’s too much of a grind and ultimately makes the credits earned from winnings ONLY useful for purchasing cars. I’m still playing F8 because I like racing and overall it’s not terrible. It’s just more disappointing in other aspects (car levelling, career, and some graphical issues)

Forza is such a disappointment. Turn 10 needs to stick to Horizon. They don't do simulation racing well. Forza Motorsport just seems like Horizon on tracks.

Forza looks like its made from China. Shiny, loud, and hollow. While Gran Turismo oozes with Japanese passion, detail, and perfection.
