4 Days Bow Hunting Dall Sheep in Alaska - Late Season Hunt on Pioneer Peak in the Snow!
My first ever actual hunting experience with any real planning and Nathan’s first Bow Sheep Tag (Nathan has hunted lots of other big game). All things considered, we did pretty good for being two out of shape dads… we covered 14 miles and 7000’ of elevation of 4 days, and got within about 200 yards of a legal ram. Not close enough, but plenty of inspiration for future hunting adventures!

Scuba diving in Alaska is kinda like going to outer space
Просмотров 1653 месяца назад
This was a celebratory dive after our group completed the Dive Master course. The dive takes place in resurrection bay, Alaska. Between the cold temperatures, massive tide swings, and raging currents, diving in Alaska kind of makes me think of outer space science fiction. I’m not an astronaut, but it feels like this is as close to doing a space walk on an alien planet as I’m going to get. While...
My Alaska

This is a compilation of some of the highlights of living in Alaska for 3 years. I met some of the best of friends, had some of the best of times, and when I had to leave it has been calling me to go back ever since (hence the soundtrack choice). I hope this reminds my friends of the good times we've shared and maybe inspires some to go explore the last frontier!

Lems nine2five 2-year airline pilot shoe review

Former Army pilot, 2 years at a regional airline, and now flying for a fractional ownership corporate jet company... I’ve worn a lot of different footwear and I was excited enough about this shoe company to make a review video.
Airplane delivery with my wife
Просмотров 2184 года назад
Stranded at JFK right before Christmas our hope in getting on a flight home was dwindling. I’m an airline pilot with standby flight benefits. My wife and I decided to take a short trip to NYC to see the sights but didn’t really consider that it might be hard to catch a flight home at Christmas time. After getting bumped off of two flights home, it was not looking good for the rest of the day an...
VCHSS Round 1 2018 - My first Hare Scramble - Integrity Moto Racing
Просмотров 2,3 тыс.6 лет назад
My friend Dave has been going on and on about how we need to start doing hare scrambles if we want to get serious about off road long distance riding. He finally got me out to the first race of the season and I entered with my trusty old 2002 Honda XR400R. Well it turned out to be on of the most intense things I've ever done and we haven't talked about much of anything else besides the next rac...
Fastest Dirt Bike Frame Swap Ever!

When the DMV will not work with you... when border patrol will not make an exception... when all hope fails and all seems lost... IMPROVISE! My friends and I wanted to blast our way south of the border the length of the Baja peninsula. But, there was no way to get our "off-road" untitled bikes the proper paper work to cross the border. Our only option was to buy "street-legal" or "titled" frame...

Army helicopter training: CH-47 (Chinook) advanced airframe transition
Thanks for the video. Really enjoyed it. Why does the one pack tilt back and forth when hiking? Is it not designed for hunting or just loaded too top heavy?
Yea that pack was causing my friend some problems. It’s a Kuiu hunting pack… so it is designed for hunting. But it’s designed to be modular so you can change out the bag size depending on the length of your hunt. He tried looking at it to make sure it was hooked up right after it was leaning like that but it never really got resolved. He wants to sell it and get a stone glacier pack. My osprey pack worked great and is comfortable but I plan to sell it because it doesn’t have a meat carrying system. I plan to get either a stone glacier or a EXO K4 pack for future hunts.
Why try to shoot an immature dink?
It was an any ram tag, and at our ability level there was such a low chance of getting within range to shoot anything with a bow, and as it turned out we weren’t even able to shoot the half curl ram we saw so in the end, the young ram lives on.
Archery ram in AK is incredibly tough, why the tags are any ram. To think "a dink" isn't good enough shows you've never hunted in AK, let alone for a dall
Good call yea, we went with what we had but I know the isobutane jetboil type stoves aren’t quite as reliable and lightweight as liquid fuel… especially for cold temps and higher altitude.
Great vid! I would suggest an MSR whisperlite stove next time on your hunt. Especially at colder climates and elevation.
Sweet. TQ for making this video.
You can try the Livorno model from Groundies. Its more good looking, probably a little more expensive but also they have lots of discounts rigth now in other models
I have been interested in trying out Birchbury shoes, but their customer services leaves a bit to be desired and they didn’t seem as knowledgeable as I’d hope for. I do prefer the appearance of the Birchbury’s to the Lems tho.
I just got both Birchbury Brenstons and Lens Nine2Fives delivered today 💪
@@gustavopaulette3496 how is the width of the birchbury? I love a super wide toe box but not sure they are as wide as the Lems.
@@sublimesamoyed unfortunately their sizing a half a size up suggestion resulted in a shoe that’s far too large for me. I’m a 12.5 and ordered a 13 in the Birchbury shoes and they are too big. Meanwhile I ordered a 12.5 in the Lems Nine2Fives and they fit perfect. Will return the Birchbury size 13s to exchange to size 12(although they are currently sold out in that size). They look really nice but run big
Probably not as wide as the Nine2Fives but almost

Welcome to the thunderdome!!!!
It can be addictive... Daughters and I have been racing the VCHSS for 4 years now... guessing you'll be at round 3 Sunday?
That guy that was on the ground ended up having a concussion and a broken collarbone I read in an update on other videos. Great job on the video, hope to make many myself this year!
Awesome brother!!!
The frames were the same model and year range as the original bikes. I don't know how those frames got titles to begin with. I found them on ebay and was specifically buying titled frames of the same make/model/year range as my own bikes. Then it was just a matter of tearing them down and building them back up on the new frame. Be sure to take pictures of the way cables and wires are routed so you put it back together properly. I didn't take pictures on the first bike and I had a sticking throttle cable.
Awesome work, question though, what frames did you swap these bikes into? I was thinking of buying a few bikes on craigslist, and doing this trick, I was planning on using a Ninja 250 frame... Any details about the frames you bought off ebay would be appreciated.
Awesome video. I'm class 15-21, Stingray. We just finished up. The Faustings are still real
Nice vid
Im trying to do this for my suzuki DR 350 but having trouble finding a bare frame with a title. You gotta improvise to get around all the government bullshit, but theres always a loophole. Cool vid by the way and nice bikes
Very cool video fellas!
4:11 was pretty bad ass
Great vid! I graduated with Stueve in the UH-60M course that year. Brings back some old memories of primary.
