    You seem wishy-washy in this video; satisfied, dissatisfied, then satisfied again. You started off saying the knife stopped functioning. STOPPED FUNCTIONING. Then you say it "wasn't deploying reliably". Then you said the blade "does not deploy at all", but it sometimes does? Which is it? If it's broken up front, right-out-of-the-box, demand a return shipping label, send it back and get a refund. If it's "defective but sometimes works", it doesn't matter, SEND IT BACK, don't wait on it and stop using it. Their site states "We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect item)". This also implies a defective/broken product even though it is not stated directly. Their site also states: "You may return most new, unopened items within 60 days of delivery for a full refund. If you carry it, take it apart, cut stuff, "try it out for a day", or destroy the package: you own it." It sounds like you voided this rule. Next time handle it immediately and stop using it. It does seem you are new at this sort of thing. Your experience with PKW is hearsay without showing the email correspondence. The way you sounded so ticked off in this video leads me to believe you dealt with the vendor harshly (you acted like an a--hole?) and that can be part of the reason they "ghosted you" if they actually did. If PKW really sold ME a defective product, I would demand a return shipping label and get my money back or exchange it. If they ghosted me, I would contact my credit card issuer and chargeback the funds and keep the knife (or wait to see what the vendor does). 2:30 As per the legal stuff, it's a fascinating sort of gray area where the original Federal Switchblade Act has been trumped by local and state laws (as it should be). Some states have zero restrictions. I would not worry about it and if it was shipped via USPS, then I would return it the same way or whichever method suited me. It almost sounds like you ordered a knife that you are not allowed to own in your jurisdiction. You're presenting yourself as a "good guy" and don't want to break or admit to breaking the law on video but it sounds like you already did by ordering the knife. Like I said, what a fascinating gray area in that law. ALSO, it basically states no sales to civilians or non-government entities so whoops, you broke the law because I think you're neither of those.

    • @BellowsBlades
      @BellowsBlades 7 дней назад

      Wow. Pretty much everything you said is conjecture and just wrong. They absolutely would not pay for a return shipping label, which is why I didn't pay to ship it back. Of course I tried to get them to do so, since the item was defective. I was able to fix the knife myself, and now I love it. It has been 100% reliable since then. It is legal to own automatics where I live, although fairly recently. This knife was purchased after automatics were made legal in my state. I was back and forth because the action was so smooth and the blade play so minimal, that when it was functioning, it was really impressive. Obviously I was bummed when it stopped working. Again, I have since fixed the problem and this has become my favorite beater knife. I'm not sure why you seemed so personally offended by my take on this knife and the company that sold it to me. Regardless, thanks for watching and have a great day!

    you dont know shit for somebody trying to sound like they do. no wonder you can't think of a purpose for that knife. it's for general utility and self defense. all Ned Foss knives have names. that one is "the beast" for obvious reasons. do us all a favor and stick to reviewing IPAs and door knobs..

    Viper tech imo is crap. Ive had a lightning thst took everything i threw at it before losing it and 2 vipers. Both vipers broke within a few weeks of use. Not even during use. The mechanisms just quit in the exact same way super quickly

    • @BellowsBlades
      @BellowsBlades 28 дней назад

      I have to agree. I never carry the Viper-Tec anymore because it just feels so cheap. The lightning spent a ton of time in my pocket until it was replaced by a Livewire. I love that knife for an everyday beater knife.

  • @Prizrak-hv6qk
    @Prizrak-hv6qk 28 дней назад

    Seems like Kershaw realizes that Microtech has the LEO/Military/Mall Ninja market locked in and decided to fill the EDC OTF niche instead with this knife. I mean, Ultratech is perfect size and has the perfect clip for MOLLE carry, the switch is pretty much designed for gloved use and it's equipped with an effective glass breaker. This knife doesn't seem to care about any of those things. It also looks to be much better for everyday cutting type of stuff.

    • @BellowsBlades
      @BellowsBlades 28 дней назад

      @@Cujobob, but the Microtechs will still be twice the price. Don't get me wrong, I love a Microtech, but Kershaw will have wider appeal at that price point.

    • @Prizrak-hv6qk
      @Prizrak-hv6qk 28 дней назад

      @@Cujobob Well, it was definitely time to update the designs, as there's generally an increasing amount of viable competition. Microtech set the gold standard for mass-produced US made (real "US made" - not Cobratec and such) OTFs for a long time, but now there's Guardian Tactical, Axial, Heretic, Kershaw and even improved models from Benchmade to contend with.

    The shaman is one of those knives that I hated when I first saw it, but the more I see it I kinda like it. I still dont have one though, mostly because I think its absolutely insane to charge 380 bucks for a knife in S30V or M4 steels in 2024. Even when they are on sale for 100 bucks less, its a hard pill to swallow. Especially when they did a sprint run of S90V for the same price, that I would actually be willing to pay for. Idk considering to look for one used

    • @BellowsBlades
      @BellowsBlades 7 месяцев назад

    I just ordered one of these because after trying a couple of others for daily use, I find them to be too small for my hand. It seems hard to balance logistics and usability with these things, either its too small and dinky to do what you need it to, or its too bulky to carry around. The Delica for instance has the opposite problem for me, where its small, light and easy to carry around, but using it for more than a couple of minutes makes my hand cramp up haha

    Yeah you sound pretty biased. No positivity and we can hear it in the tone of your voice that no matter what it won’t compare to you $400 Microtec. I mean how can you even compare the brand of knives John Wick used to a $90 knife? You can’t. Micro tech are Italian made blades and most are built for combat. So it really doesn’t matter because we clearly know you don’t like this knife because it’s cheap.

    • @BellowsBlades
      @BellowsBlades 7 месяцев назад

      I get what you're saying, but it isn't completely accurate. I don't mind affordable knives. I just don't like cheap knives, which this knife is. For example, I have a Lightening Elite OTF that cost me $30 that I carry all the time and love. It is a third of the price of this knife, but easily 3 times better quality. Sure, the steel is soft so you have to sharpen it more often, but it is an awesome knife for $30. I really need to do an updated review on the Lightning Elite, since it stopped working during my review, which affected my opinion in the moment. I've since figured out the issue and fixed it and it has been 100% reliable since then and my favorite beater knife.

I think they’re starting to do a lot better compared to video reviews I’ve seen from a year ago or longer. I’ve seen reviews on Vipers that go back 3 years. I just received mine yesterday. I highly suggest you purchase one that’s more recent and take advantage of the buy one get one free offer. I believe it applies to knives from $89.95-$99.95. The one I actually paid for costed $99.95 and the free one was of the same value. Both came in nice boxes including Velcro belt holders.

      @@BellowsBladesalso feee shipping and came pretty damn fast to my door! I live in Montana and my knives came from Florida. So I was very impressed with all that.

    Rip off definitely but not a clone, there is MANY differences for it to not be a clone. A clone is just that, a clone. Tries to be a 1:1, this is clearly not. Just Ripped off Spyderco’s design and did enough adjustments to avoid legal action. The Axis lock BENCHMADE LOST THEIR PATENT.

      Yes, since I shot this video, that became abundantly clear. Crossbar locks are everywhere now!

    several other utubers were shooting low left.

      That's interesting. With my moderate skill level, I generally assume low left is my fault and not the gun. It is probably the most common shooter error and is easy to do even for fairly experienced shooters. But if there is a trend across multiple shooters, that could point to an issue with the gun.
